I found this café online and decided to give it a try since it had good reviews and my mother wanted to eat cuban food. It was my birthday. It looked dirty and was empty but I trusted the good reviews again. Server was slow...as a snail and dropped the bottles of water we ordered on the table and left. No silverware. No glasses. No bread. I had a headache so I ordered a chicken soup. My husband ordered a grilled fish fillet and my mother the roasted pork. All simple orders. We were the only people there. The server passed by a couple of times without looking at us. After waiting for almost an hour I asked the server why it was taking so long and she replied: " it's always like that." So I decided to pay for the drinks and left that horrible and dirty place with the worst service in my whole life.More

Ordered a steak sandwich w/ fries, orange juice, and a large café con Leche. It is after I sign the merchant copy of the receipt that I am informed the sandwich will be 25 minutes. I started watching YOUTUBE videos and did not realize that...35 minutes had gone by with no food or drinks. I stand up, go back to the counter and she apparently remembers that I am still waiting for my sandwich. 5 minutes later she gives me the sandwich and no fries. She tells me the fries are next. While waiting for fries and drinks, I bite into the steak sandwich to discover that it consists of a slice of ham and 5 slices of steak- ums. Not actually palomilla steak and onions as expected, the taste was awful. The fries arrive 5 minutes later at which time I reminded her that I had no drinks. 5 more minutes later I received the OJ. After finishing my fries (which were ok) I had enough of the place. As I was walking out, I informed her that I had yet to receive the coffee I paid for, she had a shocked look. I did not wait for the coffee, I left. I will NOT be coming back.More

We ordered the medianoche and the Cuban sandwich plates. Also ordered beef empanadas and plantains with my plate but they were out of both at 2 in the afternoon. Been craving plantanos forever but guess I'll have to wait longer since I don't live in...Fla. We're ended up with chicken empanadas instead which were great and you can temp are home made. Might give it another go in another yearMore

We wanted authentic Cuban cuisine and that is exactly what we received. The Paella was so delicious and flavorful! The plantain chips were a good appetizer as well. Our server was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this place! I hope to go there again.

Good food but service is horrible. They charged my friends credit card an extra $14.00 and nobody knew how to refund the amount, they wanted proof of the charge having produced the ticket themselves minutes earlier, finally wanted all of my friends card information and...a phone number to call later.. what??? It would have been so simple to return the $14 from the register. I guess the 3 ladies were too inept.More

For your traditional Cuban cafe I was disappointed the food did not have more flare. The food was good, but a bit on the bland side. The server was amazingly nice however understaffed and we had to wait and ask for water refills, our bill,...and a reminder that our card needed to be charged so that we could leave.More

My friend and I sought out Havana Bistro because we had heard good things and were not disappointed! My friend was born in Havana and knows Cuban food. The menu was extensive but not expensive and the taste was amazing and authentic. The owners were...both there ... and also in charge of food preparation, which says a lot about ensuring quality cooking and hospitable service. We had deep friend pork, shredded pork, tostones, rice and plantains. The portions were large and we got go bags, but couldn't resist the great desserts in the bakery section. My friend opted for the vanilla flan (out of several flavors) and I chose a guava pastry. The selection was excellent. I can't say enough about Havana Bistro. It was clean, had ample parking in front and is n a safe location. This is a not-to-be-missed nugget in Orlando.More
