I would really recommend ordering ahead. They have maybe 5 or 6 tables in the place and it is maybe twice the size of my bathroom. It was packed pretty tightly. We had to wait awhile for a table but we got one and had a sampler platter, food and the waitress was great. However we felt cramped and after we finished he had them change our pizzas to go, and took them back to our hotel. Food, no complaints, best pizza I ever had. But if I were to go to this location again I'd order ahead and eat it anywhere but there.

I thought the deep dish cheese pizza was good. The garlic cheese bread dipped in the sauce was good. The house salad was good. The honey mustard dressing not so good it tasted more like italian dressing to me but the waitress assured me it was there honey mustard so I just wouldn't order it again. $17 for a small deep dish cheese was plenty for three of us. It's so filling. The waitresses were nice enough.

The night before traveling to Mexico we stayed in an hotel close to O'Hare airport. We called in an order of pizza for pickup and didn't realize that Des Plaines wasn't the Giordano's down the road from our hotel. It would have been nice if they confirmed that they were close to our hotel. When the Giordano's by our hotel didn't have our order we picked up food from a grocery store to eat as it was Friday night at 8 pm. I was not happy when the correct Giordano's called and made us pay for the pizza we didn't want to drive 40 minutes to pick up.

Ordered a medium chicago classic deep dish and a salad. After trying to up charge by asking what appetizers and drinks we wanted after stating no multiple times, I find out that instead of charging me the price of the specialty pizza, this guy at the counter charged me for a build your own pizza, and added each topping manually resulting in a higher price. He didn’t tell me the price after ringing everything up, and also never gave me a receipt, now I know why. My group was hungry so I didn’t even think about it until after the fact (my fault for trusting him to charge accurate prices according to his menu). Definitely never returning to this store as the guy knew exactly what he was doing. Unethical business practice for a greedy staff. Highly recommend going to the Giordano’s in Rosemont. Friendly staff who don’t overcharge customers.

On May 9, 2021 a friend and I who are both 14 went to Giordanos Des Plaines and ordered a medium thin crust pizza with 3 half toppings and two Pepsi’s. On the Giordanos website this order comes out to $28.52 as the total for the order. However, the bill came out to $37 and he didn’t give me a receipt. It wasn’t until I returned to my table and investigated that we realized something was wrong. Scamming children really reflects badly on you and the fact that you just pocketed extra cash for yourself is even worse. What kind of a person do you have to be to not even pick on someone your own size?

Don't cancel your order if you pay with a credit card. They will not refund you. Even if you call the restaurant directly to cancel it with over 90 mins to spare. Still waited for the 5-7 day processing. 2 weeks later, I'm still calling the restaurant, asking to speak to a dodgy owner to refund me.
I order a pizza online about 4 hours ahead of time. I hear that the ones I intended to share it with were already bringing food. I called to cancel the order with over an hour and a half lead time, asking if they have made it already (they hadn't) and to cancel the order.
I get a call from a different person 15 minutes after the intended pick- up time informing me that my order was ready. So there goes their organization and communication skills. I get charged for the pizza I never wanted or picked up.
The order was placed Sunday, the charge is still there on Friday, so I give the place a call. I get the owner. Great, I thought I can maybe I can get my money back faster. I was wrong. Sahead, or Sayed, (spelling) told me, condescendingly, that "You're not understanding me. Even if it processed in your bank, it takes 5-7 business days for the refund to go through. Trust me, I don't mess with credit cards. This is a reputable establishment."
I'm writing this on August 6th. The charge was finalized July 21st. Still no money back.

1st time tryin the Giordano's brand as we were in town for the weekend and were told it was must if Chicago area, and must say I wish we would of chose a different location. Pizza was good, but the person , who apparently was the owner, was RUDE! did explain any of the menu other than its on the wall. The wall had several options for size, but when we tried to order small size pizza, he said they only had medium and small, but it was clearly on menu.. again he was rude, spoke to us very short tone. Ridiculous. If you don't want a business and treat people with respect. don't have one.. Next day I went online and you can order to-go and guess what small pizza were an option... I would recommend a different location for sure!

I wish i had read all the wonderful comments on google reviews before visiting this branch in specific. I am from MI and deep dish pizza is a must for our family every time we visit Chicago. This was the first time we visited the halal location and definitely the very last. The man on the counter was extremely rude. He actually shouted at me for bringing in coffee from outside while they do not sell coffee in their restaurant.
Was told to wait for 50 mins for the order and I literally had to cancel my order and leave the place after this guy lashed out at me 30 mins after i placed the order. With absolutely no shame, he cancelled my order and refunded my money. I will spread the word in my circle and will let every possible person know of this pathetic encounter. It is Better to go and eat the cheese and vege version than facing this kind of disrespect. I plan to file a complaint at Giordano’s main office against this kind of incompetent staff who will ultimately destroy the chain’s brand image. No hard feelings against the old man. God help him!

I start my comments by saying I am a Lou Malnati guy for many reasons.
I came to this location for a 35% off coupon and said, let's try it out for Food, as I had New Year's at my house! I ordered 4 pizzas and 1 deep-dish veggie option. I asked when I could arrive to pick up the pizzas and told them by 745/8 pm as they were leaving for the day. I picked up my Pizza from this location, Des Plaines, and placed it in my oven to stay warm. The veggie option was a spinach and mushroom option; later that night, we realized sausage was in the Pizza around 1030 pm.
Much later than the location stated they would open. I called the next day to explain to the site that the mistake was costly as it was our only Veggie option for our guests. The rudeness I experienced is something a high schooler would do, not someone claiming to be the owner/GM/manager. I was talked down to and told I should have called at 11 when we found out that the Pizza was a mistake after I explicitly said that the location closed at 8 pm. The owner, a woman who refused to give her name out due to how she spoke to me, decided to hang up on me when I was frustrated with her tone. Then, when I called back to ask why I was hung up, she stated I was on speakerphone to illustrate that I was a joke. All the "owner had to do was apologize and offer to remake a new pizza, but from the start, she was full of herself and treated me like a child.
The Pizza was horrible. Costco Pizza is better tasting, and regarding customer service, from the first phone call to the pick-up to the last phone call, it was hands down the worst experience I have ever had.
You might want to try Giordano's Pizza, but stay away from this location; the Food is horrible, the customer service is disgusting, and the overall experience you will get if you have a problem is disturbing from a national chain! I am reaching out to cooperate at this same time, and I am sure that with their 3.9 review rating, the "owner" has treated many others with this same disgusting attitude.
Like I said in the beginning, I am a Lou Malnati guy, and now I will go out of my way and pay more for a much better experience any day of the week. That 35% coupon should have been a sign

I ordered (3) pizzas for pickup from this location on 10/22/22 and will NEVER be ordering from them again! The staff at this Des Plaines location is RUDE, ENTITLED and they are operating the business and representing your brand with shady/illegal practices. I placed the order over the phone and right away the man taking my order was rude, short, and couldn't be bothered with me asking any questions. I inquired about removing the 3% surcharge, which they've done in the past, upon request, at other locations. I was told by the order taker that this was a corporate charge and he could not do anything about it. (On a side note - I don't understand why you charge me an ADDITIONAL 3% to patronize your business?! Can you just raise your prices, as it would make me feel better??) Once I arrived to pickup the pizzas, the same RUDE man was working the pickup area. He said they didn’t offer plates, napkins or utensils....REALLY?! Then what is my 3% surcharge going towards? I then asked for an itemized receipt and he claimed they do not provide them and that I could only have the receipt showing the total charge. After some back and forth, since I require an itemized receipt for business expense purposes, the staff member told me to QUOTE "Screw off" and "Bring back the food for a refund if I wanted". THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR!! I was very close to calling the Des Plaines police at this point, but did not want to deal with this HORRIBLE staff member anymore. They clearly do not want you to see what you're being charged and if you ask, all hell breaks loose.

I would not even give this place 1 star, should be 0 star or neg star. We drove 40-45mins to go to try this halal place. These people say they are Muslims but cheat other people and Muslims. I saw reviews online which were negative both here on google reviews and on zabihah.com but still wanted to try it. First of all the guy in front was rude, her sister took our order and for 1 deep dish meta lover pizza, large salad and large chicken tenders we were charged $99.98 and she even before I asked threw away the receipt and was giving only credit card receipt so I don't check how she charged me. On asking she told we charge a "PREMIUM" for halal meat used in pizza but it did not make any sense. Deep Dish meat lover was $37.50 for large ( even if premium $5 which she did not tell how much premium) would be $42.50 + for large salad $16.50 and she did not tell chicken tender price and told $16.50 - still total would be $75.50 + tax even if 10% would be $7-8 max bill should have been $80-82.
She charged $99.80 and would not show me how or give me a breakdown bill on insisting again and again the brother standing had the audacity to tell me "If you want to eat that is the price or you take refund". I demanded refund and left.
Sad these people call themselves Muslims and say serve halal items, with the way they are cheating people I doubt even if they carry real halal meats.
Very sad wanted to help and give large tip which I usually do left there and went in regret that we came all the way to be cheated by these so called Muslim owners.

Perfect!!!! Clean, delicious food and an excellent place to grab a meal. Stopped in to get the Cobb salad... great music, friendly people and I can’t say enough about the salad... it’s the best one ever!!! I was able to eat lunch and work on my reports. If you have t had their chopped salad... get it!!!

Great service! Everyone was super helpful and friendly! The staff was always on top of cleaning and the restaurant was so neat! I would recommend this place as your usual pizza place! They have great menu options including even varieties for those with vegetarian options. They have indoor and outdoor seating comfortable for various party sizes! This is definitely one of my favorite regular places to eat!

We had a Giordano's delivered to our hotel room after ordering using the website. It took about an hour as the stuffed pizza takes a long time to cook, but is well worth the wait for that classic Chicago taste!
