I went for the beer while traveling for business. I am partial to Scotch ale and they have a good one. The bartender happily provided me with tastes of two hoppy pale ales including a hazy as well as a porter. All were very solid and enjoyable beers. Now let’s talk about the place: an old brick building in the back of a dirt and paved parking lot in an area that is in the process of becoming an eclectic part of town. The inside is a clean and interesting “hole in the wall” with surprisingly good food that reflects a thought process of having delicious food and willingness to devote the effort to make it. The table tops and bar are made of old slabs of hardwood and the bare brick give a factory rustic look. On warmer days there is an area in the back with outdoor seating . The menu is not inexpensive but I think the food, beer, and the people are worth it. I will be back next time I am In town.

Always wanted to go to the Junk Ditch Brewing Company and my birthday was a good time. The place is an old warehouse off the road. We had reservation and our table was ready on time. They had their restaurant set-up so that once you sat down you didn't see anyone but your party. They have a wide variety of beer, wine and drinks to choose from. They allow tasting of their on-tap beers before choosing. I choose the Citrasanct which was a pale ale with a light citrus flavor. For appetizer, we had Pretzel & Pub Cheese, Fried Brussels Sprouts, and Roasted Mushrooms. Everything was made from scratch and delicious. It is a Farm to Table place. Our waitress knew the farm source for every food item. Our waitress was great. The meal was at a perfect pace. For my entrée I had Shrimp & Crab Fried Rice. It was wonderful.' It was tasty. For dessert I had the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding. Again it was tasty. Their other desserts are made from scratch as well, including their ice cream. It was a wonderful evening.

Although we love many restaurants in Fort Wayne, this is the one we would probably crown as the all-time best. I just cannot explain how simple, yet creative and delicious the food is. During the Covid lockdown, we would pick up Friday night carry-out dinners here, and that chuck roast gnocchi just keep me going, next to a roaring fire and binge watching the Outlander series. It’s still my favorite thing to order. All the vegetables are custom grown by a local vegetable tamer, and the meats are sourced from a variety of local farmers as well. The restaurant itself is a beautiful, almost Scandinavian-spare reclaimed warehouse space— a little bright but absolutely lovely, with a “proof of materials” showcased in the old architectural craftsmanship. Every beer I have had from their berry is top notch. I particularly like Andy Pants and the Hibiscus beer. Service is invariably outstanding.

Excellent - food, service, ambience; lots of parking, reasonable prices. When the server learned we were first-time customers, we were offered a free tasting of their fried brussel sprouts, delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant.

The staff were really nice, but I gave two stars and should have only given one! Who in the world thinks it is ok to charge $30.00 for a bowl of rice, radish, deep fried shiitake mushrooms and carrot strings and half a chicken breast! I realize that there should be some pride in workmanship… but how much pride does it take to cook a @&$?! Mushroom??? Your management should be ashamed! I don’t mind paying premium for food that has actually had some time invested…but $30 for a dish that quite honestly didn’t taste exceptional is too much…save your money and get Chinese take out!!!

We had spent 11 hours in the car and wanted a craft beer and good food. This place did not disappoint. It was hard picking just one thing to eat so we tried 3- Brussel sprouts, salmon dip and the sausage and mushroom pizza. All excellent. The beer was fabulous too- if you like dessert stouts their Carrot Cake was just about perfect to sip and enjoy- only thing missing was the fireplace.

We were very pleased with the choices of beer and food. We had made a reservation for a Wednesday night, but when we arrived it wasn't busy. We had a great server - Michelle. She made some recommendations for beer and food. We both tried a flight of beer and found some good choices. Michelle brought us a free appetizer to try of their pretzel and cheese dip which was a nice touch (since we were first time visitors). Then we had two appetizers for our meal - they were plenty big enough! I had the smoked salmon on toast and my husband had the ricotta with root vegetables. We also shared the fried brussels sprouts which were delicious! Fun choices and we would come back when in the area!

We went for the Sunday brunch and the food was amazing! Our server Samantha was awesome. She had great recommendations and was so friendly, they also have really good beer. They have an outdoor seating area that is heated in the winter and is nice and cozy. The prices may seem a little high for a brewery but the food is worth the cost. It's made from local ingredients and scratch.

Me (while driving): can you take my phone and punch Junk Ditch into Waze? Him: Junk Ditch? Me: Yes Him: Junk Ditch? You're serious? Me: (serious face) We passed through Fort Wayne on our way to Columbus. I used to travel to FW for work many years ago, but hasn't been back since (and even then I mostly saw the inside of an office or hotel). I was excited to try JD, the menu looked good and it had lots of rave reviews. We arrived on the later side of lunch, so we had no terrible scoring a table. It's a cute rustic place with a industrial feel. I ordered the shrimp banh mi with the fries and husband the carnitas poutine and a beer. We were both very pleased with our meals and agreed the thick hand cut fries were divine. I don't get a lot of banh mis as a pescatarian, and was thrilled by the option. The bread was a bit more soft than crunchy, but it worked. Overall, we highly recommend this place. We'd definitely strip by again if we were passing through. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked tasty.

A hidden gem in Fort Wayne for food and beer. Using local farms, they have crafted up delicious entrees with the best ingredients. The beer paired with the dishes offered brings out a certain ambience. The place was kid friendly with awesome service. Check the menu before you go. We went on a Saturday and it was brunch. Highly recommend anyone that has adventurous taste buds. This place leaves a lasting impression.

I have never been to Junk Ditch before so I didn't know what to expect. I ordered the Junk Ditch cheeseburger and fries. My burger was huge, perfectly grilled, well done but still very juicey. Fries were very good. Staff was very good, personable and efficient, including our waitress. I definitely recommend Junk Ditch for a drink and snack or dinner or any occasion. I'll be back !

The 3 of us stopped by on our way out of town and we hope to go back soon. Great food, service along with good brewed beers. We did not have a reservation and they were able to seat us in short order. A reservation may be a good idea because I can see this place filling up on the weekends.

Best food. Super creative, in a comfort food sort of way. Love the presentation too! This is my most favorite restaurant in FW. However now you need a reservation it's so popular, which makes me sad - but happy for them to always be booked. Open a larger location that features the GK Bakery with their own space!

So much more than just a brewery. Besides having really good beer, you can also come here for the high-end food alone. The chuck roast gnocchi is amazing, and the pizzas are delicious and sizable. Love the adorable little outdoor patio.

This must be some of the best food in Ft. Wayne. For a late lunch, we ordered the poutine, brussels sprouts, and the apple salad, all to share. It had wonderful taste, was well presented, and served by the most pleasant server. We had two ciders, as we are not beer drinkers. We cannot wait to return as we are not local!
