My husband and I ordered a couple pastries and some coffees. Pastries were delicious! I enjoyed my Latte, but my husband didn't care for the Cappuccino (not like what he gets at QT I guess.. lol). Employees were nice and helpful. Lots of adoptable cats...roaming about. I did not notice any litterbox smells like some reviewers claimed. The place was busier than I expected during the week at 10 am, but we enjoyed ourselves. If I lived closer I would visit frequently!More

This is the 3rd different cat cafe we’ve been too. It is also the one we were least impressed with. It’s the first one that smelled like cat litter as soon as you walk in to the cat area. There were two litter pans in...the cages of the new cats. Next, we felt like we were imposing because there were friends of the worker there, so they’re laughing and talking. We felt like we’d walked into someone’s house who had company. One woman kept following the attendant around talking to her and a man, who was loud kept laughing about the crackers the woman in the food area gave him. Also, they had places for the cats to hide themselves, which is good, but there were so many that only a few cats were even visible. It felt dirty to us, completely unlike our experience at similar cafes in San Diego and Cleveland. The one thing that I really liked, though we didn’t use was an adult only time. We’ve been to cafes at times when kids are there and are loud or come up and tick off the cat that you happen to be interacting with. I think that’s a great idea. Clean it up, move the litter pans to the back area where the cats can still access it, but where guests don’t smell it (very unpleasant when you’re eating something), keep friends of employees out, and minimize the hiding places. If they’re uncomfortable with the people, they can always go in the back. I believe the door had an opening the cats could go through.More

Mauhaus Cafe is part of the trend of new cat cafes appearing in the US. US laws are a bit more strict, so they aren't as crazy as the ones in Asia. The baked goods here are very tasty. The cats were friendly and did...not seem to be tortured by living in a cafe. It was kind of smelly in the car area, but what do you expect.More

We visited this place on Saturday morning. There were at least 10 people and about 6-7 cats walking around playing, some sleeping and some observing the action from high above on the resting places close to the ceiling. Few cats were friendly and allowing to...be patted, mostly though cats were either sleeping or resting and displaying signs of displeasure upon being touched. A couple of people got scratched by the cats, who clearly wanted to be left alone. It was nice to observe cats and pet the ones who were accepting it. Overall a great concept and staff working there were very welcoming and eager to share stories about cats. Suggest going either on weekdays or early Saturday. By mid-day Saturday and especially Sunday cats get "tired" from human interaction and are more likely to avoid being patted/have any interaction with humans. Best time to visit is on Wednesday, as this cafe is closed on Mon-Tuesday and cats are more excited to be in human company after 2 days of rest.More

The cats are so cute and they have so many beds to get into! It was fun seeing them all and learning about their personalities. Definitely stop in and give them some attention! ❤️

This was the first cat cafe that we had ever been to and really enjoyed it! Especially if you love cats, this is for you. Staff was friendly and the cat area is very cute. Cats are clearly well taken care of and one was...adopted while we were there. If you are in the St. Louis area, this is a fun and relaxing way to support local adoptions.More

Outstanding little coffee shop that happens to have a cat room. My children loved spending and hour with fun kitty’s while my husband and I enjoyed a delicious cookie and and coffee. Go check it out. There is only an admission fee if your don’t...buy a treat or drink.More

We LOVED our visit to Mauhaus!! We loved being able to hang out with the cats (and their caretakers!), and we would have walked out with one if we weren’t on our honeymoon. The concept of having adoptable cats and coffee is just wonderful, and...we hope many more people visit (especially those who CAN adopt!). Check out this cafe if you are ever in St. Louis!More

We had been looking forward to visiting Mauhaus ever since it opened! We reserved our slots for my daughter's first day off after the school year ended, and we were so disappointed! No appealing savory food options, just some average baked goods and potato chips....Despite our reservation, there was no place to sit with our overpriced pastries & drinks because there were so many people inside the space with the cats. A laptop user eventually vacated a 4-top so we could sit, but there was little opportunity to interact with the cats because there were just too many people. 2 younger guests followed the active cats around the space, so when one finally ventured our direction, they moved in and prevented my daughter from being able to pet her. We love the idea of this place, but the execution is extremely poor.More
