Le Clos has implemented Florida Statute, requiring all restaurants to immediately limit occupancy to 50% of its current allowed Building Occupancy. Further, we insure, at minimum, a 6’ distance between any group of Patron’s and to limit Individual Parties to no more than 10 individuals. We will be using our outside garden area-as weather permits- maintaining the same 6’ required distance between Patrons. Located in Fernandina's Historic District since 1996, Le Clos serves delicious Provençal dishes by candlelight in a charming, intimate 1906 cottage. This is a very nice, small restaurant, holding a couple of dozen diners. It was chosen for us by family who live in the area, as they said it was their favorite Amelia Island place. We ordered two entrees, a Parmesan-crusted grouper and steak au...poivre. The fish, a special, was especially good, accompanied by some very good spinach, carrots, and mashed potatoes. The steak came with frites and the carrots and spinach and was likewise very tasty. I judge it great food at a reasonable price and worthy of a visit.More

Great little French style restaurant on Amelia Island. Food was very scrumptious. There was a bit of a wait for our entrees but the appetizer, entree, and desserts were amazing. We will definitely visit again.

The restaurant wasn’t what I expected since it was supposed to be a French restaurant. Very small with tropical decor. The food was really good though. Escargot was piping hot and very flavorful. I had the meatloaf which was moist and delicious. My husband had...the duck breast that he enjoyed as well. Service was good. We were too full for dessert. I would go back again.More

Wonderful little restaurant. Really good service and the food was excellent. I had the grilled scallops and found them to be as good as I have ever had. Great wine list too. Highly recommended.

Reservations are a must at this quaint French restaurant. Service was friendly, but our food took quite a while to come out. Not that we were in a rush. It gave us time to enjoy our wine and the excellent bread. My husband had the...special - flounder with a citrus beurre blanc sauce. The fish was quite dry, hence only 4 stars and not 5. The duck was delicious and cooked exactly as ordered. The spinach was quite garlicky, but went well with the other veggies and protein on the plate. Mashed potatoes were dreamily smooth. The chocolate cake dessert is dense and moist. The vanilla ice cream was very refreshing, and the caramel sauce added the right amount of decadence.More

The service was top notch. The food was amazing and dining outdoors under the covered area with a garden setting was just perfect. We were visiting from out of town and had 11 people in our group. Only wish I lived closer to enjoy this...restaurant more. Highly recommend it.More

A thank you gift certificate gave us the idea to celebrate our 52nd wedding anniversary with friends at Le Clos. And via a hostess recommendation I made a reservation for a Thursday rather than the weekend AND at table 21 (a closely held secret). Both...setup the gourmet meal perfectly. The wine list offers carefully selected offerings not found elsewhere and a great start while perusing the menu and indulging on French baguette bread with whipped butter (2nd servings a must). Shared Caesar salads were individually prepared in the kitchen picture perfect with a unique anchovy dressing. Our entrees included traditional duck in filets, a French meatloaf and a fresh flounder. All excellent! Desserts included perfect creme brûlée and homemade vanilla ice cream with warm caramel toppings although our friends also wanted the chocolate cake but wouldn’t share the ice cream. Ashley & Co. made sure our special occasion was one to remember and hope to repeat in the near future!More

This was my husband's choice for our anniversary dinner. What an excellent choice he made. The staff couldn't have been more professional and friendly. The food - where to begin? Classic French prepared by a classically trained chef. The happy anniversary card on our table...was much appreciated.More

Le Clos is a relatively small restaurant in downtown. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The food was very good.....fresh and well prepared. My only complaint was that they charged for iced tea by the glass (and they had no sweet tea)......really! Our...server was very good.More

This place was the common top spot when I asked about where to dine. Nice quaint cottage, we are inside but there is patio seating but none available when I reserved. You need a reservation! Great French food. I had oddly meatloaf! It was beef...and duck, it was amazing and a tad lighter than traditional meatloaf. Good wine selection too as well as desserts but were too full.More
