First of all I avoid writing bad reviews, it isn’t nice, but today’s experience really did warrant a poor review. We go to Rifos frequently and usually enjoy their food, but something seems to have gone wrong at our last few visits. Today’s visit sealed...it for us. We ordered the Mad moose (bacon and pancakes) and the Monte cristo (ricotta French toast). We waited nearing 40 minutes for our food and even had to ask if our order had been forgotten. If the place was busy I could understand this, but there were no more than three people eating during our wait. When our food arrived it was luke warm at best. The Mad moose looked like it had been thrown together in a hurry and was swimming in maple syrup which basically overpowered everything on the plate. The Monte cristo was cold, did not seem to be French toast but basically a ricottta toastie with no element of French toast to it. The cinnamon wasn’t sprinkled over the meal, but instead dumped in the middle in a pile and the entire dish was swimming in maple syrup which made the toastie soggy and dominated the meal. Everyone is allowed an off day, so when we let the wait staff know that it tasted awful and was cold the reply was simply that it was freshly cooked. This actually made the situation worse, firstly if that was the case why did it take nearly 40 minutes for our food and secondly please don’t lie to me, our food was cold. The wait staff offered nothing to rectify this awful meal, so we paid and left. Sorry, that’s it for us, we won’t be visiting there again.More

Visited last night, a group of 3. To put bluntly worst experience at a restaurant in 16 years of living in Perth. This venue was once the go to of Perth.... however ( to give context we dine out on average twice a week around...Perth) When ordering drinks, had to chase the waitress up as food delivery services appear to have become more of a focus than customers in a restaurant looking for a drink refill. It took 1 hour and 22 minutes for 2 meals to arrive, with the following meal arriving some 5 or so minutes after. Compared with other venues in Perth, the food was average at best, that said if it came out hot and not luke warm, bordering cold, it could be a slightly different story, possibly all the delivery orders pushed our meals to the back of the warmer. When questioned where our food was around the one hour mark, we did receive 6 slices of garlic bread on the house (that was actually hot). However with such terrible service, We all agreed never to return. If your considering going, would suggest getting a food delivery service to deliver from this restaurant, it will save you a lot of time. To give further insight we saw one delivery driver return at least 5 times whilst we waited for our meal to be served. One other thing that was quite noticeable was the size of the wine glasses, and the consistency of pours, for starters the wine glasses are considerably small for a restaurant and don’t represent value for money, the glasses had lip stick stains on them and looked dirty at best! With one glass 1/2 full while the other was 3/4 full. Overall felt there was no care for the customer, a distinct lack of pride in the workplace from staff was ever present, and waiting times that would make the blood of a patient person boil beyond belief, just a bad experience overall in the restaurant was had last night and do not intend on returning in the foreseeable future.More

I am baffled and saddened to see so many bad reviews! We went here early on a Sunday evening with family (plus my 9 month old) staff were welcoming on arrival and we were quickly seated and served. They fetched a high chair, and on...request even brought my baby some cucumber to gnaw on while we waited for mains. I’m a vegetarian and was pleased to see more than one vege option in most categories on the menu. I opted for the Pesto Gnocchi, and OH MY GOODNESS it was the best sauce I have had. I loved it. My family loved their meals as well (one ordered steak, another chicken) I would happily return here. Great food.More

My self and she who must be obeyed(sometimes) went here for breakfast last week, despite the fact we had book days in advance no table was ready for us(and we were on time), the young lady had to clear away old dishes from some one...else meal We ordered fresh juice(orange) and it was served in a large glass with ice, very nice it was .We both ordered the Fully Loaded Breakfast , it was not a long wait till it arrive, a big plate with eggs(scrambled),bacon, mushrooms Cacciatore sausage,Hash brown, fried tomato and homemade baked beans, served with ciabatta bread and butter.the Baked beans that were in a tomato salsa type sauce, not very nice at all, apart from the beans and the 3 people at the table next to us that would not get off the phones the whole time is was a nice mealMore

I went here for a Breakfast/Brunch with my wife and 2 friends and was very happy with the meals we received they were very plentiful but be prepared to wait while we were in no hurry for them it was a half-hour wait and it...was not all that busy. We also had a coffee and while a mistake was made in the order of the coffee they were very quick to resolve it. The staff was friendly and I will be returning hopefully sometime soon.More

Great coffee, good service, inviting menu, and well executed meals. We are usually here for brekky/brunch, and have been threatening to come for dinner, but just haven't got around to it. We must as the dinner menu looks really good. Great Pancakes, and traditional brekky.

Went there for breakfast. I had scrambled eggs on Ciabatta toast and my husband had the Cappadocia plate. Both meals were very tasty and in my opinion great value for money. Very generous servings and actually neither of us could finish the whole plate we...were given. I coujld not fault the food. The service was good and the meal came out fast. It was only 7.00am so not very busy at the time. My only complaint would be regarding plastic. They automatically gave a plastic straw with a drink we ordered and we were given butter in plastic packets. We saw the toast spreads were also plastic packets and customers who were seated being given coffee in takeaway cups. There are alternatives to these items and although it seems a small thing I would encourage management to explore other ways of serving things that do not require single use plastics. (ie serve the butter in a small dish)More

We stopped for coffee here yet again. This time, more of a family, as our son, a barista himself, joined us. My husband and I had an excellent couple of pasta dishes and followed this with coffee. Well, I’ve never had a bad coffee @...Rifos, because their people all seem to know how to drive that machine! All as good as usual. Reasonable prices. Prompt, polite service: recommended.More

And a excellent surprise. My friend and went without booking and though busy we got a table. The menu is not extensive but plenty to choose from. Was normally share an entree and decided on the Salt and Pepper Squid. Omg. The plate that we...got was HUGE. So much squid - yummy squid. Way too much and only $19. Brilliant value. They could halve that quantity and it would still be great value. Mains came and were just as delicious but we both struggled with our pasta due to being full from the entree. Great place on every levelMore

Have eaten here a few times now, we travel about 50mins to get here. Food is lovely and service is great, however the portions of the dishes are huge, I ordered Therezas chicken and it was just way too much, it doesn’t need to be...this big at all, was too overwhelming and I ended up not having dessert because I was just too full. Despite portion sizes everything is great here.More
