Fun tex-mex restaurant that has some different and fun things on the menu - they still have the usual fare, but think of it more/differently flavorful! Service was spot on, and the food came out hot/fresh. This place is usually busy, so plan on a wait at peak times. It's not really handicap accessible, and it IS loud, but don't let that deter you from going. Go and enjoy!

Let’s keep it short and simple. We sat at the bar and the Syracuse, NY bartender was excellent and super friendly.
The chips and the drunken black bean queso dip was just too good. Deciding what to eat on the menu was the hardest part. Just reading the food descriptions were mouth watering trying to decide what to get.
We went with two tacos each. Los Cabos and the cluckin’ mango for me. My wife had the pollo rojo and the coco cabana. Super excellent. Fresh ingredients, home made corn tortilla for my taco and the flavors were outstanding.
We will definitely be back.

Had dinner here on a Saturday night. Just walked in, parking was a bit challenging but followed signage and found parking near the Lions Park. Sat outside. Salty cowboy margarita was tasty. I could taste the liquor. Loves the salsa and guac, we askes for a amaller portion of the guac and they accommodated us. Husband had the taco salad and he said it was the best taco salad he’d had. The ratio of greens to meat was spot on. I had the chicken empanadas which were. 4 large empanadas. They had lukewarm a plum asian style drizzle on them which I wasn’t sure I liked and came with a queso dipping sauce that I didn’t care for. I think an avocado crema with a jalapeno ranch would work better with the dish. All in all though we would go back next time we are in the area.

After waiting for 40 minutes for a table than 40 minutes to wait to order dinner from table waitress could not handle the few tables she had. Tacos are small street size so don’t order just one. Many orders around us were getting wrong as for our own. If going to drink and just get a small thing to eat is only way I would recommend. Though for a family meal it is a joke. $120 for 4 of us with no alcohol drink it’s outrageous with two of us leaving still hungry is sad.

After hearing how wonderful this place was I put this on my list of places to go. Our visit was less than great. On the inside it is more or less a dive. Doesn’t have the appearance of clean. Our waitress wasn’t very friendly and didn’t seem to be paying close attention as she missed our questions.
The margaritas on $5.00 special must be money makers as they had no more than a splash of tequila. I had two and didn’t feel anything , I barely tasted tequila. It was like one of those cheap pre-made grocery store mixes. The street tacos were tiny. They should sell them in groups of 3 instead of individually. My short rib burrito came out cold and the meat was dry like leather. Not good for a $14 burrito.
I normally give places a second try before I make up my mind. In this case I see little reason to return.

I really loved this place. Excellent atmosphere, friendly staff, and food is YUMMY! Guacamole is made at the table. Nachos are great. To me the best thing(s) on the menu is/are TACOS. delicious stuff! Old Fashioned is made well.
this was my first visit, and definitely NOT the last! THANKS!
P. S. Too bad they do not take reservations (wink wink)

I would have gave it five stars if it would have been so long to get a table. Arrived at 4:30 and waited approximately 1:10 minutes for a seat. The food was great for kids and the tacos were amazing. I would come back just as long as I didn't have to wait that long.

This is a fantastic restaurant. The margaritas are delicious and addicting. The food was fresh and perfectly done. The staff are friendly and make sure you’re taken care off. Living out of state is a shame because I wont get to go here all the time but we are definitely planning a trip to the area. This place is number one on the list to visit.

A must go to restaurant in the cute cobblestone city of Zionsville!! Their food was incredible and the owner, Justin went out of his way for us! Visiting from Minnesota, we can’t wait to come back again one day! Thank you!

Enjoyed great (large) plate of nachos and super special margaritas outdoors while the sun set. What could be better? Also, very friendly waiters! Can't wait to go back!

I am slacking on my reviews. My family has gone here 5 times now. Never disappoints. Tacos, dirty nachos are out of this world!! It gets busy so go early.

Great food. Great drinks. Fun atmosphere. We alway enjoy going to the Salty Cowboy. The nachos are a favorite. Bartenders are super friendly and wait staff always quick.

This is my favorite restaurant in town. My go to is the classico nachos and a pomegranate margarita. Their tacos are awesome as well. Honestly the only downside is that it is always crowded and busy. That is the result of the phenomenal food.
Note the nachos I mentioned are huge and should be shared.
