This is my new local! They serve such good coffee, they recently changed brands to a new award winner. Super smooth a creamy.
Great selection of food and fast and easy cabinet items. Freshly made muffins are my go to.
Super friendly staff as well!
We haven't eaten at this little café as yet, just stopped by a few times at the hole in the wall to order coffee.
We really like the taste of the coffee.
Service is quite slow through the hole in the wall so expect to...wait a little for your coffee.More
Nice spot on the corner, very kind and genuine staff, 3 places to eat - inside , outside the back w shelter and on the side street nature strip with an open latch to order coffees from the outside in. Food was delicious , definitely...made w love. Definite recommendation!More
This is the perfect venue for our group to meet after early morning exercise. The staff are friendly, take your orders quickly and have your coffees and food at the table after only a short wait. With a group of 12 - 15 people the...service is always excellent. There is a good choice of breakfast dishes and all are well presented and tasty. The pancakes and egg dishes are a highlight. There is seating both indoors and outside at the back which suits our group. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff from re-ordering to varying the menu dishes by fussy patrons. Prices are very reasonable and we find it easy to return time after time.More
I went to this place with a group of friends who are eating there regularly and now I know why - breakfast was super delicious, you can substitute different meals with mushrooms or hash browns for vegans, which is amazing (I had avocado heaven and...had mushrooms instead of eggs), the garden in the back is sooo relaxing, and staff is friendly and welcoming.
I will definitely go back ☺️More
Garden at the back was a perfect place to meet for coffee and breakfast. Only relatively small, but this cafe was well patronised on a Sunday morning. Poached eggs done exactly how I like them, coffee was so good I had a second. Staff were...friendly and efficient. Recommended.More
Worst cafe in Perth, maybe in Australia. We ordered coffee first, so we could look at the menu. The place was a third full and it took over half an hour to get out two coffees and a juice. The juice was nice, they clearly...know how to shove fruit through a juicer. That will be the only positive comment in this review. When the coffee came, we tried to order, but had to go back to the counter, where the staff barely acknowledged us and had to come back and ask exactly what we ordered again. They managed to avoid scalding the milk by serving it about room temperature, but the cheap beans gave it a taste of garbage anyway. Fortunately, it was extremely weak, so I couldn't taste the beans much and managed to finish it. The food took over an hour. I got eggs Benedict, the most basic of cafe breakfast staples. It came with three slices of bread (ciabata from coles), stacked up six inches high so it fell all over the table as soon as it was touched. There was about half a teaspoon of holandaise, so it was hard to say what that tasted like, as most of it went on the table - what I got was a a little note of dirt, maybe the aftertaste of the coffee. Everything was stone cold and the eggs were boiled to rubber. There was some dirty tasting mescal mix off to the side, also out of a coles salad bag, and some very slimy, off tasting ham, familiar from those coles $2 luncheon meat packs, which do go slimy if you keep them uncovered in the fridge. My partner got eggs on toast, again cold and over cooked and the 'toast' was the same slices of coles bread with no heat applied. Cold AND overcooked is a neat trick. I managed about two bites and asked the waiter to tell the kitchen, though I said I didn't want them to make it again because I didn't see it improving. The waiter didn't say anything, just grunted and took it. We stayed there another half hour having a Sunday morning chat, but no one offered a refund, another dish, or even an apology. No one in here cares what they are doing. Not only one of the worst meals I've ever paid for, one of the worst I've ever had, and well over priced. You can go to four or five of the best cafes in Perth two blocks in the other direction. But, if you're only choice is The Garden Cafe or going hungry, I'd seriously consider going hungry.More
