Found by recommendation by our campground host. If anything, he underrated it! It's the classic lobster shack. Right on the water, lobsters are boiled in sea water drawn from the bay the shack is on. Lobsters are fresh caught, so they're fresh and tasty. Wonderful...More

really have a huge lobster boil going on here, wood fired. lots of folks taking pictures of the boilers and the guys manning the pots. you pick your own lobster with help, a la carte the rest of the menu, very efficient, once you understand.

The steam rising out of the pots as we drove by made us turn around. It just had a feel if real family folks cooking really good food. It was the best lobster of our trip here thus far.

We shared a large lobster , soup and clams, we had the meal and had potatoes and corn , they do charge a lot of extras. They are good about keeping eating area clean it is screened in and keeping trash cleaned up so flies... More

Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound® is located on Route 3 at 1237 Bar Harbor Road in Trenton, Maine, just before the bridge onto Thompson's and Mount Desert Island. It is hard to miss with the row of wood-fired cookers out front smoking away and the big sign on the roof that says, "LOBSTERS". At the present time, the seasonal eatery features boiled lobsters and steamed clams, clam chowder and lobster stew, lobster and crabmeat cocktails, lobster and crabmeat sandwiches, rolls and melted butter, with sides of potato salad.
