I ate here alone tonight. Very good.! I am a food snob. I’ve traveled this country and a few others eating my way through the best of food cities. I cook better than average and can and have made almost everything that I enjoyed here....A seafood antipasti, calamari, octopus, shrimp and zucchini sticks. All flavored well and all cooked well. Presented with a dipping sauce. The sauce was not overwhelming, which allowed the quality of the foods to shine. I can’t really describe the sauce, reddish in color, close to a marinara but with subdued mellow flavor. Next was a Cesar salad, fresh with a traditional flavor, with a bit of a twist. I thought I tasted a hint of berry flavored balsamic, raspberry? There was a generous portion of shaved cheese, most likely a good parm. When I place my order, the server asked me if I wanted anchovies, I love anchovies and remarked yes. My salad had a few well placed fillets. Tasted great and accented the salad. The server, when they placed the salad carried a pepper mill and asked “ fresh ground? fine or course?” nice detail. The service was excellent, paced and allowed me to relax. I felt no pressure and the meal was nicely timed. Desert: a chocolate crape wrapped around vanilla ice cream, placed on a chocolate sauce, topped with dollops of whipped cream with some strawberry slices. The strawberries were stunning. Tasted like strawberry. I know that sounds weird but sometimes the flavors of each component gets washed out or is not delivered properly. All the desert components where given a equally high importance in this dish. Ps: A cappuccino. You won’t be disappointed choosing this place. Nicely done and with pride.More
