Rusty has changed for the worse! The Risotto was terrible and the rice was dry. My friend ordered a steak and wanted a baked potato as a side which is all separately priced. The baked potato was $31! That’s right $31 so we will NEVER...be back! c yaMore

Views | Chicken and Waffles | brunch Views - this place has one of the iconic views of Miami/brickle. We went for brunch on a Sunday, and it was amazing. We showed up at 1200 and had the perfect view of the brickle skyline, boats,...and south beach. You really can't beat this view on a sunny day. It was the ideal way to end our trip. Chicken and Waffles - I had the chicken and waffles. It was substantial but messy -- definitely, not a meal for a date or a business meeting. It is hard to eat because the bone is in. Therefore, you have to eat it by hand. I would probably try a different meal if I went back. Additionally, this meal is super popular. I ordered it at 1230 and received the last one for the day. So, be prepared to have a backup meal. Brunch - This is one of the sceney spots. The view is next level, and the food/price ratio is one of the best in the city. Therefore, it is extremely popular between 1000 - 1400 Saturdays and Sundays. Pro Tip - request a table on the patio to take advantage of the view and outdoors. Pro Tip - make a reservation two or more weeks out if you are doing a Saturday or Sunday Brunch. Pro Tip - they have valet, but it takes a minute to get your car. So, you probably want to uber out to the venue.More

I celebrated my birthday with my friends at the Rusty Pelican, and I must say that I absolutely loved this place. I was looking for a place with a nice view by the waterline and somehow came over it on Google Maps and loved the...reviews. I booked a table a day in advance, and on the day of our visit, I had to reschedule as we were running 30 minutes late. In my reservation, I mentioned that we wanted to be seated by the window or close to the waterline so that we could see the beautiful sunset from there. The host greeted us with a smile and offered us the option to choose whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. We chose a table by the window inside. Everything we tasted here was absolutely delicious. To my personal taste, I really enjoyed the scallops, the sea bass, and the birthday cake that was brought to me as a compliment from the chef. Our servant was polite, respectful and friendly. I highly recommend this place!More

This place is -definitely- a must-visit place for tourists. I’m not quite sure what’s the general word about The Rusty Pelican within locals, but as a visitor to Miami, just the view from this place is worth a visit and can’t wait to be back...again; and as a tip: aim at being there at sunset!!! Won’t regret it. Moving on to the dinner side of the story, the truth is The Rusty Pelican has some room for improvement, especially regarding service and cocktails. About the former, the amount of people seemed to overwhelm the staff’s capacity, driving waiters to feel distracted and uncoordinated. Whereas regarding the latter, and probably consequence of the same overwhelmed staff, cocktails’ taste did not match their look -by far!!! The food, on the other hand, was mostly on the very good tier. Being mostly seafood, it felt and tasted fresh and nicely cooked. Another tip here: don’t have the sushi; although fresh and colorful, the rice was not what you would call sushi’s best. And finally, about the atmosphere, probably more “energetic” than I’d like it to be.More

We sat for 15 mins with multiple staff serving all of the surrounding tables. I asked the host to check in with our server. Waitress serving table to left and right of us never spoke to us. After 10 more mins I noticed the same...waitress serving drinks to a table that just came in 3 or 4 mins ago. Of course we left and do not recommend. The upside is we had a nice free view of the water for 25 minutes.More

So the main thing about this restaurant is the panoramic view across the bay to downtown Miami, it's absolutely beautiful. We went for lunch on a weekday, and there were a lot of people sitting at outside tables and taking selfies of the view. We...ate indoors, which shares the same view. You can also watch countless boats and jet-skiers go by, so it's very pleasant. The restaurant is located at the back of a marina, so you drive across the causeway to Key Biscayne, then through a crowded and maze-like marina parking lot. The restaurant has tons of free parking though, so no issues. Inside, it's modern decor, large windows featuring the view. The menu is good, wine list is good. Service is usually good, but this time it was slow for some odd reason. I think our waitress had other duties. We were in no hurry, so it didn't matter, and she comped our dessert without us even mentioning it, which was super nice. The price is a little high, but not outrageous. If you're looking for a beautiful venue with good food, I'd definitely recommend this place, and I would return for sure.More

One of my first times going to Rusty Pelican was in 1986. Last night I went back after many times but for the first time in a long time. The place was packed and I was not looking forward to dealing with the crows (Boat...Show was in town). Our waitress, Valentina, was great as she made the experience wonderful. We were there nearly 3 hours and she never rushed us and was always availble to explain, offer advice and take care of all our needs. Great experience after all these years. Pleaseant, comfortable, easy in and out even though it was full. Thank you to management and Valentina.More

More about the view and not about the food. Everything was tasty but probably a better place to have a drink with a view instead of a full meal. Kind of overpriced.
