Playing in a soccer tournament at nearby Polo Grounds. Went here for lunch and was not disappointed. Had the burrito platter and loved it. My daughter had a quesadilla and it too was good.

ok A) the margaritas = delicioius, and the Flautas omgsh so delicious and perfectly cooked. and don't forget the chips & salsa!!!!!

Went to the Mexican Grill for lunch the other Saturday. The food was find - though no queso dip that day which I thought was a bit weird. Another negative is that they only give you one small serving of chips and salsa and then...you have to pay for any additional chips and salsa - really chips and dips are so expensive that you have to charge for them??? My husband and I had the crispy combo and the enchiladas ranchers. Both were good. The service, however, left a lot to be desired. We had to beg for additional ice tea as well as salsa (I put it on everything). If the place had been busy, we get it, but it wasn't. Will we be back? Not sure, given the other choices available in Poolesville.More

In Poolesvill this is one of two sit down dinner experiences. It's Mexican done extremely well. I hope it stays in town.

A great Mexican restaurant in Poolesville. Great service. Has a bar but is still very family friendly. Excellent Mexican food.

The food is pretty good and the staff is friendly but the wait is sometimes quite long and more often than I'd like the food comes out wrong. Don't get me wrong, they'll fix it, but the wait then is even longer.

The reason that there’s such disparity in the reviews is the change in ownership late 2014, and there’s a very big difference between the old and new owners. I lived in Poolesville for several years. The Mexican Grill under the previous owners was indeed less...than mediocre. About a year ago the restaurant changed hands, with a new crew in the Kitchen. I spent time in Mexico city, and I find that the kitchen now creates authentic Mexican food, very much like the stuff I enjoyed in Mexico city. So this is not Chipotle, or Uncle Julio or any of these chains offering what passes for Mexican food in American suburbia. The food is fresh, made to order, and consistently good. The service is very friendly, if somewhat unpolished. These guys are a great addition to the limited food scene in Poolesville, and I wish them the best of luck, and I urge fellow Poolesvilleans as well as visitors to our fair little burg to give them a second chance. You will not be disappointed.More

Serendipity led our group to this small but very clean restaurant. The chips, rthe salsa all freshly made on site and very good. They can be bought to take home. The meals were all of extremely high quality and very delicious and very reasonably priced....All of the plates were prepared when ordered and the result was a wonderful experience. The server was very helpful and efficient. No alcohol license yet so no cerveza or margaritas hehe. We will return.More

I have eaten here only twice, it is very unclear at times if the restaurant is open or closed. We had take out once and dined in once. The dine in experience was not very pleasant. The kitchen equipment was not venting properly and the...entire place filled with smoke. The server was also the cashier and was not used to having dine in customers. We have not returned.More

The man who served us really had no idea what he was doing. It took him forever to put a table together for 6 people and served all of the people who came in after us, first. He forgot all of our drinks and we...had to go remind him. Also, the chips were slightly stale. We left after only being given two of the six drinks.More
