Tasty BBQ

Stopped for lunch while in this area. We ordered two 2-meat samplers with the two-item side dish. The first was 1/3 # sausage and 1/4 # moist brisket with baked beans and a large drink. Our second entrée was 1/4 # pulled pork and 1/4 # lean brisket with Cole slaw and a drink. Each platter came with a large piece of cornbread. All of the meats sampled were very tender and quite delicious. There are a variety of BBQ sauces available at each table. The platters are served on paper sheets in a tray and lots of brown paper rolls are to be used as napkins. At noontime, the National anthem is played and sung while everyone stands and faces the American flag or watches a TV...very patriotic and meaningful! This is basically a self-serve dining experience.

Very good bbq

If you enjoy southern-style bbq, you'll like Mission BBQ. The menu is very traditional. They offer beef, pork, chicken, ribs, and salmon. When we were there, they had a special of meat loaf. We all had different dishes and we all enjoyed our meals. Mission BBQ has all the standard sides available, too: cole slaw, green beans, baked beans, corn bread, collards, and other favorites. They have different kinds of sauces on the table. The service was friendly, and the price was reasonable. I'm sure we'll be back.

Nice Lunch

It had been a few years since our last visit to Mission but after a fantastic pulled chicken sandwich yesterday, we find ourselves back at Mission, though a different one, 2 days in a row. Like yesterday, the front end help was wonderful. My pulled pork sandwich was very good, but a touch dry. The great selection of 7 sauces took care of that with a nice NC vinegar based one and a great BBQ/Old Bay sauce. My wife liked her large salad with ranch that was only $5.99 and pulled chicken on top. The salad was ice cold and topped full of vegetables. The cherry cheesecake was very good as was the cornbread with a soft slightly sweet taste.

Surprisingly good

I was dubious of any chain BBQ - but was very pleased with the catered lunch we arranged for a delegation of 10+ lunch. Service and ordering was easy, delivery was on time, and the food was very good. High compliments for the sliced brisket and pulled pork. Will repeat.

Too Expensive

Food is good, but I've had better ribs elsewhere for the price that is charged. Once in a while, we may do take-out. I refuse to pay this price to eat inside at a picnic table with people I don't know, and to use Plastic Silverware.

Dinnertime at Mission BBQ Columbia

My teenage kids and I ate dinner here after being at the 2023 Military Bowl game in nearby Annapolis. This is the fourth Mission BBQ location that we have eaten at, and as always, a very positive experience with the quality of the food and the service. We love their brisket, turkey, and pulled pork sandwiches. Their sides - fresh cut fries, mac and cheese, cold slaw, etc. are always delicious.

Lean Brisket

Trying their lean brisket sandwich, I found that maybe there is such a thing as too lean when having it on a sandwich. It was good but I found myself using a lot of their different BBQ sauces, since it seemed a touch dry. They have a less lean version that I think I will try the next time. Like all Mission's their service and atmosphere is 2nd to none. Sweet tea was great, and they had a nice gentleman roaming the floor offering additional services to anyone that might need some.

If BBQ is your mission- it’s not a mission impossible. We’ve eaten in three different Mission BBQ’s and they are all fantastic food, attentive staff and great parking. If you want BBQ- go to Missions.

Good food, and great service! Has lunch there with my sons. The turkey and chicken sandwiches were delicious. Al the dining room manager was awesome we had a good conversation with him and he told us all about Mission BBQ! He’s definitely a great example of outstanding customer service.

Really good experience -- Restaurant Focuses on Service which is awesome

Again the service experience is top notch -- I recently visited Famous Dave's which I would think is a direct competitor to this restaurant and the service here was night and day compared to them. Food was on par -- Slightly disappointed in the Mac and Cheese and Baked Beans but Fries and Pulled Chicken Sandwich were delicious. The manager offered to give me several different BBQ's to try since it was my first visit and I thought that was an excellent value improvement over FD's as well. Sorry I forgot to take a picture on this visit -- I was starving when I got home so I dived right in lol

Objectively good food BBQ, great by chain place standards, at decent prices with good service. Asking everyone in the restaurant to stand and salute the flag while the national anthem plays at noon is a hard pass from me, though, I will take my pulled pork without the cult-like behavior, please and thank you.

Nice to see that patios are opening up and be able to sit down and enjoy a small lunch, Staff are very friendly and professional polite just took the kids menu of a pork slider and coleslaw and a drink wasn’t that hungry for a large lunch was perfect size. Used smoky bbq dipping sauce throughly enjoyed.

Awesome BBQ all the time. I have been going to this mission BBQ since they opened. The smashed potatoes and turkey are a must go to for me. Only problem with eating here for lunch is work after is rough because.of how full you will be!!!

Amazing!!!!

My family enjoyed some of the best BBQ ever at this restaurant. The pulled pork, turkey and brisket were outstanding. We hadn’t been here before, so the service staff took us through how ordering worked. Overall, we had a delicious meal with fantastic service! Would definitely eat here again and highly recommend others try it as well.
