Varied menu (pasta dishes as well as beef, pork, fish, salads). Enjoyed homemade pasta and through it was quite good. Bolognese sauce was flavorful. Not exceptional. Restaurant itself was bustling, and actually quite loud. Ambiance generic but comfortable. The restaurant itself was dark. And so...much so, we used our phone lights to see the menu (despite trying to refrain from doing so).More

Dinner was incredibly disappoint. We had the tutto mare pasta....it was incredibly salty and just did not have much flavor...pasta left rooms and rooms for improvement

The atmosphere is rustic yet comfortable. There are many 6 top tables that accommodate larger groups. The menu has many options and emphasize the scratch made pasta. Although I would call the food good and pleasantly presented, I would not, however, call it memorable. The...flavors were just a bit short.More

Excellent food, great selection of cocktails and wine, friendly service! We had a lovely evening dining at Convivio. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was perfect for a date night. The pasta dishes were fresh and flavorful and my husband’s pork chop was one of...the tenderest we’ve ever tried. The tiramisu was also worth saving room for dessert!More

My sister and I ordered the fig and olive pasta and the pizza with the roasted eggplant and split them. Both were delicious, but that pasta was outstanding. The sweetness of the figs combined with the salty tang of the olives made for a surprisingly...good flavor, with just the right amount of sauce. Add a glass of good Barbera, and you can't go wrong!More

So, you know how when you go to a place and you absolutely love it and then you go to their other outlet and it’s super disappointing? That is 100% not the case here. We took a party of six there for a friends birthday...and everything was absolutely fantastic from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. Their menu has a seasonal section where they highlight a different region of Italy. I always try to get this it wasn’t disappointing this time. Their wine list is super cool and laid out by region with a map as opposed to just a bunch of words on a piece of paper. I’ve always said that amazing food cannot overcome mediocre service but amazing service can overcome mediocre food. The good news here is that you get both amazing food and amazing service. You’re cheating yourself if you don’t request Anthony, who also goes by Tony, and sometimes rigatoni. Anthony is super engaging incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and the wines and does a great job suggesting things without being one of those used car salesman pushy types. He was always there when we needed something from that fork that was dropped on the ground to a second bottle of wine. Honestly I can’t recommend this place enough. Also it’s really cool that while most of the wines are from Italy, they do have some interesting other options. We went for a bottle of red wine from Portugal and it was so good we got a second bottle because it was so reasonably priced.More

Four of us ate at Convivio in Zionsville on a Saturday night, seated at 5:30 PM. Got quite busy by 7 PM so recommend reservations. Excellent food, all Italian, seemed quite a farm-to-table experience. Servings are quite ample, especially the starters like the salads. Our...table had the Saltimbuca, Insalata Mista, Caeser salad, meat ravioli, and two other pasta dishes that were on the special menu. All done quite well, served very hot and delivered the taste and quality expected. Only drawback was the noise level as the restaurant filled up. Hard surfaces on the wall and ceiling caused more background noise and thus, challenges to hear our dinner partners. Otherwise a five star place.More

This was a good dining experience. My wife and I both chose the wines offered on special (hers white and mine red), and we enjoyed them both. My wife had the salmon special, which had a white sauce with some other seafood added. Wow! It...was truly delicious. Amazing flavor. I had the cavatelli manzo; the beef was tender, but the pasta was a bit chewier than I like and the flavor was rather bland. It was not bad, but not amazing like the salmon. Our server, Abby, was pleasant and efficient. From where we sat, we could watch the pasta maker working, which was fun. Overall, a very nice meal. Afterwards we walked around the streets of Zionsville to see some of the houses decorated with Christmas lights. A lovely evening!More

We were staying at a hotel nearby and went to Zionsville restaurant area for dinner. We found Convivio, an upscale Italian Restaurant with excellent food options and very good service.

We love eating here. All homemade pasta. Service is excellent - very attentive, responsive, very customer-focused. Last night my husband ordered the gnocchi and my teenage son and I ordered the puttanesca. We ate all of it and it was so delicious. Wonderful service and...such fresh, amazing food, consistently (we went twice in the past month).More

AWFUL. Place wasn't crowded. Fully disclosed that I had allergies to gluten and cheese. Cheese was on both my salad and my meal and even the reorder. Gave specific instructions for my salad. Came out with both croutons and cheese. Waited several minutes for it...to be corrected. It was eventually corrected. Ordered my dinner it came out with cheese. Waited several minutes for the waiter to return. Informed him on the mix up. Waiter swears up and down that the meal has no cheese... when I could physically see it. Finally takes back the meal, apologizes and it comes back the exact same way. This time he says again theres no cheese. I ate the dish and I have been sick all day. Paid $21 for a meal that made me sick. RIDICULOUS. WILL NOT BE RETURNING!More

I just had a wonderful dinner with my husband here. Really enjoyed the watermelon salad—flavorful. The gnocchi was delicious and the halibut was so very good. Probably one of the best fish entrees I’ve had in awhile. Didn’t catch our waiters name. Young gentleman that...was very polite, helpful and attentive. We are visiting from Michigan but if we return to the area, we will most definitely remember this place!More

We had a nice meal on a weekday night. The pizza is great as it had a very thin crust which we love. We ate early, around 6 pm and by the time we left it was very crowded. The noise level really picked up...as the night went on so we were glad we got there early as by the end, we were having a hard time hear each other from across the table. I have eaten at the other one in Carmel which is also good and not as loud. We will be back to try some other entrees, but did enjoy the pizza. Service was fantastic.More

There are two one in Zionsville the other in Carmel. Carmel has more outdoor seating than Zionsville, however both are nice and food is great.
