The reviews aren't wrong! We had the Meat Pie and the Philly cheese steak- both were devoured in minutes by my 3 hungry teens! We ordered on a Friday evening about 645 on our way back from a boat tour and they were ready an hour later which we managed to time right so we didn't wait too long. The fella managing the door seemed Very stressed and barked at people a bit trying to manage who could go in and who couldn't which was unfortunate. It made a few groups behind us walk away. It really is great pizza so I recommend calling in your order and sending only 1 person to the restaurant to get your order OR be patient with the staff.

After reading a variety of reviews for eating establishments in Covid times, we decided at too many restaurants, the staff acted as though Covid-19 did not exist. We chose Pictured Rocks Pizza based on the reviews that we read. We were not disappointed. The restaurant has a simple, straight-forward menu, withe the service line set up similar to the Subway version. You order the crust style and then choose from many toppings or from the named pizza styles. Salads are chosen from the cooler. All staff were wearing masks and gloves. Patrons were asked to stay 6 feet apart, although as the building became crowded, the group got closer together. Best advice is to come early. Your pizza is then brought to you, either at an empty inside table or at their large outdoor dining area. The pizza is excellent, perfect size for two, and one of the best pizzas we have had anywhere!

Staff was friendly and helpful explaining some things to us. The pizza came out quickly, hot and fresh and delicious. The place is small with only a few tables inside and a few outside(weather permitting). They have vibrant colors and cute lights inside and outside tons of beautiful flowers. They do takeout and the turnaround time is about 10-15 minutes but they do get busy. The first day we tried to go it was full inside and not nice enough to sit outside, went the next night for dinner and were able to get a table inside.

When we got to the restaurant we were super hungry and the line was so long but we got through the line pretty quickly and our pizza was done in less then 10 minutes. The wood fired pizza was great! They offer both inside and outside seating. Outdoor seating was plentiful and it had a view of the town and water. A must go to for sure when in Munising!

We stopped here after our Pictured Rocks Boat tour. The pizza is really good! We loved that there was an outdoor area to eat. Our family was able to social distance from other customers while we enjoyed our meal. Due to COVID 19 you will need to wear a mask inside the restaurant when you order. While you are seating and eating, you do not have to wear your mask.

Great little pizza shop serving gourmet pies and fresh salads. The two of us shared a meat pie and I added a small garden salad. We were there for dinner. The restaurant was well staffed and everyone was super friendly.
Now for the specifics. The pie was delicious. Everything from the thin crispy crust, the garlicky plum tomato sauce, and the expertly seasoned sausages were perfect. The salad greens were mixed, fresh and crunchy. The other salad veggies were perfectly fresh. The salad was served with a crusty mini Italian Roll.
The portion was perfect for the two of us, but my husband said if he goes back he’s not sharing!
NOTE: We were there during Covid and they had perfect infection control practices. We were able to sit outside on the patio with glimpses of the Bay.

The ingredients were fresh, the pizza was hot, the cheese was good, but the place was overrun with people and inefficient in handling a large crowd. The salads come with packaged dressing and you have to eat the food with cheap plastic utensils. The pizza was tasty; however the crowds made for some aggravation.

It's a great place for pizza before, during, or after a day of sightseeing in the Munising area. Pizzas come in one size (12") and they make them quickly. The menu provides a lot of options for whatever you want.
Seating is limited and could be a problem at peak times, but this wasn't a problem for us, especially given that it was a sunny day so outdoor seating was pleasant. The pavilion for outdoor seating is covered, but on a rainy day it could be unpleasant getting there if indoor seating is full.

We did takeout and really enjoyed our pizza. Their pizzas come in one size, which is 12". You can build your own pizza or choose from a number of options. I loved that some of the pizzas had a local touch to their names; one of our pizzas was the Pictured Rocks Local Special. I also liked the "Greenbox" it came in, which had perforations in the cardboard so that you could use sections as plates.

My husband and I have mixed feelings about this place. It was busy when we arrived. We did not know the process of ordering vs being seated do we needed to act quickly to keep the line moving. We ordered Margherita pizza and half order of breadsticks. I might have ordered a salad but they were located past the ordering counter and there were people in front of it.
I really enjoyed the pizza but my husband thought it was just ok. The garlic breadsticks were chees bread sticks and not garlic in my opinion.
All in all, we enjoyed ourselves here. We were hungry and the service was quick.
This is a good last minute eatery.

Delicious pizza made crazy fast! We loved the Moonshine BBQ specialty pizza (no peppers though) and the sausage pizza with the creamy garlic base in place of the traditional red sauce. The sausage was a sliced variety and very tasty.
We also got an order of the cheesy breadsticks —the marinara dipping sauce tasted so fresh and light. This lunch hit the spot after a morning of kayaking.

This place is crazy popular and a lot of people must really enjoy it. I write this review as more of a warning that this isn't "standard" pizza fare. If you are expecting something like a "Jets", "Papa Romanos", "Hungry Howies", this is not that. This is wood fire grilled with more of a marinara type pizza sauce. There is no "standard" pizza sauce to get instead. To be clear, this does not mean that you won't like the pizza or that it isn't good at what they do. It just means that it wasn't our favorite, and our son didn't like it at all. The location is wonderful and the outdoor eating it quite lovely.

My husband and I ate here for dinner one night while visiting Munising. The order process was very efficient, and they had numerous different unique pizza options. If the options don’t suit you, one can also choose your own toppings.
We sat outside in their beautiful flower garden. Our pizza came out quickly. The crust was delicious along with the overall pizza. The only downside was that the restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol as I would have liked a glass of red wine with my pizza. Overall, the experience was great!

Far and away the best restaurant in the area. Great pizza prepared expertly, using great ingredients. All staff were wearing masks and gloves, which was nice to see. We wish we would have tried this sooner in our visit, it would have saved a lot of frustration with the other offerings in a town where we were beginning to think the gas station had the best dining experiences. I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed!

Pizza was very good. They make it on front of you. Can choose old world style (mozzarella chunks, then sauce) or New York style if designing your own. They also have favorites you can order from. Cheese bread is like a garlicky cheese pizza. Shop isn’t very big and there were a lot of people waiting to order. Even with what looked like a lot of chaos inside the staff were all very friendly and service was quick. Pizza brought out very quickly after order.
