Went to the new ridgeland location last Sunday, 6/19
Got there at 1130. Ordered at 1150. Got our food at 1245. Hamburger ok. Not worth an hour wait. Obviously, the kitchen crashed. Bartender asked what was wrong with me. Said I was starving. A smart...restaurant would have offered an app on the house and an apology. Nothing from this incompetent crew
Went to Ticos steak house on Thursday’s night. Ordered fried crab claws and a steak. From order to finish of meal, 50 minutes
My wife and children were in the restaurant when a female server sat them beside another table with many tables left open. This is during Covid with a city ordinance stating every other table will be empty. My wife asked nicely to be seated one...table over and was shocked when the server's reply was "sounds like you should have stayed at home." My wife and children left immediately. I called the manager (Ian I beleive) and he was very nice and apologized and stated his server told him she said "I completely understand I have been staying home." I, as nicely as possible, told him my wife stated what she said was very clear and that his server was now trying to protect her job.More
One of our favorite places to eat when visiting our two MSU college kids. Everything is amazing... from the Bulldog Burger to the Pimentology Burger- and not to forget my kid’s favorite, College 15. The fries are delicious, but you have to try the truffle...tater tots. The salads always are fresh too.More
Bulldog Burger is an “upscale” burger joint and bar. Starkville has this weird quirk that many restaurants close at 9 PM. Thankfully, Bulldog Burger doesn’t. We visited at the end of a long day’s drive for a college visit. We were seated quickly. Though service...was slow at first, they became more responsive. Ambiance was pleasant. The biggest disappointment to me was the ultra-greasiness of the food. Fried chicken, spring rolls, and french fries were all overdone. (I’m not a Five Guys fan. If you love Five Guys’s fries, you’d probably be fine with BB’s fries.) Perhaps if we had selected salads we would have had a better result. If you’re in the mood for drinks and less focused on food, BB’s your place. It’s quiet enough for meet-ups, but lively enough to be interesting. Even though it’s part of the local bar scene, it’s still pretty family friendly and worth a visit.More
Made a weekend trip to Starkville for a college visit and tried Bulldog burgers. The burger was pretty good, but the sweet potato fries with caramel was a new twist on an old favorite. Definitely recommend!
