Food was very good ans seasoned well! Ribs were truly smoked. Beer mac and cheese was good could have used some more cheese though. Jambalaya was very good. Not a fancy restaurant, more like a carry out with an optional small seating section. Thankfully they...deliver. 😁More

The barbecue is excellent! Hands down delicious...as are the sauces! The Cajun food is ok. Nothing outstanding....edible and ok but I won’t get it again. The kids working the cash register also didn’t know the products. We specifically asked if there were onions in the...dishes we ordered and were told absolutely not. Ohhh. That should have been absolutely there are onions. That said...that barbecue is delicious!!!More

Finally tried this spicy New Orleans style restaurant with carry out and found the prices and portions to be good, but the food not quite as tasty as I expected. Need to try it again to see how it compares to this experience.

Stopped by just be noon on a Saturday for carryout. Two other customers waiting for their food. Two people working, one was taking orders and filling orders so had to wait a bit to order. Ordered a muffaletta, brisket platter, burnt ends sandwich, and pulled...pork sandwich. The muffaletta would have been great if it were wrapped to keep the sandwich from falling apart on the way home. Instead it was placed in a carry out container so it separated and all that was left on the roll was the meat and tomato. The burnt ends had been steaming for a while so they lost the chewiness you associate with them. The brisket portion was a good size and was tasty as were the greens and mac n cheese. The pulled pork was good with the addition of sauce. The place needs some tidying up and with the help of a dedicated order taker they would do much better. Would like to revisit when it's cooler and try some of the NoLa dishes.More

I stopped into this place spontaneously - something I rarely do. The place isn't clean, but I ordered beef brisket, and red beans/rice. A gruff, bearded man took my order. When my food was ready, the same gruff man asked what kind of BBQ sauce...I wanted. He described four different kinds. I asked to try three (with my $15 meal) and he glared at me. 'You get ONE,' he said. So I got one tiny, half-filled, plastic to-go container of BBQ sauce. (The sauces are in HUGE bottles on the tables for eat-in customers.) I randomly guessed which one I might like, and took my ONE sauce to go. Then I left to eat my food. The red beans and rice were awful - covered in celery and onions and just ... yuk. I threw it away. The brisket was a bit fatty but otherwise fine. Too bad the guy behind the counter couldn't spare a little more BBQ sauce for a first-timer. I won't ever go back.More

I had driven by this restaurant numerous times and since I was with my horse buddy in Potomac and we needed to get a bite to eat, we figured we would try it out. We were met with smiling faces in a simple and very...clean little restaurant. We ordered shrimp caesar salads and they came heaping with large shrimp, which they followed up with wonderful warm bread. I have had many caesar salads over the years and many don't come close but this was spot on and very very good! Will be returning as often as I can! Betsy :)More

I wanted to like this place. After all, it's not easy to find Cajun/Creole food out here. But the search must go on. To start with the best thing: I liked the Bourbon Poboy. Good flavor. But the chicken poboy, with its big unseasoned chunks...of chicken, had little taste. We also got the Andouille Creole dish. This was spicy in the heat sense, but, again, little in the way of flavor. You can get better Andouille sausage in the meat section of Giant. We also got an order of red beans and rice, which apparently used the same disappointing sauce as in the Creole dish, and was not as good as what you can get from Popeyes. The last item to mention were the potato chips that came with the poboys. Good, but I thought restaurants in Montgomery Co. had given up offering partially hydrogenated (transfat) chips years ago. Oh, well.More

We thought the food was excellent. We picked up Jambalaya, Etoufee, and Cajun Linguine, along with an order of made-from-scratch Beignets. Everything was cooked by the chef & owner, who has been in the restaurant industry (specifically New Orleans cuisine) for more than 25 years....We chatted with him for a bit after picking up the food and enjoyed talking to him. Having a New Orleans themed restaurant in Darnestown is a nice addition to the usual pizza & sandwich places. We’ll definitely be going back! They are planning on expanding to allow for sit-down meals because currently is it just carry-out.More

I was very disappointed in this place. Very expensive and not that good. I ordered a shrimp poboy, $12.67 with tax, and that's for carry out. The shrimp were frozen and over battered. There weren't that many, and not meaty at all. 1 slice of...lettuce, 1 slice tomato per half. I put the shrimp from both sides to fill it up. The sauce was good.More
