I’m not very familiar with Middle Eastern cuisine, but I definitely know great food when I taste it! Based on a very favorable review in our local newspaper written by someone who grew up in that culture, we decided to give Potomac Street Grill a try. So glad we did! There’s ample (metered) parking across the street from the restaurant. Don’t be put off by the “local color” facade of this restaurant/bar and grill. The interior’s ambience does not shout out romantic fine dining, but we were warmly greeted by Abed, the owner, and were excited for a culinary adventure. We were not disappointed. The menu includes American favorites like burgers, subs, seafood, and a full bar, but we were there for the Middle Eastern specialities. We chose the vegetarian mezze. It was an appetizer for five. It included 5 delicious treats, a variety of sauces, and warm, perfectly grilled pita wedges. My favorites were the unctuous Mujaddara and the smoky Baba Ghannouj. Abed then tempted us with a taste of his two soups of the day: Middle Eastern bean, and M.E. lentil. Both were amazing, but we chose the bean soup. Next came our chicken kabob entree. It was divided for us and beautifully served with salad and herbed rice. The chicken was a bit dry, but expertly seasoned and accompanied with cucumber sauce on the side. At this point we were sated, but I couldn’t resist the walnut baklava. It was served with whipped cream, and to our surprise, a square of chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream! Thank you, Abed! Needless to say, we went home full, happy, styrofoam boxes in hand, and promises to return soon. Gotta try the swarma next! Thank you Abed, and chef Edwardo!

We stayed in Harpers Ferry and came a little out of the way to Brunswick, Maryland to Potomac Street Grill. So glad we did!! The food and service at this place are amazing. I had the fish tacos, my wife had coconut shrimp — an appetizer — as her meal (the best she has ever had she said). Lori our waitress was very helpful and attentive to all our needs.

I wish there was a rating between "average" and "very good." This, to put it mildly, is not a fancy place. It's a bar/restaurant with locals coming in for a drink/meal. My wife and I had lunch there on a Tuesday, with a just a few people there. The waiter/bartender/cook took good care of us - being sure to give my wife a chilled glass for her beer. She had a cheeseburger, I had a "julbok" (? spelling), billed as spiced ground beef Armenian-style on a bun. Both were fine - the french fries excellent. This isn't a "destination" place, but, if you're in the area, worth a visit.

Showed up in person to order takeout around 5:30 pm while out biking on the C&O from Point of Rocks. Was told order would be ready in 30 minutes (2 lamb shwarmas, 1 spanakopita, and 1 cheesesteak) so went to hang out at a nearby park. Came back and was told another 10 minutes was needed. Went back to park and returned 10 minutes later. Saw an order ready to go and was pleased, but it turns out they accidentally packed for takeout the meal of people who were actually dining in the restaurant (totally different items). Waited another 10 minutes with no update or feedback from staff despite sitting in the front of the restaurant. Checked with one of the servers and she went back to the kitchen. She returned to tell me it would be another 10 minutes. At that point, I did not believe any time estimate so got a refund and left as we had to get going to get back to Point of Rocks before sunset. The servers claimed they were way too busy and that was the issue. However, I noted that people who came in AFTER me and were seated outside got their meals and finished them in the time I was waiting. So, I don't think that was the whole story. Plus, if they were so busy, why not be up front with me about that rather than wasting an hour of my family's time? That is some pretty poor customer service. FYI, there were two servers and they were responsible for handling the outdoor tables (about 5-6 parties), three people at the bar, and a couple of small indoor dining groups. The funny thing is that the longer I sat and waited inside for my order, the more I realized I probably shouldn't eat there. I saw the very poor hygenic practices being followed by one of the servers (constantly touching/adjusting her mask or opening/closing the front door to go outside) while then moving on to handling drinks/food of various patrons repeatedly with no washing of hands nor use of hand sanitizer in between. There were other questionable activities I saw but this review is already long enough. The bottom line is that this restaurant is unable to do the one thing it is supposed to do (serve food) and is obviously not managed well based on what I observed today. As such, I highly recommend you skip it and patronize one of the other dining establishments in town. We came here to give a new place a try instead of the old standbys. That was a big mistake. Instead, we'll stick to Beans in the Belfry and Box Car Burger when we ride to Brunswick, and highly recommend you do as well.

Discovered the Potomac Street Grill when it was positively reviewed in the local newspaper. So glad we visited! We sampled spanakopita, falafel, and the chicken kebab platter, and all were delicious. The menu is so enticing that we can't wait to go back to try more dishes. Great meal!

We dined here today after a hike on the C&O Canal. We sat outdoors on the nice socially distanced patio - and enjoyed friendly, attentive service. The menu was extensive - something for everyone! We had an amazing vegetarian mezze platter with stuffed grape leaves, falafel, the BEST hummus and other delights. There were so many other dishes we wanted to try - plus quite a few daily specials. The other diners on the patio seemed very happy as well. All the food was fresh and delicious! We'll be back!

We had a wonderful surprise lasr week, after biking the C and O trail when we happened upon the Potomac Grill with outdoor seating. Despite travels throughout the Mediterranean, I have never tasted a lentil and wheat salad as good as what I ate sitting on the sidewalk in Brunswick, MD. I tasted seasonings unlike anything I have tasted before. What serendipity to find the Potomac Grill because we needed a bike part at the nearby cycle shop. The eclectic menu with tacos and humus drew us in. We ate excellent food when we were sure nothing could coax us to eat at a restaurant in the current conditions. We felt safe and well rewarded with the delicious food. If we were staying longer we would have explored the whole menu!

A hidden gem! We got a variety of food ad everything was really good. This place was a nice surprise for us when headed out of Harpers Ferry area. There isn’t much to this lil town, Brunswick, but this grill is a great place to stop. Paid parking across the street so much easier to park than in HF. The curry was amazing, the shawarma was really well seasoned, and they had a fantastic cappuccino. While it doesn’t look like much from the outside, and is very bar like inside, the service was amazing and the food was great.

Food was really good. The chicken pesto quesadillas were delicious, requested side of cucumber yogurt sauce. So yummy! Husband had the flavored beef sandwich, which he says was good but fries needed bit more seasoning. Staff were friendly and attentive. It was a crazy hot day, otherwise would have tried their speciality drinks. They have a full bar too. Overall great experience.

WOW! WOW! WOW! What an absolute gem. Everything from the Fried pickles to the Chicken kabob was absolutely outstanding. I have never had such a delicious kabob. Our son had the steak and cheese and barely took a breath while devouring. The owner is so incredibly kind and it is apparent that every customer matters - the owners are serving the customers. Talk about feeling like you've been invited into their home for dinner. Do your tastebuds a favor and give this one of a kind establishment a try. I seriously considered taking the Syrian Kafta to go. You will not regret it. This is a restaurant that deserves support from people far and wide.

Visited with 3 generations of family, 6 adults and 3 kids. The owner (I presume) was the main server, and very gracious. He (the owner) was extremely gracious with the kids (ages 2-8), and with the adults. Food was excellent, and well-paced between various appetizers and mains. The menu is extensive, and included many veggie options. Plus carnivorous options. Kids were happy, parents were happy, and grandparents were happy. Good (street) parking is available, there is some outdoor seating but the AC was nice in July. This is a sweet location in a sweet town.

While nothing much to look at inside, the owner was super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! Chicken kabob platter was plentiful and very tasty. The Cuban sandwich was big and very good. Quick service. Would definitely eat there again if in the area.

Very slow (clearly understaffed), we waited over an hour for our lunch to be served. Hair in my meal, otherwise food was reasonable. Unexpected up-charge on a couple of items. Not especially nice decor and ambiance. What a shame!
