Raving about the Copper Spoon is easy; trying to determine my favorite element of the dining experience is not. Superior quality of ingredients and meticulous attention to detail with respect to preparation yield exquisite results for the palate. There’s no slouching in presentation either, and when the food is simply that good, other already favorable aspects of the restaurant as a whole are amplified. Upon entry from the vestibule expect to be greeted by several friendly staff, a mixture of tantalizing aromas and spot-lit shelving that surrounds the hostess stand, containing every imaginable liquor from myriad sources. Quite a sensory amuse-bouche. Wine racks quietly sulk in the shadows to the left, and following them will lead you through the dining area of the bar, replete with thick tables wrapped in—you guessed it—copper. Your fancy might next be tickled by the dim light dancing under stone arches and dark wood accents illuminated like Disney’s Haunted Mansion. I mean that in an ironically elegant and magical way, not creepy. Beyond the exceptional atmosphere and attentive service, there still remains a sensory culmination, the primary focus of my own thoughts: the food. Through four visits I’ve now tried the smutty fries, wings, salmon, Thai noodles, scallops, strawberry pavlova, the NY strip and the ribeye. Holy schneikies, that ribeye. While each dish merits its own recognition, I could shed a tear at how perfect the ribeye has been all three times I’ve had it, IMO topping the more well-known steakhouses for preparation, quality and overall taste. The junk foodie in me does become metaphorically aroused just thinking about the smutty fries, which are actually just lightly fried potato wedges with thinly sliced sautéed onions and seasoned ground beef. Favorite dessert, the strawberry pavlova, or better, call it the strawberry supernova pavlova as it creates a veritable explosion of flavor despite the simplicity of the dish. You’ll eat it even if no longer hungry by dessert. Top the night off with your favorite company, a few drinks from the extensive booze menu, and I don’t think you can get a better dinner experience.

Beautiful restaurant with a fanatistic ambience. I loved everything I ate and drank here and can not wait to come back. I'm not normally one to order pork chops but this was prepared with utmost care and bursting with flavor. It was paired with a local mushroom, smashed potatoes that are absolutely amazing and Felicia glazed onions. If you love a well crafted cocktail, do not miss out on the classic specials on the menu. They also exceed expectations with an EXTENSIVE collection of bourbon and whiskey. My waiter was Kevin B and he is excellent. Super helpful and friendly with great suggestions on the menu. The restaurant was fairly busy for a Wednesday evening but the service was attentive without being pushy. There's some street parking with meters around and other options across the street. I love the view of the ballpark from the patio. I've already planned my next trip so I can be here for whiskey Wednesday's. Also make sure to save room for dessert. The olive oil cake was moist and just delightful! I have a favorite for next time I'm in town. I appreciate the fact that they had spaced out tables in accordance with social distancing guidelines.

A surprisingly upscale atmosphere with a curated menu ranging from Thai to classic American. The bar seating and decor created a relaxing environment to enjoy the huge range of cocktails and spirits that CS offers. You can tell that everything on the menu has been thoroughly tested and perfected to fit with the upscale yet comfortable atmosphere. I believe the menu speaks for itself and the addition of the friendly and attentive staff along with the cozy and uncomplicated seating, all served to create an unexpected fantastic meal.

We came to Copper Spoon for a birthday meal. We ordered the charcuterie board and a spinach salad to share for an appetizer (we took half of the charcuterie home) and we each had a cocktail. They were were all marvelous. When it came time to order an entree, I went for the scallops, and they were amazing. Truly delicious. My partner didn’t see anything on the menu that suited him. There were not very many choices. He ended up ordering a $14 hamburger that came with nothing. Back to the charcuterie. It came with a generous variety of meats and cheeses, and a very small quantity of bread. When we asked for some more bread, it took 15 minutes. Here’s the thing about the bread. When we got the check we were disappointed to find an additional charge for a small quantity of bread. And this was on a bill bill that otherwise came to $140 for appetizers, two entrees, and two rounds of drinks. The food was good, but we felt that there need to be more entree choices and that for what is a higher priced meal in this city, there is no need to nickel and dime the guests. We may be back, because the food was good, but we are hesitant based on this experience.

Meir, thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback. We are still rebuilding the restaurant due to the pandemic, and as much as I don't want this to be evident to guests, it does present us with limitations and challenges. With a lot of new faces in the kitchen and positions left unfilled, we have had to scale back our menu a bit until we find our stride. Unfortunately, we've also had to raise some prices due to cost of goods increasing, as well as us increasing wages in order to both retain and attract new team members. It is my hope that we continue to learn from these experiences and will soon find ourselves back into our pre-pandemic groove. I do hope you will visit us again and see how we've grown! Thank you for celebrating your special day with us, cheers!

Our server left us with no drink order or food for quite some time before coming back to attend to our table. The server failed to mention that there were some seasonal appetizer specials for the evening and we had to ask about them. We were with two other couples. Each steak enteee that was ordered came out a full 10 mins prior to the chicken and risotto everyone else ordered. The food was just OK. This was our 2nd time at Copper Spoon so we were unimpressed when some of the dishes we had ordered on our previous trip came out unlike the last time we ordered. I had the Chicken Breast with risotto that was so undercooked it was inedible! Being that I was entertaining my brother and his wife as well as my parents from out of town we did not bother with complaining, we just took this L in silence. Be wary of the Spoon, consistency is the key to return customers. For that we won’t be returning

I am sorry to hear your most recent visit was not up to par. I would hope that your previous visit would show you that we are capable of better. As is the case with all restaurants right now, we are very short handed and doing our best to maintain our high standards during a rebuilding phase. During your visit, we had 2 servers and 1 trainee taking care of the entire restaurant as well as a small kitchen crew. I assure you that the entire staff is working hard to be as efficient as possible, but until we have a full crew, we just ask that guests are patient with us. As far as the risotto preparation, our chef is serving a faro grain, which is much more chewy and dense than the traditional arborio rice that is typically used in risottos, so I can see how this could seem undercooked if you are expecting a fluffy soft arborio. I do wish you had let us know or asked for a manager so we could have an opportunity to address your issues during the time of your visit. I understand your position in choosing to forego that conversation, but the last thing we want to happen is for a guest to leave dissatisfied without having an opportunity to make it right for you and reading about it after the fact. If you'd like to reach me directly, please email Gary at gary@copperspoonfw.com. Thank you!

I had been hearing that I needed to try Copper Spoon for well over a year, and I'm glad I finally did. The ambiance was really nice. The cocktail list is amazing and the quality of the drinks is top-notch. I started with an Eastside and my daughter had a Brown Derby. Our appetizer of salt and vinegar fried oysters was delicious with a crisp coating. I had the charcuterie for my meal because I had greatly enjoyed it at the restaurant the chef worked at previously, and it didn't disappoint. My daughter's diver scallops were perfect. Everything we had was delicious and the service was impeccable. I look forward to a return trip with my husband.

My buddy Josh Messmann and wife Katie raved so much about Copper Spoon, they insisted I go. I must say, I was highly satisfied and will return before heading home. Coming from New York, I had a major league disappointing experience at the minor league stadium here two year agos ago with my long time friend Paul Bird and for that reason the conversation of Copper Spoon came up with Josh and Katie. We enjoyed fantastic cocktails with an exquisite charcuterie board. Delicious. I love the atmosphere and the service is top notch. I shall return before i had back home because I have to enjoy more of your Diver Scallops! They are the bomb.com! Thank you Messmann's, thank you Paul. It's funny how experiences transcend and good comes about. Most of all, thank you Copper Spoon. Amazing!

This used to be a favorite spot of mine. I am so disappointed at what this once wonderful place has become. My husband and I visited for Valentines day this year. We were excited and happy to be in a place of such fond memories. We ordered the Valentines Day special. It was a dinner "for two" for one fixed price of $150. We usually order the dinners around 60 a plate plus appetizers so it would be about the same as usual. Unfortunately, when our main course arrived, it was one plate. One serving with an extra plate. Desert was the same, one plate. The food was good. This was not the problem. The disappointment came from the feeling of being ripped off. The server offered a reasoning of the steak being grassfed but this was not the issue. It was supposed to be for two people. There was hardly enough for one person. If we wanted to split our food up we could have ordered one dinner and split it. I am so sad to have to say goodbye now to a place that used to love. It is just not the same anymore.

First of all, I am saddened that we never received a review sharing your wonderful experiences over the years. We like hearing about those times as well, and would've hoped you'd considered those into your overall rating. Regarding the Valentine's feature, guest feedback has been overwhelmingly positive which leaves me confused. The dinner includes 2 full dinner salads. The main dish features a full pound of locally sourced ribeye (a half pound per person), wild caught sea scallops with hollandaise, grilled broccolini, crispy yukon potatoes, accompanied by romesco and chimichurri. The dessert options were both full individualized cakes rather than slices and were very sharable in size for their decadence. Had the items been on our regular menu, they would have been $12 + $12 + $75 + $39 + $12 = $150. I am sorry if for some reason this didn't seem like enough food. I would be curious to learn more about why our service was a 2-star and atmosphere only a 3 out of 5. Please reach out to gary@copperspoonfw.com so I can learn more. To say that you have to say goodbye over one night's featured dinner hardly feels fair, but that is your choice. Thank you for your past support.

Really enjoyed the vibe here. We sat in one of the private seating areas in the bar room, and had a kind of picture of the bar activity. We had the charcuterie board (exceeded expectations), the octopus appetizer (below expectations- not enough octopus, but wonderful flavors), and the scallop entree. We LOVED the blood orange margaritas- I had the mezcal option- excellent! We'll be back.

Met with family at the Copper Spoon for dinner. The olive and the morel mushroom appetizers were delicious. My strip steak was cooked perfectly at medium rare. It was the best strip steak I've ever had at a restaurant, and I'm in my 70's. The service was professional and attentive. We will go back.

So, I take Jill to Fort Wayne every year for her birthday to eat at one of our favorite restaurants. I booked the room, invited friends to join us only to find out Tolon was closed for a private event. I had heard good things about Copper Spoon so I booked a reservation there but had no idea what we were getting into. We were warmly greeted at the door by the host and he acknowledged Jill’s birthday. We walked into the bar and had booth in the corner that felt like a private dinning room. Noah, our server introduced himself and gave us a thorough tour of the menus. The food was just incredible. The chicken wing apps can only be described as gourmet, I had the tuna over kimchi rice and it was unbelievable, best Mack and cheese we’ve ever had. Fair prices and wonderful cocktails and wine list.

The food was great, the service was excellent and the music playlist was amazing. It seemed like everyone knew and enjoyed everyone else and the conversation was classy. Great vibe. It’s no wonder that they have many regulars. It was my first visit and I have a food sensitivity and the waiter and kitchen could not have been more accommodating. I’d return in a heartbeat.

The holiday cocktail was very good. The smutty fries were good especially the potatoes. The scallops and risotto were excellent. The salted caramel bundino was good, but sweeter than expected. The fried chicken carbonara just didn’t taste like much. Great atmosphere.

The place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it has a very pleasant subdued atmosphere on the inside with low lighting, copper tones, and rock and stucco facades. The space is a little small. Our booth was completely surrounded by stucco and faced the bar. We were so close that I was essentially staring at the people there. My husband and I had the New York strip. It came with Yukon potatoes and broccoli. Everything was excellent. Even the broccoli was good with the way they seasoned it. I drank a couple of Old Fashioneds. They were good, but they did not include the cherry. The service was really good too.

Was looking for a spot right by the Tincaps stadium, wanting to kill time before the game. My friend had been here before and liked it so wanted to go again. Since it was just drinks we sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and attentive and offered the drink specials. I had a moscow mule which was strong, just like I like it, and my friend had a half off (I think that was the special) wine. It was a pleasant way to spend an hour before the game.
