Stopped in for lunch on my first day in Boise as a visitor on the recommendation of someone I sat next to on the airplane.
Great choice! Cozy little venue with small raised tables out front of a counter where you order all kinds of delicious food including daily specials. Everything I ordered was delicious, but the meatballs and soup of the day, which was a veggie/tomato bisque, were truly special. Reasonable prices in my opinion.
Small patio area outside was full but the paella which was cooking on my arrival looked fantastic.
This is a special place with friendly people to order from and the server that delivered the food was delightful.
I’m going to be in Boise for six days and I may go back for lunch one of the days. It was that good.

Wonderful restaurant and market in the heart of the Basque Block. Excellent, authentic Basque food, from wine to tapas to paella. Go to experience the making, serving, and eating of paella if nothing else! Tony (or one of his crew) make an enormous pan of paella on the sidewalk several times/week. Call for details, but it’s typically two lunches and one dinner time. Rain or shine, summer or winter. Serves about 60 and when it’s gone, it’s gone. Delicious: Spanish sausage, shrimp, mussels, veggies. Buy your ‘ticket’, to reserve your lunch portion, order a glass or bottle of wine, have a few tapas while you wait. Eat indoors or out. The market also hosts cooking classes. Go, support this local gem; you won’t regret it!

We stopped in with two other couples for lunch and loved our experience here. Jose was very knowledgeable about their wines, and gave us an impromptu tasting. We ordered a variety of tapas and enjoyed them all. Having traveled many times to Spain, we were very pleasantly delighted by the food and wine. We liked it so much that we went back the next day and happened to be there for their paella day. Very yummy. Altogether a great experience. Highly recommend.

This place is part specialty grocery market, part restaurant. They have a nice selection of rotating tapas - several of them quite tasty and nicely presented. Anchovy olive dish appealed to my lady.

I decided to try their paella and it was really overpriced for what you got. It was mostly rice with two clams, one mussel and one shrimp. I spent $12.67 with tax. I had an upset stomach the rest of the day after eating it.

Every once in a great while you have a food experience that meets all of your needs, then exceeds all of your needs, and then makes you happy to the depths of your soul. This place is that place for me. Went on a Friday for the outdoor Paella, got to watch it being cooked, and then eat it along with some other delicious foods. The entire experience was sublime. The owners were gracious, kind, humorous and all around fabulous. The food was absolutely killer. The environment, the food, the experience, the vibe and the culture all combined to make it a beautiful experience. It is certainly something you should plan and build a day around. A MUST!

Awesome and authentic Basque food, in an informal setting. Had the Patatas bravas (sort of french fries with really good sauce), croquettes (fried tater tot looking things with a variety of great fillings), chorizo pastries. Varied menu with soup and sandwich options too.

Just stopped in for lunch with my 19 year-old daughter. This place ticks all the boxes and then some, effortlessly oozing old world charm in a friendly, lighthearted setting. As others have noted, the paella is top notch, the tapas and tasting portions were delicious, and the soup! First. Rate. Food. Very friendly staff sanitized our patio table. Twice. It was also fun to browse the excellent wines, Basque recipes and kitchen items they sell. Our daughter is staying in Boise to dance with Ballet Idaho. Good thing I’m not. I’d be eating and drinking here every day of the week. Don’t miss it! (I will!)

We ate lunch here on our recent visit to Boise. We decided to do Tapas, so we had the Croquetas, Patatas Brava, and Basque Meatballs. Each dish was delicious and we had enough food that we were both comfortably full after finishing these three. Our only disappointment was that we didn't have room to try more dishes. We would definitely eat here again (and bring a bigger group).

This is a small specialty market focusing on grocery specialties from the Basque region in Europe. They are famous for their big pan of paella on Wednesday noontime. Grab a plate and sit at the family-style big table inside or in nice weather outdoors. Some evenings they have Tapas. The baguettes they sell are the best in the city. The staff welcomes you as if you were family, even if you don't know them. This is a neighborhood market with an ethnic twist.

Their menu consists of tapas and pinxtos. They had a pretty good assortment including some daily specials. My wife and I shared 5 different dishes that were excellent and very authentic. We also had a glass of sangria that was good.
We liked the place a great deal.
Highly recommended.

This is the best food we had on a two-week tour of Idaho and Montana. We ate here twice. Just superb. We had the tortilla and it is heavenly. Not what you think when you see the word "tortilla." This dish has flavor, is tender and just yummy. Somewhat of an egg casserole and yet something different too. the meatball were great as was their bean and ham soup. We came back for the Paella made outside. Get there before 11:00 and get a seat right in front of where it is being made. Tony the operator/owner and Jose will answer all your questions and you can take as many photos as you wish. This will be a highlight of your visit. Tony will tell you all about Basque culture and history if you wish. And the sangria is great on a warm morning. Do not miss this place downtown. The Basque museum and culture center is across the quiet street.

This is a must do in Boise. Get to this place early on a Friday. Arrive about 11:15 and order your Paella. Then check out the market and stake out a table to watch the master Paella maker work his magic preparing your meal. The paella is authentic Basque. Order some Croquettes while you wait.

I took the parents to get the Paella on Friday and the staff was friendly. This place is really small so expect to wait for a table or just grab it to go. The paella was good but was a little scarce on the seafood. Cool experience. Shrimp croquetas tasted like potato only. If you are looking for a quick lunch on a nice day this place would not disappoint.

What a great little place! Visiting family from Colorado and wanted to try Basque district. Cafe and small market well stocked with cheese, charcuterie, and wine.
Employees friendly and greeted us with good descriptions of food. Offered samples of almond dessert and Choritzo.
Food was fresh and delicious.
They forgot one of our dishes, but we're apologetic and made it right without asking.
Truly quality service and a must stop on Boise.
