This is now my favorite PJ’s! I have visited the area many times over the years, and this restaurant is the best of the old-school campy casual style. The decor is cute and kitschy with sealife paintings and hanging wooden tshirts with sayings and beautiful table-tops hand-painted by a local great, Silas Beach. We love the gumbo here, spicy but not too spicy, an very flavorful. The grouper sandwiches are fresh and generous for a good price, $15 i think. We like the oysters rockefeller, too. This place uses the great recipes i remember from my first times at the location farther north on the beaches. Love it here!

While visiting Florida's Gulf coast, we were referred to PJ's. SO glad we went. This is a large dining venue...much larger than it appears from the road. We ate inside [they also had deck dining] and enjoyed the over-the-top nautical decor. We ordered two of their 'Mixed Combo' offerings [@ $23], scallops and grouper for me, clams and scallops for her. Both excellent! ...and included sides. I got a cup of delicious clam chowder to kick things off. For a finish, we splurged and got a slice of rum cake [@ $6]. WHAT A TREAT! Total bill w/ tip: $71. We won't hesitate to return and try different menu items.

It was just okay. We went on a Saturday night and it was okay but nothing out of this world special. We decided to just have an appetizer of oysters and a drink and call it good after waiting 20 minutes outside in the cold with a lot of smokers.. The prices were a little high and nothing on the menu really seemed like comfort food. We walked across the parking lot to the restaurant in the hotel which was really good. I will say the waitress we had was very nice though.

I have been coming for years for what I would say is honest seafood served with fresh veggies. Should have stayed with what I know...today I ordered King Crab for $42.99. I assumed I'd receive one leg with a solid rope of meat, instead I received a plate with a claw, 2 knuckles and the bottom part of a leg, there was no solid piece of meat anywhere. The waiter was great, went back to the kitchen, but what came out of the kitchen was a leg the size of snow crab. I am a crab eater, all kinds, probably the worst display ever. This item should be removed from their menu, or maybe they figure, lose a few tourists, no problem, too busy anyway. I try to support local year round, but PJs will probably not be in the rotation for a long while.

Our sister-in-law was visiting from Ohio and wanted seafood, so we headed to highly-recommended PJ’s Oyster Bar. We arrived at 5:00 and didn’t have to wait to be seated, but the patio was nearly full. Three of our party ordered fish (mahi/grouper/crab cake); I ordered a rib eye sandwich. The fish came perfectly cooked and hot/eating temperature; the fries and my sandwich did not. Our server did bring hot fries when she was told they were cold, but I ate my sandwich cold. I have to say that the rib eye tasted really good, and the homemade chips were a nice choice (but cold). We needed to flag down our server to pay, but she had a large party as well as her normal tables. All in all, an ok experience.

It was very good the first time, consistent the second, so why not come a third time (in 6 nights - lol). Loved the variety platter (can't remember what is was called, but you get to choose 2-3 entree items with 2 sides). Well prepared and great value! The crab cakes are AMAZING, the salads generously sized, and the peel and eat shrimp perfectly cooked! Nice staff too: Annie the bartender, and Megan the waitress!

Wasn’t impressed at all. The mahi tacos were the most unappealing display of food I’ve seen in quite a while. Very skimpy on the fish considering the amount of money I was charged. Couldn’t even put the sour cream in a cup.

When we get company in from out of state, we usually take them to PJ's for dinner. The food is very good and it is always consistent. The red seafood Gumbo is the best on the beach. Loaded with all kinds of fish and seafood. The smoked fish spread is great and the hot Peel and eat shrimp are a favorite. My wife loves the grouper sandwiches and all the meals are very good. They have great baked potatoes and the Fries are seasoned and very tasty. The bartenders are friendly and they have lots of classic American beers like Pabst Blue Ribbon, Rolling Rock and Miller High Life, as well as craft beers and cocktails.

Neat place with a lot of cool stuff to look at. Service was a bit slow to start off. We sat at the bar which was totally empty and waited a bit before a server finally came. Owner mention the snow birds were slowing everything down. Lol. The place wasn’t very busy but today service is more laid back then when I was a server in the 80’s. Our server finally came and she was then efficient the rest of our time there. Holy cow or should I say chicken, the wings we great and HUGH !!! Oysters were good for the price. Grouper sandwich, not worth the value, I would pass next time Beer was cold, the owners were sitting at the bar with take out food from another chicken establishment. They were friendly and nice conversation.

This is the only restaurant I have been to that does not take food allergies seriously. While at the restaurant I was very specific about the allergy and the wait staff checked multiple times with the kitchen about certain ingredients. After getting sick, I placed a call to the manager to make sure they do a better job with food allergies. The woman that answered the phone completely blew me off and the manager never called back.

The Indian Rocks location of PJ’s is a good and solid option for visiting families. The selection is good for every taste, and the food is better than average than most seafood places of this type. We enjoyed our two visits!

The 8oz. lobster tail is wonderful for one eater, and the joint is really jumping with lines waiting to get in. Better get here by 5:30 for sure. Every desert is mouth watering, this time I had the PB Pie to die for!

I eat lunch here several times of month and only disappointed once due to the wait staff forgetting my side of mayo and refill until I finished my meal. But again it was once in probably 50 visits.not only good local seafood but their wings and burgers are good too. Love their grouper nuggets and lightly breaded fish sandwich. The have homemade coleslaw which is one of my favorites as well. I recommend the fish spread for an appetizer. The have outdoor covered seating as well as indoor. The bar offers yummy frozen concoctions to match the jimmy buffet atmosphere. Live music on outdoor deck some weekends.

We absolutely love PJs and visit there at least two times every visit. This year is different, but we still wanted PJs so we did carry out. When we picked the order up there was not one person wearing a mask. I know you can't make customers wear masks, but at least staff should wear masks. I know that is a hardship, but so is being asymptomatic for covid and possibly passing that along to staff and customers. We love PJs but this was really disappointing especially as cases rise in the state of Florida

This looked like a fun place, and the food had pretty good reviews. It’s seafood, we figured you couldn’t go wrong on the gulf. The hostess was lovely, but the server was terrible. She was inattentive at best. We had calamari that was pretty good, but the entrees and drinks were barely edible. Blacked grouper, fried oysters, grilled shrimp, broccoli, and rice. We had a few bites of each and couldn’t finish it. It was expensive and horrible.
