I love the teriyaki rice bowls. I've had them several times and every time they're just as good as the last. I would highly recommend them.

My husband loves sushi, but I don’t, so this Japanese restaurant is a perfect solution for us. He’s adventurous and orders different sushi each time while I have the filet mignon. Something for everyone.

We had Sunday lunch here. The Service was friendly and efficient. My wife had one of the box lunches, I had the steak and scallops with fried rice. The food was delivered to the table in a very reasonable amount of time. We both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. I would definitely return to Yamato's again in the future. The food was very tasty and prepared perfectly. Price is fair and reasonable.

WHERE’s the Fish ???? The rolls were so small, P the grocery store has better sushi, the Tempera was very greasy, could not finish.. would not recommend !!!!

If people invited me, I would go again, but I would not request it myself. The food satisfied me and the staff was pleasant.

The food here was very good! Similar to a hibachi grill, only the cooking is done in the kitchen instead of at the table. The sushi wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was very good. The dinner entrees were well prepared, portions were very good and the price was very reasonable. Very family friendly, we went with our 4 toddlers and the waitstaff were very accomodating and pleasant. I would highly recommend the sukiyaki steak with fried rice. We have hesitated to eat here because the outside is rather unassuming, but it's worth the stop! We will be back!

Love their fried rice with pink sauce! Good chicken teriyaki(?) and steak. All meals with salad and soup. More than enough per serving - I always take some home. Good service!

The food was very good!
Service was very good
Atmosphere leaves allot to be desired.
If you want Japanese food...go just don't expect ambience.

The food is very good, service is good but the atmosphere is poor. Hopefully they will be successful enough to move to a better location. Only decent sushi place in Lake City.

We have passed Yamato's for many months without bothering to give it a try. Another couple asked us to dinner, and Yamato's was chosen as a new experience for all four of us. Our server was wonderfully attentive and pleasant. She was helpful and informative, as we selected our meals from the many choices on the menu. The salads, soups, stir fry vegetables, and fried rice were excellent. The salmon, shrimp, and chicken entrees were well prepared and delightfully good. Without exception we were all quite pleased with every part of our dinners. Additionally, the prices were very reasonable...particularly in light of the quality of our food. My wife and I are now kicking ourselves for not trying Yamato's much sooner.

We love this place more than any other. The food is extraordinarily great and fresh. I can't say enough about it, the sauces, sushi, hibachi, soup and salads are second to none. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I eat or do take out at least 3 or 4 times a month from this restaurant. Have never been disappointed in the quality of their food or service. Highly recommend them to everyone.

Yamato's is a family oriented environment with great service and even better food. The staff was excellent and timely, and the sushi was by far the best I have had. For a small town restaurant, they sure have good food.
