We visited PorterHouse for our 39th wedding anniversary along with my parents who were celebrating their 64th wedding anniversary. Our service was impeccable. The restaurant filled up right away at 5 PM when it opened so we were glad to have reservations. This is a must. We enjoyed all our dishes. The Seared Ahi Tuna appetizer, the prawns, the walleye and best of all the liver and onions. We also had cocktails. The Old Fashioned was excellent. I would return again.

Food was good, but around the time we finished our desserts we were advised we had to leave to make room for someone else who had booked "our" table. They apparently have a time limit on how long you can occupy your table so don't plan on going there if you want any time to visit with friends. There won't be time before you are kicked out. For the expensive prices they charge you should be allowed to spend time visiting with friends.

my father in laws 90th birthday was 01-06-20. so we took him to the Porterhouse for a birthday dinner. there were 7 of us, our reservation was for 7 pm, but we had to wait a bit as the place was packed as usual.Aja just happened to be our server again this night & she remembered Lisa & me. after the salads were consumed it was time for the entree. i had the dry aged New York Strip, what a tender, tasty cut of meat it was. between the salad, the meat & a huge baked potato i had to bring the leftover home for sunday lunch.it still tasted great sunday. no complaints from anyone in our party about their meals and we will probably go back for Lisa's birthday next month. see you there ! we even brought in cake to share.

I will start this review by stating that we have eaten several times at the Porterhouse Little Canada location and have always been pleased. This evening I was greatly disappointed. Three of the table ordered filets, one medium, one medium well and one medium rare. The steaks brought to our table went from medium well to well done to a steak so overcooked I couldn't eat it. One diner had their steak remade and the other two choked down what they could. We should have had all three remade. I thought the salmon stuffed with crab was tasteless as well. I have enjoyed the Porterhouse in the past but I will not be returning.

The best value for a steak resteraunt. I eat here 10 to 15 times a year for the last 15 years. I have been to all the top 10 steak resteraunts in the twin cities multiple times and Porterhouse wins hands down for value. The filet, ribeye, strip and porterhouse steaks are all prepared perfectly. Great service, bar and ambiance!

Won't honor a $ 25.00 promotion card given to us from a valentines day promotion. Covid kept us from eating there . I called to see if they would still honor the card and was told no they gave a 3 month grace period . and it' expired now . I use to eat there 5 or 6 times a year at about & 200.00 a time ( smart move porterhouse You get to not honor my $25.00 promotional gift card and I won't spend about a $ 1,000.00 dollars a year there any more) It's a shame because it was my favorite restaurant

On, August 14, my husband and I went here to celebrate my 50th birthday. We were immediately greeted and seated at the smallest table in the very back of the restaurant. We ordered appetizers and food and watched as other guests were seated, ordered, and served. All while we waited. Once our food arrived the $64.00 steaks, we ordered were the toughest piece of meat I have ever attempted to eat. We watched other birthday guests be serenaded by staff for their birthday. I was given my dessert and told happy birthday. As a person of color, I understand this treatment but in 2024 it should be unacceptable. Our $151.00 bill was paid with green money, not black or white. Needless to say, we will never be returning to the Porterhouse. And if that was their goal understand that the message was heard loud and clear.

Disappointed evening in all aspects.
Tried the cajun walleye strips to start with, not seasoned, server provided a plastic cup of seasoned paprika to try and fix, beware of bones.
New York steak was ordered medium well. It was served unevenly cooked
from medium rare to well done and was dry and chewy. The béarnaise was pink and server said it was yellow, either way, it was not edible. If you like crunchy asparagus this is the place to go. Every side (tarter, béarnaise, butter) was served in a plastic cups and appeared to be pre-made or bought from a food vendor. Will not be returning for another 10 years, if ever.

Our Anniversary. Prawns w crab. Please rethink it. Prawns. No flavor. Crab tasted like salty tuna. Soooo BAD !!! Salad and baked potato were only thing good. For the price I was so disappointed. Never will return !!!

The Porterhouse is an excellent place for a fantastic steak! The staff makes it a memorable experience. We had Aja as our server and she did a terrific job with food suggestions and getting exactly what we wanted. All-in-all it was a overall great time!

Cozy wood-paneled decor like the Wisconsin supper clubs I grew up in. Excellent, attentive service. Delicious steaks. Wish we'd tried this place a long time ago but it doesn't look that special from the outside so we always drove by.

I enjoy coming here. We come about every 4 months from across town. The food is great the service is outstanding and the prices a good. Great steaks and seafood.

Porterhouse is consistently great. It is a Steak and Seafood place; don't expect frou frou menúes, but expect excellent food, prepared perfectly. And here's a plus you don't always get- excellent service, every time. Thank you, chef, and thank you Hayley (sp?) for another wonderful anniversary meal!

I've been a longtime steakhouse lover for this restaurant after another homerun dinner my girlfriend left her wallet in the bathroom it was full of money and personal things.she called immediately and Jason said yes come and get it no worries .This place is a staple and excellent example of what it takes to the very best in my eyes may we have many years to come God Bless

We had a wonderful experience at the Porterhouse. The waitstaff was friendly and prompt, thoroughly professional, and the food excellent. Our steaks were prepared perfectly, and the sides bountiful and well seasoned. Special kudos to Issie, who took care of our table with good humor and grace. We heartily recommend this Porterhouse.
