I lived in Silver Spring 2 decades ago and hoped they were still open when I brought my bride.
They were better than I remember. All the food is fresh, prepared on the spot. From the tasty, crispy chips that are provided with fantastic handmade salsa to the tortillas which roll off their tortilla press constantly, the food couldn't be fresher. The Mrs. had the grilled redfish and I had a combo fajitas with beautiful plump shrimp wrapped in brown-sugared bacon, along with flavorful REAL CHICKEN and beef.
The drinks are magnificent.
The Mrs. is a Cordon Bleu trained chef and we have eaten at many of the best restaurants in the world. I asked her what was the best Mexican meal she'd ever eaten. She said "this one."
Well done, Mi Rancho! We can't wait to return.

They always impress! The manager and owner always take time to greet us. In fact, they go to every table. The food is always amazing, and although wait time varies, the food is always hot. I love their chips and salsa, and dont be afraid to ask for more. We always ask for the cheese dip too! We've been coming to this location for over 25 years. We have seen many restaurants come and go in Downtown Silver Spring, especially during Covid, but Mi Rancho is here to stay. Looking forward to come back again soon!

Three of us dined early on a weeknight and we got great pleasant service. The upstairs dining area was not busy. Very friendly and attentive waiter. Our 3 different meals were all good and plentiful. The Cadillac margarita was outstanding! You have to be sure to enjoy the never ending homemade tortilla chips and spicy salsa sauce.

We always go to Mi Rancho as often as we can in both the summer and winter.the staff and owner are always welcoming and treated as if you are family. The food is ON POINT and you cannot go wrong with any selection. The best Queso app with authentic Mexican cheese and the. Steak fajitas are so very flavorful, tender and our staple. Parking is easy across the street in the public garage for free. Oh the heated out door seating is very nice & the cozy Resturant area is relaxing and homey as well. Just a great local Resturant.

I've been eating here for 30+ years and it tastes the same then as it does now. Their dry rub ribs is of my all time favorite things to eat. The fajitas come pretty well stocked with meat (I always get chicken/steak) and plenty of sides. I do order cheese on the side, I wish it came standard.
They have a new spicier sauce that really improved the overall flavor of my soft tacos. They are very consistent with their food and you always know that it will taste good.
They are not innovating or adding new dishes that I am aware of, but they continue to be busy most nights. They have been a Silver Spring institution and I do not see that changing anytime soon.
I love their sopapillas and fried ice cream as well!

To start positive Mi Rancho makes great margaritas - among the best I've had. They have a nice outdoor terrace which is perfect for Covid-19 and were good at social distancing. But the food always disappoints. We ordered basic Mexican food - chile rellenos (these were OK) and everything else was just not quite average. They can do a lot better.

This is the best place to get a great Tex-Mex dinner or lunch. The food is great, The Service is wonderful and the managers treat you like family. It is a great place to grab some food and watch a football game! Really good Margaritas. Lots of variety. Good salads as well for those watching their weight.

We LOVE Mi Rancho from the staff to the most important food. We get Fajitas steak and the queso is to die for. LOVE it every time we go and making plans to visit for some playoff football. Outside is cozy and big TV.

We dined here on Tues Dec 1. 2020. The staff could not have been more accommodating. They helped my elderly mother-in-law up the stairs in such a caring and professional manner. We dined inside and felt very safe & distanced from other patrons. All precautions were taken in accordance to CDC COVID dining. The food was EXCELLENT! My mother-in-law was very impressed. Five stars for a great restaurant with great food and most of all wonderful hospitality.

Whenever I want to eat some good Tex/Mex food, I go to my favorite place in Silver Spring. People are friendly, reasonable size plates, drinks are good. It is always a pleasure going there.

Mi Rancho is a little gem of a place with Central American/El Salvadoran food. The servers are always on their game and are quick to assist diners. The food is fresh, and the guacamole is delicious. I've never had a bad meal here.

We went to dinner at this restaurant with outdoor soccer team. It was raining when we entered the restaurant. They have an outside area cover with the tent. And although it was winter outside, the tent was heated so we didn’t even notice. The staff are very accommodating and provide excellent customer service. The food is good.

The Mexican grills are excellent in this restaurant, a walking distance from Silver Spring Station. The inside section, where tortilla machine is, can get fairly hot though.
