Neat place with a lot of cool stuff to look at. Service was a bit slow to start off. We sat at the bar which was totally empty and waited a bit before a server finally came. Owner mention the snow birds were slowing everything...down. Lol. The place wasn’t very busy but today service is more laid back then when I was a server in the 80’s. Our server finally came and she was then efficient the rest of our time there. Holy cow or should I say chicken, the wings we great and HUGH !!! Oysters were good for the price. Grouper sandwich, not worth the value, I would pass next time Beer was cold, the owners were sitting at the bar with take out food from another chicken establishment. They were friendly and nice conversation.More

I have been coming for years for what I would say is honest seafood served with fresh veggies. Should have stayed with what I know...today I ordered King Crab for $42.99. I assumed I'd receive one leg with a solid rope of meat, instead I...received a plate with a claw, 2 knuckles and the bottom part of a leg, there was no solid piece of meat anywhere. The waiter was great, went back to the kitchen, but what came out of the kitchen was a leg the size of snow crab. I am a crab eater, all kinds, probably the worst display ever. This item should be removed from their menu, or maybe they figure, lose a few tourists, no problem, too busy anyway. I try to support local year round, but PJs will probably not be in the rotation for a long while.More

Not impressed with the oysters this place is noted for. The rest of the entrees were ok. Prices compare with most places around here and the atmosphere is just ok.

While visiting Florida's Gulf coast, we were referred to PJ's. SO glad we went. This is a large dining venue...much larger than it appears from the road. We ate inside [they also had deck dining] and enjoyed the over-the-top nautical decor. We ordered two of...their 'Mixed Combo' offerings [@ $23], scallops and grouper for me, clams and scallops for her. Both excellent! ...and included sides. I got a cup of delicious clam chowder to kick things off. For a finish, we splurged and got a slice of rum cake [@ $6]. WHAT A TREAT! Total bill w/ tip: $71. We won't hesitate to return and try different menu items.More

Found PJ'S online and had to check it out. The food is fresh and we'll prepared. The service is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. Check it out!

PJ's Oyster Bar and Restaurant is not much to look at from the outside as it is hidden behind some retail shops and truly off the beaten path. However, once inside you know this is a special place. It is filled with wonderful artifacts from...bygone eras and several funny posters with clever messages for patrons. Even better, the menu is terrific with modest pricing and multiple menu items. We went for the oysters but everything else was wonderful too especially the seafood gumbo. They prepare the oysters in a variety of styles but we loved all the flavors we tried. The seared tuna was outstanding too. My only complaint, the mixed drink glasses were too small. Clearly this place caters to the beer drinking crowd as they had a huge selection of beers. Wine menu was really weak but that is apparently not a high demand item. Service was great, pricing was modest and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We will definitely return to PJ's on our next trip to St Pete Beach. Don't miss it !!More

We had a little bit of a wait but it was well worth it. The food and atmosphere was great. Server was quick and food came quick.

Good atmosphere. Had the fish tacos and they just didn’t do it for me. No sour cream and salsa with a fish taco. Wait staff was fantastic and the rest of our food was good. Great broccoli

What you get is what you pay for. Food is on point. Grandma who typical complains liked her shrimp scampi. Sat outdoor and got a bit smoky towards the end of our meal which was unexpected. There was an issue with one of the meals...but was quickly resolved. Bathroom was clean enough. Pictures posted are what the food appears to be.More

Hi there, As far as I know PJ’s is a one off family owned restaurant, Crabby Bill’s owns LuLu’s Oyster Bar (which was PJ’s original site) they moved across the road to bigger premises a few years ago.
