We are very fortunate to have had a long standing business in the Branson Missouri area. We were originally called Wasabi’s but changed that name a few years ago. You can still find info about both online but we are very happy to have had the same owner, Billy Whang as chief proprietor and head sushi chef. Most everyday you can find Billy doing what he loves at his sushi station at Wakyoto’s.Lunch and Dinner services are everyday (closed select Mondays throughout the winter months). But this restaurant serves both the tourism client and the local residents so business is always steady with lots of great fresh fish and lunch and dinner items.Wakyoto is a “Local” spot and many of the residents…

Vacation

Food was GRRREAT! I totally recommend it if you are in Branson, Mo I am a really picky eater, but they had everything on the money I couldn’t even complain

If You Love Sushi, This Is Your Destination!

We were planning to eat at another establishment, but it was closed. My husband didn’t want anything “hot”, as it was a very warm day. So, I went on my trusty Trip Advisor app. I was surprised, and very pleased, to find Wakyoto so highly...recommended! As it is located in a small strip mall on the “Strip”, we passed it, at first. When we parked, the outside looked very plain. Hesitantly, we entered. What a wonderful surprise! The interior is clean, with lovely, intimate seating, and very friendly and welcoming staff. We love sushi, and were happily going through the menu, picking out our favorites. I happened to turn to the end of the menu and found the sushi “boats”. Since it was just the two of us, we ordered the “small” boat. The dinner included really good Miso soup and a salad with creamy ginger dressing-both delicious! The sushi boat was fabulous! We ate everything on it, even though we were very full, because it all was so delicious. When we return to Branson, we will definitely dine there again! This was a delightful dining experience!More

Box dinners

We ordered the box dinners for delivery. Good portions. The teriyaki chicken, pork dumplings and bulgogi were delicious. The salad was good too, the soup was a miss though. Would order it again

Highly recommend!

I love this place! It is the best Japanese restaurant in the area. The owners and staff are very helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful. The food is fresh and delicious, authentic Japanese sushi. My personal favorite is their Wakyoto...special.More

Pleasantly surprised.....

We were pleasantly surprised to happen upon this little gem, for a wonderful light birthday dinner meal. (Having had brunch at Keeter Center, this made for quite the gastronomically satisfying day.) The facility is clean and well-maintained; with a typical Asian restaurant decor. Our server,...Yuna, was polite and attentive. We enjoyed the gyoza, avocado and eel rolls. Everything was fresh, tasty and nicely presented. If one is seeking some very good Japanese cuisine; this restaurant is a solid option.More

Amazing!

Best hidden gem. Everything was so fresh. The sushi was the best. Loved the Alaska roll and the Vegas Roll. We liked it so much, we went back the next day for lunch! Service is great. There’s just one young lady and she was so...nice and efficient. May have to go back one more time before we leave. Don’t let the fact that it is in a strip mall turn you off. If you’re a sushi and Japanese fan, this will be your new favorite.More

Ate there 2 days in a row

This is our favorite restaurant in Branson. Well we love Asian cuisine. It is not hibachi. But the food is delicious. Service always pleasant. We will be back

Awesome!

A+ Japanese cuisine! They have a good variety of sushi, both cooked and not, as well as other options. Friendly staff serves this little hidden gem in Branson

Our favorite restaurant in Branson!

We ate dinner here two nights in a row. The sushi was delicious! The staff was very inviting and very friendly. The prices were reasonable and the environment was clean and trendy. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Branson.

Great place

Food is excellent, flavored Sake is the bomb. We had several rolls and sides. All are great. Service was fast and good
