Mancora Ceviche is a very good purveyor of Peruvian-style ceviche. We stopped by for lunch while overnighting in Fort Lauderdale en route home. Stefano was our bartender, waiter, server, etc., and he did a great job. He explained the in and outs of Peruvian-style ceviche,...as well as the Peruvian-style cocktails offered. We started with a same bowl of delicious roasted Peruvian corn nuts, very crunchy, tasty, more of a woody taste than corn. We also ordered a couple of Peruvian (pisco sour) cocktails, one original and one passion fruit. Both were good... but, for round two, we shared a loco coco, a coconut cocktail, featuring creme of coconut, lime, amaretto, blue curacao, vodka, and pineapple juice. Sweet, but good and refreshing! At Stefano's suggestion, we ordered the 305 Sampler, which included three ceviches (original, yellow spice, red spice), three causas (a potato based dish), and three choritos a la chalacas (mussels with pico de gallo). Check out the pic! All the food was good, but our favorites were the red and yellow spicy cheviches. All the ceviches were FULL of seafood, shrimp, mussels, calamari, fish, etc., very ample portions of everything. The potato dishes were good, with toppings of tuna, chicken and salmon, we liked the salmon the best. The "spoonfull" of mussels were good, all the veggies were super fresh. All the seafood was super fresh as well. We did not order it, but I got a good pic of the Trilogy of Ceviche, which was three martini glasses full of the ceviches and a plate full of fried seafood (called jalea). It looked great. Cannot personally vouch for the dish, but I'd order it if I am ever back that way again! Recommend you stop by Mancora Ceviche for a Peruvian spin on a classic Caribbean dish!More

Fantastic food. Amazing exotic cocktails. Just off the main drag. Prices a fraction of the touristic restaurants nearby. Mostly local customers and only a few tourists. Only annoying thing is the mandatory 18% service charge. I would have probably given more but I don’t like...that mandatory aspect. Seems to be common in this area to preempt the foreign tourists who don’t tipMore

Everything was top quality and authentic. Had the passion fruit pisco sour and was delish! The anticucho as starter was lean, well cooked as it should be, but juicy, and so tasty! It was not on a skewer. Thank you. Was accompanied by 2 slices...of “papas doradas” and a yellow sauce rich in texture and so flavorful. Outstanding. The other appetizer, “papa a la huancaina” potato in cheese sauce, very good as well. The entree, lomito saltado (sauteed filet mignon) on point as well. All generous portions. Excellent service. Excellent location, with public parking across the street, 1/4 block fro las Olas and 1/2 block from the beach. We went on a thursday night for an early dinner. Not many people. This place should be packed, it’s that good, and prices are quite competitive. Higly recommend it and will gomagain.More

Avoid this place. No respect for customers. Called to confirm they were open as they do not take reservations; we arrive and they lock all doors and decide to close early; with diners inside at 7.30 PM! What a crazy way to run a business....I give this place 6 months max before it closes. Maybe that's too generous.More

Why go to an overpriced restaurant on the Fort Lauderdale strip when you can go to Mancora? Excellent cuisine and genuine lightning fast service. We loved the fish ceviche, tuna causa and grilled octopus. Our 11 year-old son enjoyed the chicken Chaufa (fried rice). Quality...ingredients and tasty peruvien cuisine. Their drinks are also impeccable: pisco sour and chilcano hit the spot after a day at the beach. It was quiet both times we went, a relaxing retreat from the craziness of the strip half a block away. Don’t let the quietness fool you: it’s amazing value. What are you waiting for!!!More

Close to the beach just off Las Olas. For awhile I was the only person inside, which is usually cause for some concern. But it was a Monday night. The service was excellent (it should have been with only one diner). Extensive menu for Peruvian...drinks and food. Addictive canchas (crunchy Peruvian corn kernels) came as a free appetizer. Ceviche mixto was excellent and more than I could finish. Would recommend.More

I searched for seafood restaurants around the area and this place came highly recommended on the reviews. When we arrived Sunday around 3 pm there were only 2 occupied tables (first sign) but we wanted to give it a try since the reviews spoke highly...and we were already there We ordered a Pisco Sour and a Mango drink They were terrible, worst pisco sour I have ever drank. Along came the appetizers “Choros a la chalaca” mussels in a corn salsa they were ok but had too much onions on top, Octopus olivo - menu reads: sashimi sliced octopus instead it was chunks of octopus but taste was ok, lots of potatoes though. We didn’t go through with trying anything else so left unsatisfied.More

We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking around Ft Lauderdale, and once we read the menu we had to give it a try! Our server (Roland, I believe) was extremely friendly and helpful. Having no experience with Peruvian food, we asked for his recommendations. He...suggested we order the Anticuchos (grilled beef heart) and Pulpito A La Parrilla (grill octopus), and we were not disappointed! Highly recommend this restaurant to any adventurous eaters in the Ft Lauderdale Beach area!More

My family came over from Boston and they wanted to eat Peruvian, we tried Mancora Coral Springs before and we liked it. Decided to try the new location at Las Olas in Ft. Lauderdale. Best decision ever. Everything was delicious, the drinks were amazing and...the service A+ We had a long walk thru the boardwalk after dinner. Highly recommend visiting Mancora.More

Found this hidden jem after walking up from my hotel. Great Peruvian food! Excellent flavor and good size portions. Prices are extremely reasonable. The chicken chaufa was $9. Can’t find these prices in the NY/CT area. Very friendly staff!
