When you walk into Taqueria Ameca you are not greeted with a "Welcome". There are NOT any signs that tell a visitor walk up here and place your order. Nor is there a sign that says "sit where you like" or even "wait to be...seated" So if you are new to this Ameca location walk up to the counter and start your conversation - because you will be waiting forever other wise.More

I had been looking to find a place that served authentic tacos. After consulting with Google, I decided to go here. The best decision! Oh my goodness, the food was great (two sisters had tacos, one had carne asada and I had tostadas de camarón)....Everything was perfect. Will definitely go again.More

Food you should be eating here: Caldo pollo, caldo res, tacos de barbacoa, asada y pollo. Their food is very affordable and delicious. The guys behind the counter are polite and friendly.

Ameca's staff is very welcoming and happy to explain the options. You order at the counter and grab a seat. The tacos are made with freshly made delicious corn tortillas (a real treat) and there are several pork, beef and chicken options to choose from....There is a self service bar for the salsas and condiments. Most of the salsas are quite peppery so if you don't like it hot, stick to the salsa verde which is mild but also very tasty. Enchiladas, burritos, pozole, flautas and tostadas were also on the menu. If you are looking for tasty authentic Mexican fare which is super economical, this is the spot!More

This hole in the wall spot is great for authentic Mexican tacos on delicious hand made corn tortillas. Yes, they are small, but at only $1.50 each you can afford to try many kinds! Love the fresh bar with toppings, cut limes, and different types...of salsas, You will see 99% Mexicans eating here, so you know it's good food. It can get kind of loud and boistrous with the jukebox and all the kids running around, but like I said, an authentic experience so just go with the flow.More

What can I say except this was like eating from a food cart south of the border. You tell them what meat, they give you the taco (meat on a corn tortilla), and you soup it up yourself. The sauces were great, they have three...and I tried each of them, all were very good and the habenero was excellent. For those of you who know REAL tacos, you can get them here for $1.25 each, about a quarter less than moat places and much, much better than the fake Mexican restaraunts. They have other things too, burritos, etc, but I couldn't bring myself to order anything but the tacos, it had been so long since I had eaten excellent onea. Not a fancy place, the ambience isn't fake Mexican... It is like you are in a small place in Mexico or Southern Cali, having a snack or a meal. Topnotch!More

We were looking for a reasonably-priced restaurant while we were staying in Orlando and this place popped up on Google. We took a chance and drove out here. We were the only gringos in the place and nobody spoke English but us. But...it was amazing...food for a super great price and the staff is friendly. They do have a list of their offerings with the English translation beside some of the stuff so you can get by. I recommend this place.More
