This is the former Bluewater Grill, and before that BWG Steakhouse, which has been reinvented 2024 style into a more modern, casual eatery and bar. The view is to die for — picture 360 degree views from the pretty Perth cityscape across to Fremantle’s stunning sunsets. You can go for late afternoon aperitifs and nibbles through to dinner of substantial mains like seafood ravioli and pork cotoletta (this is big) and if the weather is nice definitely pick the terrace. Inside is still a great spot, with a more formal restaurant-feel and is thankfully much lighter and more ambient than its dark, slightly foreboding predecessor.
The only slight criticism is the underwhelming ‘lite’ wine pour by the glass — we get the whole ‘line on the glass’ guide but the bottom line is it looks stingy in an otherwise faultless service. Staff were lovely.
So if you want to go somewhere to you remind yourself why Perth is the ‘the’ place to live, or to impress visitors to WA, put Heathcote into your GPS and head to one of the most stunning locations in Perth.

Beautiful location overlooking the river. The food was truly delicious. Butter poached prawns with seafood ravioli was to die for. Great service too, the only thing is wine only by the glass or byo Tues and wed with $20 corkage per bottle!

Tucci hosted us for our staff Christmas lunch. From the moment we arrived, all the staff were attentive and welcoming. The venue was set up beautifully and Anthony, our event manager, was always on hand to ensure everything went smoothly.
The food was amazing. We selected the beef cheeks and chicken dishes and could not fault them. The prices are a little on the high side but the food and service merit the cost.

The location is perfect. The portions they serve are very small, we were told that it is more a lunch-size instead of a dinner-size.
The steak I ordered was perfect, but the rest was extremely poor.
An extra salad, just Aldi quality, was really nothing special.
The rose wine my wife ordered was warm, so the solution was to put in extra ice ending up in a glass of cold water with a hint of rose.
I didn’t finish my red wine because it was tasting like dishwasher soap. Probably the glass was not even cleaned properly.
Compare the price and the quality of our dinner, it is at least 5 times over-prised. I must say, after our complaints, we didn’t have to pay for the wine. But that wasn’t the meaning of having a nice dinner.
I will never visit this restaurant again and I will NOT recommend others to do so.

Fantastic evening meal with balmy views over Melville Waters sitting on the plaza .
Potato fritters , focaccia and wonderfully marinated octopus…all deluxe…. Finished with a stunning lamb ragu with ribbon pasta which was perfectly cooked.
Excellent friendly staff. Great wine list, very Italian!
Definitely our new local!

Italian restaurant at Heathcoate Reserve, both indoor and outdoor sheltered dining area, with a view of the waters.
Every dish was excellent, full of flavours, well presented.
Service was awesome, with attentiveness
