We booked weeks ago and given a table opposite kitchen. This was a celebration meal and a three night stay at crown Towers. Food itself okay and service from waitress great but to sit opposite kitchen and listen to two conversations using the f word not okay. Due to time slots the staff try to get you out of there by certain times so once food cooked or waiting for it to come out they congregate at the pass to move it to the tables. Conversations by these people plus language used overshadowed our conversation and honestly was so dissappointed that I couldn’t wait to get out of there For a restaurant that you pay more for I would not bother as nothing fantastic. I made comment to waitress who was lovely. I held back my tears from disappointment and wanted nothing from her or restaurant but felt something needed to be said. Would not rate this place and would try another’s the establisment

Went for the second time and my partner ordered a steak with crispy knopfler potatoes and watercress salad and bearnaise sauce...Ilike fine food and I am french... let me tell you a decent pub would have done as good as them. The presentation was basic average with the sauce thinly spread on top the steak..the potatoes were quite dried ..nothing that you expect for $49...in a supposed fine dinning restaurant.

We chose Bistro Guillaume for my wife and my joint birthday dinner, and we found ourselves a fan of the venue after our first class experience. After reading the various recent negative reviews, I was a little apprehensive of the service & reception we would get for our first date night without our baby. However, we were quickly reassured that this would be a memorable night to remember for all the right reasons the moment we stepped in till the time we paid and left. We were made to feel welcomed and valued even though I only have the basic white Crown Rewards card status. Eric, our Maitre d’, was friendly and quick to help me validate my parking ticket the moment I presented my card and ticket when checking in. He was also very accommodating to grant our request for a beautiful private booth table with an open view of the oasis and pool. Having booked as our birthday, he promptly organised the complimentary sparkling wine & Crown chocolate gift box shortly after we were seated. They were also nice enough to replace my wife’s sparkling to a delicious mocktail after finding out she’s pregnant. Harsh was our waiter who serves us throughout the evening. He was knowledgeable, pleasant and more importantly, seems to enjoy his job. He even remembered my wife’s pregnancy while we were choosing dessert and warned us to avoid the one whipped in raw egg white (we would never have guessed that from the name choc Delish) Besides good culinary taste, another important measure of a fine dining when we are paying good $$ for is the service. And I am glad to say that Harsh excels in that area. He constantly checked in on us subtlety without being intrusive to make sure we are ok with the meal and service, and proactively offered us more bread to share. Meal wise, we had an overall enjoyable 3 course dinner. My wife loved the chicken liver parfait with grilled sourdough entree, and had the linguine crab mains which she found a tad bland. My beef tenderloin mains was delicious though would have loved a bit more jus. Our passionate soufflé was a nice touch with the birthday candle. The evening capped off nicely for us when Eric was patient and courteous with my payment with various Crown gift cards and also the discount with Entertainment App. Happy wife, Happy Life! Tips to remember: 1) Best tables with window & pool view are 51, 61, 71 2) Complimentary Birthday treats when booking as a Crown Rewards member, even with basic white status

Visited bistro guilleme for dinner and unfortunately the pompous french accented matredi had the pretentious mannerisms although the all important food on the table did not align with the arrogance. We ordered the sirloin steak and duck for mains with a large serve of oysters al naturale for starter. Not much can go wrong with raw oysters and these were fresh enough to be delightful. The mains were hit snd miss, the duck was tasty although not amazing considering the price. The sirloin was as tough as old boots, I’m not sure if it was the cut of meat or the cooking process but this was not the melt in your mouth sirloin you expect for the money, far from it most people with a gas bbq could do a better steak, so disappointing that I had to send it back and change the meal. Really needs to have food quality not just ambience which is also becoming dated.

It's a Monday night.... but not any Monday. It's the week before Christmas, The Crown hotels are all fully booked out and it seems every Western Australian is out and about, so I'd expect all restaurants within the Crown complex to be pulling out their best game. Wrong orders brought, dishes forgotten..... and we notice another guest complaining he's been ignored for too long, while people near us were served desert when still waiting on dinner. Staff apologised but the care factor seemed close to zero! Was last here in 2013 and service was atrocious then. How they've survived the past 7 years I have no clue.

Such a letdown on a special day. I spoke to a chef at Bistro Guillaume regarding my allergies before I booked. I was informed there would be no problem with catering for my 50th birthday as dairy and gluten free diets are catered for everyday. On arrival I was told I had a choice of 4 main meal options. I chose the Beef, I was so disappointed when I was served beef, broccolino and 3 onion petals, no jus or any other vegetables. When I politely expressed my disappointment, I was informed there were meals I could eat but they couldn't be altered or added to. I wish I had been told this when I spoke to a chef as I would definitely have gone elsewhere. I find it hard to believe in a restaurant of this quality that I couldn't have been served a delicious meal.

Advised as French inspired and I assumed it was based on the famous Laudree which we frequent when in France . BG 's decor and ambience was good but that's about it . The afternoon tea is an absolute disgrace with minuscule offerings that are barely bite size and definitely not French in any way as both sweet and savoury were lacking in flavour or seasoning . The Tea was lukewarm and we had to ask for sugar and tongs . Not the experience I had planned for my guests. I had to take them back to my suite and order more food . Very deceiving as the sizes look a lot bigger on the website . I have never felt more let down ! I chose this place over the Atrium and the Epicurean and la vie as i wanted a special experience but felt so embarrassed in front of my guests . Just stop serving your pathetic high tea and stick to the a la carte and room service menu that is quite acceptable.

We ate here for our wedding anniversary and were extremely disappointed. We starter with a share plate, which was very boring and the same quality as you can get from behind any Woolies deli. Lacking in basic seasoning. For our main we chose the Chateaubriand. I have never had such a dry piece of medium rare beef in my whole life! The beef alone was dry, tasteless and lacking in everything. We didn’t finish half of it. The sauce had a lovely texture and that’s where it finished, absolutely no flavour. We didn’t bother with anything else to eat, no doubt they would have made a mess of the French cheese! There are French chefs turning in their graves with this appalling attempt.

Absolutely love this restaurant, one of my favourites in Perth. The food is lovely, especially the pate wish I could make it that good! The twice cooked cheese soufflé is delicious and the chateaubriand is to die for!! The service is very good without being overboard, and the wine list is extensive without being over expensive. The outlook over the pool is a lovely vista. The menu has something for everyone, not huge but everything on the menu is done to perfection. Always go for my birthday, free champagne and a lovely box of chocolates 🥰

The positive was the food was fantastic. Service was appalling. To book for 8pm and arrive 5 minutes early to find a queue that took 25 minutes to get to the greeter was disappointing. As we were being shown to our table the greeter yelled out happy anniversary. That was the only mention of our anniversary we received. Husband ordered 1 doz oysters. The person taking the order wrote 1/2 doz. when this was served, my husband advised he had ordered 1 doz. 20 mins later the person who took the order came back and said he must have heard wrongly. During the main meal a bucket of ice was dropped on the tiles near the bar. 10 mins later we, the table behind us and the table next to us were still saying there was ice under my chair. When we ordered dessert we did expect the usual Happy Anniversary message on the dessert plate. Nothing. All in all not the memorable night we expected. We did give the Bistro feed back by email, but have not received any follow up.

The restaurant has a very nice feel about it and all the staff do there best to make it a e joyable experience. The food is good and prices are what one would expect in a high class restaurant Draft beer available and also wine by the glass. My only criticism is that have no non alcoholic beer or wine. Please move with the times people do expect it to be on offer.

Having never been to Bistro Guillaume, the first challenge was to actually find the venue in such a large complex. Staff were friendly and the decor is pleasant and light. The meals were very generous serves and delicious but the three courses took two and a half hours.

Terrible reception. The supervisor guy attending the front desk ignored us (and six other people waiting to be seated) standing at the front desk for over 10mins while he was standing just a few metres from us. When he came over, there was no greeting, and no apology for making us wait. His main interest seemed to be whether everyone had checked in in the SafeWA app. After we got seated, the food was ok, the waiters were great though. After the meal, it took another 10+mins to find someone at the payment till to accept our payment as there was no one in attendance. Eventually the same guy we had seen earlier showed up to process payment - again no apology for the long waiting time. What a shame - the first and last impressions are the ones that are remembered most!

Having eaten at this bistro when it originally opened and having enjoyed the delicious food we were keen to experience it again when staying at Crown Towers. It was a trip to celebrate a huge wedding anniversary for us because of our age. I had French onion soup as a starter which puzzled me as it was definitely not an authentically French soup. It was very greasy on my palate. I realised why when I heard the waiter tell a young man on next table that it wasn’t vegetarian I asked him why? He said it was made with veal stock which appalled me. I don’t eat veal and thought it should be mentioned on the menu. My husband had the steak tartare which, again, wasn’t made in the authentic French way. There was no egg yolk and it tasted very sharp or vinegary. On the plate was thin potato crisps albeit probably hand made but should not be included with steak tartare. Nevertheless we ordered beef tenderloin and the chicken dish for main. Both were tepid and unpleasant so we left without eating the dishes. On paying, the staff member knew how unhappy we were and she couldn’t actually look us in the eye. She said she was sorry and deleted the starters and charged us for the main courses which we didn’t eat. We were left with the feeling that Monsieur Guillaume certainly no longer has any input in this bistro. Thinking it only bears his name. In conclusion we have had better food in the French motorway cafes. Such a shame it was so good in the early days.

My wifes a celiac and we found them to be exceptionally accommodating. We felt assured they were taking her requirements seriously as the waiter came to explain what they do to alter dishes to suit her requirements before we asked (was noted when we book over the phone). She could have almost everything on the menu even the soup came with gluten free croutons and decent gluten free bread. Then to top off a great meal they were able to make the passion fruit soufflé gluten free which was amazing! Can not fault this place food and staff were excellent.
