What do you do for a Cubs game..... You stop in at Murphy's before heading in. Great service. Never heard a bloody mary called breakfast soup. They do offer great drink specials too. A Cubs game tradition to stop in.

Stopped in for a pregame beer or two. Service was great, seating was limited due to the place being packed! made new friends and shared a table. Food looked good but did not eat here. Many places for get drinks which was nice!!

The place was jammed inside but the service window for food was very quick. Burgers for 10 bucks nothing to write home about but serviceable. Bar staff was fast. Restrooms clean. Grabbed a table outside, watched and enjoyed the view while catching up with an old friend. It worked.

No where on their website does it say that their game day menu is different. As an out of towner I have to rely on their website to see menus, hours of operation, etc. We show up early expecting to sit down and have a leisurely dinner before the Cubs game. That didn't happen. On game day they only have typical ballpark food (precooked) available that you purchase through a window. You have to go to the bar to order a drink. No table service at all. If that's what I wanted I could have just eaten at the ballpark. We ended up getting a burger, which was immediately handed to us wrapped in foil. Who knows how long it hade been sitting. I only ate half before getting sick. I felt so sick during the Cubs game that my husband had to go to the first aid station and get pepto for me.

Visited here after we had a tour of Wrigleyfield on a non game day. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food and drinks were reasonably priced and were tasty. Not much else to say but if you're in the area please make a visit here.

Of all the bars next to the stadium, this was definitely the best. The prices were not cheap, but not ridiculous for its location. The food was pretty good (had the chicken sandwich). The beer selection was great. The staff was friendly and efficient. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Definitely would go back the next time I go to Wrigley.

The home pub for fans of the Cubs. It has a deceptively small front but it's pretty huge inside. Food was solidly American and decent value. Good range of ales. Servers all very friendly and professional. Great place to stop if you're visiting Wrigley Field (although I think it might be a bit busy on match days...).

Located across the street from Wrigley Field, a great sports bar. Lots of memorabilia to look at, great selection of beers on tap and some really good bar food. Worth a visit

This is the best Goddamn turkey burger in the free world. You have to put up with proprietor Freddy’s boy band nonsense to get fed, but it’s well worth it - Ask for the Irish Mist next time you stop in!

I wasn't at Murphy's Bleachers when the Cubs clinched the World Series championship in 2016. I watched the celebration on TV. But any day at Murphy's Bleachers before and after a Cubs game is a life experience, one to be enjoyed and/or endured at least once. Located at 3655 North Sheffield Avenue in Chicago's bustling Wrigleyville neighborhood, at Waveland, in the shadow of Wrigley Field's center field scoreboard, it is open from 11 to 1 a.m. daily. It's a spacious sports pub with an outdoor area across the street from Wrigley Field that packs in fans on game days. It started in the 1930s when Ernie Pareti opened Ernie's Bleachers, a hot dog stand selling beer by the pail after Prohibition. In 1965, it became Ray's Bleachers when Ernie sold to Ray Meyers. It achieved renown as the home of the Bleacher Bums. Meyers sold to Jim Murphy in 1980 and the bar has grown in size and reputation ever since. You can watch a game from a seat at the bar or from the rooftop overlooking Sheffield Avenue. The bar grub ain't bad, either. Try Murphy's Famous 1/2-pound Burger with fresh ground tenderloin trimmings, American cheese and grilled onions with fries. Or the 1/4-pound Angus beef Chicago-style hot dog with Murphy's Famous Chili with sour cream, cheese and onions. Or choose pizza, bratwurst, Polish, corned beef, Italian beef, steak, Reuben or BLT or chicken wings or chicken tenders. And be sure to admire all of the sports memorabilia on the walls. A visit to Murphy's Bleachers is a tradition unlike any other.

My husband and I decided to have a few pregame drinks at Murphy's and we enjoyed our time at the bar. Next time we'll try the food.

We stopped by here after the ballgame. It’s a fun place, with a whole lot of baseball fans! They were extremely busy, and ran out of a few food items. I wish that there were more tables and chairs though, as we had to stand during our two hours here. Also, I ordered a drink and it was awful. The bartender was really busy so maybe that’s why she left out one of the main ingredients, but she seemed really stressed and she was not very friendly, so I switched to beer and threw out the drink.

We hit Murphy's before a cubs game. While it was crowded (obviously) it was pretty reasonable given the location. We had brats, burgers and beer and it didn't break the bank. Certainly cheaper than Wrigley.
