Have been there about a dozen times since they opened. Food and service are good. They seem to get better every time we go. New building is nice and well thought out. This a great fine dinning location and continues a long tradition by the same...family at Dixie Springs.More

I’ve been coming here for years but this is first time since reopening, facilities are very nice but food and service has slipped tremendously, my coworker told me this but I had to see for myself, food arrived cold, no bread was brought, order was...wrong, main offense was the price of ribeye that I could have gotten at corral for half price, it’s not acceptable to serve a grisly steak cold and over cooked for that price. Someone needs to pay attention to details that’s what sets good apart from great. Very disappointed because place looks great.More

Dixie Springs is back with a big new splash! An old church was moved in and has become part of the beautiful NEW Dixie Springs. We used to eat there years ago in its first space, but this past weekend my husband's 50th class reunion...held an even there in the old church building section of the restaurant and it was stunning. They served a buffet which was delicious and we all sat at tables and had the most delightful evening visiting with each other, enjoying the food and the cash bar that was provided. I only wish we lived closer so we could eat there every week. If you visited before the fire, you MUST go back and see the "new improved" version of an old favorite!More

This was one of our favorite places to eat. I recently heard they were going to rebuild (a fire destroyed their building). I hope it's soon!

Dixie Springs Cafe has been a very good restaurant over the years, however at this time it is out of service due to fire. It burned to the ground and as of April of 2016, they are in the process of rebuilding. Will try to...give an update when reopened.More

Local TV in Jackson, Ms reported that the restaurant burned to the ground. The pictures on the air confirmed this report.

People is friendly, food is fairly good, I would go there on my next visit. I recommend the catfish dish.

This is rumored to be a fine dining restaurant. It is not. A fine dining restaurant does NOT marinate a steak OR cover a steak in gravy unless they are cheap/tough cuts of meat. The food is inconsistent and the staff has never been competent...in the 4 times we have been there. After dark, it's a glorified nightclub so get out while you can.More

Fried bread is a treat - must ask for. Steaks cooked to perfection, just not as hot as they should have been when served.

not so much. Our server was clearly overwhelmed and poorly trained, But my meal, however, was spectacular. The crawfish dip was my favorite, and then the shrimp dip with toast. The onion rings are supposed to be good there, but skip those. Nothing spectacular there....I had broiled shrimp with a baked potato and asparagus and would have licked my plate if I had not gotten so full on yummy crawfish dip. The server forgot to bring our salads till we asked for them, so they came just after our meal. I don't know if the dressing were any good, because I was too busy savoring my shrimp. I had been there once before, and I will go again. My previous experience was exquisite, so I hope our server will have learned a bit before I find myself in Mississippi again.More
