Would Definitely Go Back

After giving up on waiting at a very popular seafood restaurant in the area, I decided to drive back to my hotel, hoping to find something decent for supper. The El Paso was easy to find and I decided to give it a try. Although not busy when I arrived, I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. Turns out the food was excellent and the service from Cristhian was very good. After mulling the many choices, I settled on the shrimp Chimichanga and throughly enjoyed it.

Very good food and service. Nice and friendly staff. We would eat here again if in the area. We were staying at the Destrehan Plantation; this was close by for dinner.

Great place and we had a great time!

As I've mentioned before I'm always on the lookout for good Mexican. This was close my son's hotel and he recommended it and it's not far off the interstate as I was I New Orleans. So we picked him up and went here for dinner and to celebrate his newest team The first test of the complimentary nachos and salsa were excellent, especially the salsas. We ate lots before we got around to ordering as we had lots to review/talk about before ordering and they were very patient and did not rush us at all. In fact they made sure we were topped up the whole time. When we got around to ordering their menu is good and we all had different dishes. I had the Enchiladas Supreme and everything was excellent. Everyone was very satisfied with their dinner. Our server Cristian was great too and the food reasonably priced. It was a great pick overall and I recommend it.

One Of the Best Mexican Restaurants Geismar, Louisiana

One Of the Best Mexican Restaurants I been waiting for this new place to open up so I could try it based on reviews. I’m glad I did. The complimentary chips, salsa and bean dip are really good. For my review I’m going to talk about the smoked brisket soft taco platter which came with a bean soup and rice. This is a dish not to be missed. The brisket is delicious; it has a touch of BBQ sauce on it and each taco has an avocado slice along with cilantro, cheese, lettuce, onion and tomatoes. The side of rice and soup were both good. I also ordered, for desert, the flan which was exceptional delicious and hard to find a good one like this. It had a bananas foster topping on it. This is a place I’d visit again.

Horrible!

So we stopped here for dinner as we were driving I10. We ordered jalapeño poppers as an appetizer . The girl brought them out and they were cold inside. She took them in and microwaved wave them. They came back a mushy mess. We just gave up and sent them back. When we asked if they were just microwaved the girl shrugged and said yeah. She kept saying sorry.... but not sorry to take them off our check. The rest of the meal was just ok. Not worth coming here again.

Great choice if you looking for Mexican restaurant in Gonzales. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The service was excellent from a very attentive staff. Highly recommended.

Very tasty but expensive

Have visited a few times in recent months....the food is GREAT. Prices-not so much. I find that other mexican restaurants give a choice of which sauce you want over your food and the dishes usually come with rice and beans as a side. Here expect to pay for these extras that others throw into the meal. I order enchiladas every time- $13 you get just 4 enchiladas with barely just enough sauce to where they will not be dry. The others I frequent from Baton Rouge to Gonzales runs the same price but you get the sides and different sauce at no extra charge.

Service friendly, food -the Best!

Decent food decent price

I went on a Sunday and my server was new. He tried very hard but really did not get our orders correct and didn’t get the silverware situated until after our meals were out. The food was delicious, the complimentary bean dip with the chips and salsa was very good, and their guacamole was on point.

A little pricy!

So so Mexican food.

This is probably a biased review since I live in Houston and am accustomed to great Mexican food restaurants on every street corner. My husband and I visited El Paso on a Saturday night and sat at the bar area. Our servers were very attentive. We ordered beef fajita nachos and drinks. My "skinny" margarita was very good. The complimentary chips and red salsa were also good. The other dip, that I believe was their bean dip, was excellent. It was served warm and just the right amount of kick to it. The beef on the nachos was chewy and really disappointed me. Don't think that I will be back. Sorry, El Paso.

Better-than-expected

The food is always fresh and the Margaritas are awesome. This is our go-to place for the guys at the shop. The servers have gotten to know us by name. I usually get fajitas, it's more than I can eat. Along with the chips and salsa, they give you some tasty black bean dip.

Tasty Mexican food with excellent service!

I have driven by this place forever and for some reason I have never stopped. Maybe I was trying to to Baton Rouge or back to New Orleans, but it was never a priority to sit down and eat somewhere in between. Boy was I missing out. This is a pretty good sized mexican restaurant headed east of the highway. Traffic getting into and out of the place was pretty steady, so just punch it a go. I wish I could brag about place more, but it was standard decor for a mexican place. Bright colors, mexican music, and they had several TV's around. I was seated quickly. The server was on the ball with everything. The food was the real winner. Warm Chips. Free salsa and bean dip. I tend to try an assortment with new place to see what I like the best. I had a taco, chalupa, enchalada, burrito, rice, and it was all top notch. Too much food to, because I needed an extra notch on my belt after that meal. It was on lunch special too, so my bill including drink was around $11-12. Hit them up if you are craving some good mexican fare! Good luck and Happy Travels!
