They are endless options here and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. The staff were super friendly and help you limit your choices. The Oreo cheesecake and the baklava are both excellent!

Very tasty items with a very large selection for everyone from the chocolate addict to the gluten-free individual.
Greek town is very cute and this is a must-do. They have a wonderful selection. The pastries were amazing. They also have coffee selections
Stopped in with a friend to grab a treat. Great selection of offerings with decent prices especially considering the area. Wide variety of options also available from cake to baklava to ice cream. Got the chocolate covered pistachio baklava. It was good not the best...baklava I've had but decent. The pecan pie bar was wonderful! Gooey and perfect! Staff was friendly and helpful.More
Never have we seen such a fabulous bakery. Everything was beautifully made, and the displays were out of this world. A must see!!!
The raspberry cronut was one of the best things I've ever eaten! Also tried key lime pie, oreo cheesecake, and lemon bar. Lemon bar was the best of those three, but all were amazing.
I chose the chocolate-covered sugar cookie...OMG! I am craving ever since. I should have grabbed a bunch.
We like to take our kids here on their birthdays to pick out a treat (or two). It's become a tradition. Most recently, I had coffee, a ham croissant and a macaroon for lunch while serving jury duty. The coffee was almost sour (even though...only $1) but the food was great! It's a little pricey but no more than any other specialty bakery.More
Peppermint hot chocolate is very good. Large selection of yummy sweets. Strawberry macaroon little too sweet for my kiddo but she ate it all!
Established by the Teftis family in 1971 Astoria Pastry Shop is interwoven in the history of downtown Detroit, the Greektown location still standing while those in the suburbs can also find a similar selection of Baked Goods in Royal Oak. Advertising “over 100 fine Pastries”...daily, George Teftsis’ son Tasso now in charge, Astoria Pastry Shop looks unchanged from the turn of the century, everything from Macarons to Sweet Potato Pie lined up adjacent traditional sweets such as Koulourakia and Finikia. Most famous for Balkava, several styles offered including various Nuts and even Chocolate, additional choices on this day included a nutty Apricot Tart and two Cookies, a “Shell” featuring crisp Meringue around filling half-dipped in Chocolate while the “Black & White” was nothing like its deli namesake and more like Hardtack.More
Stayed at the Hollywood greektown casino hotel this week and we stumbled upon Astoria bakery and boy are we glad we did. We are however really bummed that we waited and did not try the cronut on the first day because when we went back...on our last day we were leaving They didn't have any as they don't come out until like 11:00 a.m. and we were so so bummed! They look mouth watering. However all of the items we tried were absolutely delicious! This morning I had the best cheese danish I've ever had in my life as well as the best Apple glazed muffin! I usually don't even like cheese danishes because they don't have enough filling and are usually dry for me. This was a 10 out of 10! The filling was plentiful and delicious and the pastry was flaky moist and crisp all at the same time. Phenomenal. We also tried their hot caramel lattes two days in a row because they were so delicious! Give this place a try and you will not be disappointed. We loved it and will be back for those cronuts! Oh we also tried the lemon macaron and it was to die for as well I wish we would have gotten more.More
Terrific Greek pastries, as well as a wide array of cookies, cakes, and decadent desserts. I had a wonderful almond milk cappuccino, too. Love this place!
We saw the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to make this a stop on our trip. It was great. The prices are cheap, the pastries we got were delicious and the service was fast! I loved how they boxed and tied our purchased like...an old fashioned shop. We tried the black and white cookie, the peanut butter cookie, the cannoli, the strawberry tart, the German chocolate cake (delicious). All were AMAZING! Just pray you can find 10 minute parking in front or make it a walking destination. Enjoy!!More
A delightful afternoon tea with my grandchildren. So many selections! The chocolate eclair and chocolate torte extreme were delicious!
This place has been a staple of Greek Town. Unfortunately the quality of the pastries has gone further down hill every year. Though very appealing through the glass case, stick to the ice cream.
