We ate here and the food was amazing. Simple, fresh, and very tasty. Well worth the trip to this area, to sample their food and drink. I would for sure come back again. The service and hospitality were top notch!

Serendipity. Taking a detour from our usual lunch venue upriver from New Orleans, and taking a clue from the River Plantation brochure, our party of four stopped at Nobile's for a quick lunch on a crowded plantation tour day. Almost missed it, the unpainted building...with very very faded sign did not seem to be an ideal place for lunch. Hostess assured us we could be in and out in little more than half an hour, so we took a seat and perused the menu. Two chose the gumbos, one seafood, one Chicken and Andouille, both outstanding. One chose the daily special (Chicken Parmesan, creole Green beans and dessert). He pronounced the Parmesan the best he had ever eaten in his life, and the green beams also came in for rave reviews. Our fourth was a bit shy and chose the baked potato, no complaints. She also ordered the side of limas with shrimp, wow with sides like this who needs entrees. The BaBa cake, mentioned in the brochure, was a treat, lots of coconut and custard, but the star of the show was the dessert included in the daily special. An almond bread pudding that the best restaurants in New Orleans would not match, just plain yummy. Reluctantly we had to scurry along to our next plantation tour, out the door just 40 minutes after entering. Nobel's is a modest place but exactly the kind of hidden gem one hopes to find when trying new things. We will be back, next time with a lot more time to savor the experience.More
We stopped by for based on TA reviews for a take-out whilst visiting the plantations. So pleased we did , the service was so friendly and accommodating and the food came within 15 mins. The Po - boys were absolutely delicious and the crab cakes...the best we’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend and would go back ourselves if we were ever passing again .More
If you are looking for fresh seafood cooked to order this is the place. If you are looking for good tasting homestyle cooking like butterbeans and shrimp or peas with a roux.. good old fashion hamburger steak you will find it here. The desserts are...fantastic too.More
Compared with restaurants in the NO and Northshore area, this was just average. I ordered the hamburger steak and potatoes. The hamburger and gravy were very salty. Potatoes were fine. Service was excellent, and we had a very large group.
Upon pulling up to Nobile's Restaurant, my sister and I hesitated about going in for lunch, we weren't even sure we were at the right place due to the lack of signage. While parked across the street alongside the railroad tracks we took a look...at the building where the restaurant is, it looked quite abandoned and neglected. After reading the positive reviews about the restaurant, we abandoned our trepidation and made our way inside and we are so glad we did! Frequented by locals, movie crews and tourists there was plenty to choose from on the menu. I had the BEST Portobello sandwich I've ever had along with the most delicious homemade seasoned onion rings. My sister also raved about the gumbo she ordered. Looks can be deceiving on the outside of the building, but inside its pure Southern charm and hospitality! I will definitely be coming back for lunch next time in the area, then again even if I have to drive out of my way to have lunch at Nobile's I will. Don't miss out!More
A friend and I had an enjoyable lunch at Nobile's. I ordered a fried shrimp po-boy. It was clear that the shrimp were fresh and cooked when I ordered. The shrimp wasn't just being kept warm. My friend had the stuffed crab and smothered potatoes,...and she said both were delicious. I am looking forward to stopping there again.More
My wife & I had dinner at Nobile’s Friday evening. The food was as delicious as we remembered it to be. My wife had a cup of Gumbo and the fried 🍤, and Lima beans and Shrimp. I had the Seafood Platter with salad and...Fries. The meal was delicious, hot and home made. The service was very punctual and friendly. A definite 5* meal at a very reasonable price. Definitely worth the trip to Lutcher. 👍More
Along the River Road midway between several plantations, Nobile's is a delight. The people eating here are almost all locals and have probably been coming for lunch since right after the Civil War. The staff were warm and welcoming. I had a bowl of the...seafood gumbo and it was just fine. Enjoy this spot for its authenticity.More
After an outing to the Whitney Plantation in Edgard, LA, we drove a very short distance to Lutcher, LA to eat at Nobile's. DO NOT let the outside fool you. OMG! The food was delicious and the service was timely, courteous and homey. The menu...was loaded with a variety of meal options for ANY personal taste. Reasonable prices. Locally owned.🌟🌟🌟🌟🙄 Didn't bother to take a picture of my 1/2 shrimp/oyster platter or my walnut-spinach salad with raspberry vingerette. Was too busy eating it.😄More
