I don’t even know how to describe how good this meal was. Unexpectedly was taken by a business colleague and was blown away. The food was amazing but for me it really came down to Danny our server and his attention to detail. Literally anticipated...everything. Well done.More

I had lunch here with my uncle this afternoon. Despite getting there just before the restaurant closed to prepare for dinner time the owner kindly and graciously sat us, no questions asked. From the food runner to the incredible server our experience could not have...been any better. This was not our first time here, though it was my first time back in a couple years. I feel that the food only gets better. Be careful! You might get hooked the food is that good! I look forward to taking my fiance there...tomorrow!More

Il Pizzico is one of my favorite local restaurants and this year I've truly missed having lunches with my friends there. Recently, my family had an occasion to celebrate, and we decided to get take outs from Il Pizzico. The restaurant did not disappoint! We...got four pasta dishes and everything was absolutely delicious. The chef used the freshest ingredients which was reflected in the exquisite taste of our dishes; the portions were very generous; and the staff were accommodating and courteous both on the phone and in person during pick up. I also saw an outdoor dining tent set up and am now looking forward to a sit down meal. Thank you, Il Pizzico, for bringing the joy of Italian food to Rockville! My wife and I made a last-minute early reservation on a Friday evening. We were very pleased with the outdoor seating arrangement. Everyone was extremely kind and accommodating. Our cocktails were very well-made— grappa sour and Manhattan. The eggplant appetizer that we shared was wonderful...and our rockfish and salmon entrées were cooked perfectly. We ended our evening by sharing a gelato dessert and cappuccino. Both were wonderful! The COVID arrangements were well done, the service was excellent, and the food was outstanding! This was a great way to end a stressful work week.More

We're so glad to see that Il Pizzico has found a way to reinvent themselves in the time of covid. Mainly, it is the reservation policy and outdoor tenting that has us newly thrilled. The food remains amazing with Chef Enzo producing both creative and...traditional Italian fare. There are always inventive specials along with the regular menu. The basket of bread with black olive tapenade was delivered quickly to our table. The eggplant appetizer with a half order of the veal ragu pasta started off our meal. Our main courses were a veal dish and the tenderest swordfish with a dark cherry port reduction sauce. The fish combination doesn't sound like it would work but wow! Our meal ended with cannolis which were good but the earlier courses were our favorite. The Maitre D' also suggested a fine and reasonably priced Super Tuscan. We wish them continued success and survival in a very difficult time for restaurants. Il Pizzico remains a gem.More

We wanted to find a restaurant close to the F Scott Fitzgerald theater because we were celebrating a family birthday. I called to try to make a reservation for the six of us but the owner would not take a reservation even though it was...a special occasion. We arrived early as he suggested but two members of our party were running late because they are busy doctors and couldn’t get out of the hospital to join us on time. They would not hold a table of six for us so we agreed to sit at a table for four until the rest of our party arrived since we were concerned that we might be late for the show. When the additional two did arrive they would not allow us to put more chairs at our table. Mind you there was an empty table of six next to us the whole time. The owner even used the F word at my husband when he tried to move a chair to our table. There are plenty of good Italian restaurant in Rockville that take reservations and don’t have such a nasty manager. I haven’t come here in years because of their ridiculous seating policy and you can rest assured I will never come back again. I hope you don’t either. The food is just not worth the hassle.More

My wife and I have enjoyed dinner at Il Pizzico on several occasions. We always enjoy a delicious meal at a reasonable price - great to have at a nearby Rockville neighborhood restaurant.

The food here is really good and we had a good waiter, too. It's a busy place, and he was mixing drinks for his orders as well as waiting tables and yet we still had good service. The short ribs in polenta was yummy! Everyone...liked what they had and all the food came out as ordered. Sadly, they don't take reservations so dining during the week is much easier than on weekends..More

Food and service were very good. The manager was officious and insulting and spoiled what, otherwise, would have been a good meal.

I have been going to restaurant for many years (about 20 yrs) and I can’t say enough about the food and the service. I grew up in a NY Italian neighborhood and this place rivals any place I have been to and represents a great...neighborhood dining experience. Every meal I have had here with family and business partners have been excellent and the owners and staff gave always a been friendly. The pasta is always fresh. We usually go for the specials but everything I have ever had has been excellent. It is in a strip mall and if you didn’t know about it you would pass it by. Don’t pass it by.More

New to the area and found Il Pizzico via co-workers. Don’t let the exterior and parking situation dissuade you. This is the real deal! The service is first rate, the atmosphere is busy but cozy. Family owned and run. Food is authentic and delicious. Did...I say delicious? I meant ridiculously good! Comfort food with a punch. Great Chianti selections and ridiculously good desserts. Certainly on the rotation from here on!More
