nothing to write home about oddly we were not greeted with joy kindly put us in A poor spot food ok staff not very friendly

If I could rate it a 3.5 star I would. Service was great. The place was clean and I liked the set up. You just order and pay first and then it's self-seating. I got the teriyaki chicken and shrimp combo with white rice and steamed vegetables. It was good and the ingredients were fresh. The rice was cooked right. The reason I would give them a 3.5 star is the flavor of the teriyaki. It was a little too sweet for my taste.

This restaurant does not have people to serve you at your table i.e waiters or waitresses. You order your food at the counter and then when your number is called you pick it up and serve yourself. They do not serve wine or beer. The place tries to be a fast food restaurant, but they fail at this because there is only one person making sushi, and everything is made to order. The sushi is very fresh, but everything tastes the same. We were expecting a classic Japanese sushi restaurant, and were disappointed with this place. I had an Alaska Roll, which was made with chopped shrimp rather that smoked or fresh salmon. I also had a Philadelphia Roll which was mostly avocado. Additionally, I had a King Crab Sushi Burrito. My wife had a Shrimp Tempura Roll and a Sweet Potato Roll. Much to our dismay, in the next to the last piece of her Shrimp Tempura Roll she bit down on a sharp piece of plastic about 1/4" X 1/2" long, Fortunately, she wasn't injured by it. I presented the piece of plastic to the person who made the shrimp roll, and he offered to make her another roll. We declined his offer, finished our meal and left the restaurant.
The sushi rolls are fresh, but the quality of the seafood used is poor. Rather than use fresh or some salmon in an Alaska Roll, they cut corners and expense by using chopped shrimp. My King Crab Sushi Burrito used chopped or ground crab rather than chunks of king crab. This coupled with the lack of a "wait staff" and the presence of foreign objects in one of the rolls, will keep both of us from ever eating here again.
