First and foremost, a big thank you to my bartender/waiter John Steve, he made my experience here very welcoming. John Steve first asked me about my allergens (a huge plus since I am allergic to tree nuts and fish/seafood), then went over the drink and food menu with me as it was my first time eating at Pollos Y Jarras.
I have had Peruvian food before but I felt that I learned so much about Peruvian cuisine from John Steve. He made me the best cocktail I have ever had. The cocktail’s main liquor was Pisco, a Peruvian brandy, and was minty yet sweet. The specific cocktail I ordered was Pisco Mar Wanpu cocktail. Truly one of the best cocktails I have ever had from any bar. John Steve outdid himself again.
I was given a complimentary sample of the Aguadito de Pollo soup and I could have ate a bathtub full of it. So full of flavor with cilantro, rice and soft shredded chicken.
The menu is very robust and prices range from $10 to $50. I kept it simple with my entree of a shredded chicken sandwich with a homemade dipping sauce from Peru and a side of fries. I would have licked the dipping sauce clean if I wasn’t in public. Even the French fries tasted better than your average run of the mill fries!
The overall atmosphere is relaxed, with an open kitchen area and a bar toward the back. Pollos Y Jarras is tucked on a side street in downtown Miami by the Bayside Market. It’s a bit of a hole in the wall but the small space gives way to amazing Peruvian food and drinks.
Thank you again John Steve for being so thoughtful and making my dining experience memorable!

Thank you so much for another delicious Pollos y Jarros experience. We travel from NYC and this restaurant is a must hidden gem for us whenever we are in town. They take special care to ensure that our son (with a life threatening food allergy to sesame) enjoys a delicious dinner with no risk. The food is absolutely delicious, the rotisserie chicken, steak, corn, rice & salad is our favorite. Do not miss out- RUN HERE and try it.

Great smile, great comments, courteous and respectful.
Great to have this restaurant open again.

Visited in January 2020 with 3 others, none of us had any idea about most of the dishes so the waitress Michelle was amazing and recommended various dishes to each of us. All of our dishes were fantastic, the portions were large and everything was delicious. Really love the soup starter that Michelle brought our group. Will definitely return next time I'm in Miami!

Came to Miami for a work trip covering the Super Bowl. We were here for nine days, and stayed at a hotel right around the corner from Pollos & Jarras. We went there for lunch one day---and I went back two more times during our stay. The food is just that good.
Carlos, our server, was wonderful and attentive. He explained all of the dishes we had questions about, and made some great suggestions on what to try. I would definitely recommend "The Rico" (I think it was called) appetizer. It's chicken cracklings in a vinegar style sauce with tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. My mouth is watering just thinknig about it! I also LOVED the rotisserie chicken they had. The seasonings on it were like nothing I've had before, and was the reason I kept going back!
If you're in Miami, definitely check this place out.

Jenny was our server. From the beginning she made us feel at home and was attentive and responsive throughout our meal. The food was delicious 🤤 and the drinks superb as well. We had the Pituca (steak sandwich) and the rotisserie chicken. You can’t go wrong with Pollos & Jarras, excellent choice for a meal in downtown Miami. Thank you to Jenny and the whole hard-working staff.

Walking around downtown Miami we happened to spot this GREATPeruvian restaurant. We ate Causa and the Rotisserie Chicken at the recommendation of John Steve, who was our most professional and helpful waiter. The causa is incredible: Peruvian potato with a great sauce. The chicken is fresh and really tasty.
Highly recommend you visit and ask for John Steve to be your waiter!!

I wrote a review years ago and it was a negative one because the size of the chicken got reduced. this comment is the opposite. I LOVED this place, been going there since 2014 and sometimes I even go twice a week. in Peru its usual to get rotisserie chicken with fries, salad and inca kola.oh! and a bunch of sauces. they have the very best sauces for the chicken and everything its to die for. the price is very affordable, the value for the food is 100% recommendable and the managers are all very friendly and approachable. I am a frequent to that restaurant and loved this place!!! I forgot the names of the managers and servers ( I think Carlos is the server name I usually ask for, but at this moment I forgot).

I have been to Pollo&Jarras several times with my family. I have a 4y old boy and a1y old girl. The food is amazing and the service is awesome. The last time we went, Jenny, our waitresses went above and beyond. She was very efficient and friendly. Anyone that goes to restaurants with the Little ones know how valuable is having a good and fast service.
Our favorite dishes are the “Arroz Chaufa de carne de res”, the “1/2 Pollo asado” and the “Trilogia de Ceviches” from their sister restaurant Ceviche 105 (same owner... they share some dishes).

This place has the feeling of a family run business. A very large family. Service is remarkable and everyone is available to assist if needed. There’s a good energy there on the team.
Drinks: Pisco sour; Papa; Pisco Jito. All excellent.
Apps: We started with the chicken crackling (Take Rico) & the mixed ceviches (anconero). These were fantastic and perfect for the three of us - light eaters.
Entree: We split the 1/2 rotisserie chicken and the Churrasco Parrillera natural and destroyed both. The sides were excellent.
We closed with the Peruvian flan. Wow!

Grand opening in Lincoln rd with advertising of a week about a special free taste of chicken, we went there and, after waiting for 20min for a cup of water, they said they were out of the special free chicken! Which is weird considering that the chiken is the main dish of this restaurant. They attract people with a promotion that doesn't exist to make them buy other things. WHAT A SHAME.

I'm not sure why I am just getting around to writing a review but this has always been one of our mainstays for pollo a la brasa in Miami. The service is always welcoming and attentive and the food always delivers. This evening was our first trip back down since the re-opening and we were well attended to by Rafael. Any concern that we had about dining out during the pandemic was alleviated by the staff's strict adherence to guidelines and the ample ability to socially distance due to the low capacity. I would encourage anyone taking the appropriate precautions to come out and support this local favorite!

Pollo & Jarras is a neighborhood local gem tucked away in downtown Miami. The rotisserie chicken and authentic Peruvian food always brings its loyal customers back. Nicole, our most recent server provided a great experience suggesting a lomo saltado and pineapple arroz special. Always a great experience, will be back!

First off, I have to start with the service. From when we walked through the door, we were greeted with pure smiles and happy faces! Lizette was our server and really was a pleasure to be served by her! Really helpful and thoughtful in so many little ways! Checked up on us to make sure everything was to our liking, gave us house recommendations and went above and beyond in making sure the experience was nothing but extraordinary! The food was also really goood, alot of good peruvian staples as well as some interesting additions. Music was a bit interesting for the class of service and food but maybe thats suited to the Miami style radio music. But either way, that was rarely noticed amongst the outstanding service provided by Lizette! Truly wonderful to find service that rare that is truly genuine in Miami!!!
