This is my new favorite Italian restaurant even if I do have to drive 2 1/2 hours to get there. We went for an early dinner without reservations and were very happy to be seated at the bar. Our friends ordered escargot for an appetizer,...not my cup of tea, but they literally licked the bowl. The bread was yummy with a garlicky dipping oil. Our friend had the lamb shanks, which he raves about. My girlfriend and I shared the veal parmigiana- my favorite meal for just about me whole life - and this is my new favorite. My husband loves the sausage pasta. The service was friendly and inviting. I can’t wait to get back to Clearwater for my new favorite Italian restaurant!More
Wife and I tried this and very glad we did. Authentic Italian food. Portions were very generous and the service was pretty good. Extremely friendly staff. This is not a busy time of year for them so no issues getting a table and the restaurant...was never that busy. March and April they say is a different story. They do take reservations do that helps. We would definitely returnMore
While in Clearwater for a conference we made reservations here for dinner. I had the special of shrimp & scallops with vodka sauce. It was fantastic and worth every penny. The waitress was very friendly and attentive
On our semi annual girls trip to Clearwater we decided to go try Forlinis for dinner. The restaurant was pretty empty and the hostess gave us a nice greeting when we came in. After being greeted by the waitress and being instructed by her that...their antiquated computer systems had no way of dividing checks, she suggested that we either split the check 7 ways via credit cards or throw in cash to pay at the completion of our meal. We asked if she could please give us each single checks (some wanted wine, some don’t drink) so each bill would be way different and didn’t want an even split. We decided we would take it upon ourselves to figure each ones bill at the end of the meal. We knew that 20% gratuity would be added ahead of time so that was expected. After each of us getting our own totals with tax and gratuity we wrote out our individual totals to be run on each separate card for 5 of us and the other two had their cash counted and ready. We handed it off with our note of each card and the amount to be charged. Several minutes later our now rather snarky server returned then saying the math didn’t add up. We informed her that she had not taken the cash when she first removed the bill and our cards. So she left again to work on it with her manager. She then came back now with individual bills, that were supposedly not possible an hour ago. They were not all correct and she told us we still owed more money. My friend is in finance and believe me when I say out math was spot on. We gave her again our credit cards and cash and when she returned she wrote in our credit card tip spots her own tip amount based on the 20% for large tables but it was more than we were originally told. At this point we were so incredibly aggravated and wanted to leave we just cut our losses and signed and left. To the owner of this establishment, not that you care but we will never set foot in this place again. My friend has a home in Clearwater and is in the area frequently so this isn’t just a tourist coming on occasion, they are members of this community, locals will be hearing this tale. Lastly you may want to update your computer systems, keeping things that so obviously don’t work for what could be coming through your door is just bad management. I myself am a small business owner and my little place can divide bills and pay separately through squareMore
First time I was here, and it was very good. We enjoyed the food and the service was very good We will definitely go back next time we are in town.
I thought this restaurant was related in some way to Forlini's in NYC which recently closed after over 50 years of great service. We went for dinner the other night about 5:30 and the restaurant was NOT crowded yet we waited 20 minutes for a...waiter to even acknowledge us and a total of 30 mins before we got our first drink. The service was terrible for a non crowded restaurant. The food was just ok, very limited menu and the prices were NYC prices. I wouldn't go back.More
Perhaps this is a nice place…however the lady at the front is extremely negative. We called to make a reservation for a family of 4 at 8:30pm. After a good 25 min wait, when asked if she had a table for us, we were told...to leave if we did not want to wait, while there were at least 3 tables fully ready. When asked if she was kicking us out she said no but that is exactly what she did :) We ended up next door at Bob Heilmans which was a much better place experience. Very classic example of how one person can ruin the whole establishment. if they had the will, i am sure they would have made it work. Sitting us and serving is water we would have easily waited hours.More
Great dinner on 9/16/2022 with my friend. The owner Shannon is amazing, food was amazing and our server Bobbie was amazing! The house dressing is to die for and wish that I had the recipe. We loved it there and I hope to visit this...place again someday. The lamb chops and chicken piccata were amazing. Thank you for your service. Cathie and KarenMore
From the food to the service to the ambiance, it hits on ALL cylinders! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great Italian food experience! We had veal piccata that you could cut with your fork, spaghetti with huge meatballs that was delicious, to...seafood pasta and lamb shank, everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly! Would go back anytime we are in Clearwater Beach.More
I paid $70 for a horrible meal I could have ordered from Costco and the ravioli would have been better. The bread was the only thing good So disappointing
Walking along Mandalay Ave...we stumbled upon Forlini's. Didn't have a reservation but they were able to work us in. SOOOOO good! Glad we had a drink at the bar and waitied. It was worth it! Started with the Mussels ... delish and had the Scallops...Sinatra for dinner. Great waiter. Just delicious food!More
I love Italian food! We had the Penne Bolognese and Scallops Sinatra. The food was good, but I have had better. The service was very good. The food was good, but there are so many choices in the area that we won't be back.
We were looking for some authentic Italian food while on vacation, and we found it. The restaurant was nicely decorated. We were greeted by a friendly face. We got a nice quiet table. Our waiter took his time to explain the menu and detail portion...sizes. They had an extensive wine selection. They brought out fresh baked rolls with an oil infused with herbs and Parmesan. Delicious! We got the Caprese Salad, Caesar Salad, Lasagna, Penne Alfredo, Baked Ravioli, and Gnocchi. It was all delicious. Rich flavors and quality ingredients. We highly recommend this place next time you are in Clearwater! Good for families, or a romantic night out.More
We recently had a group dinner at Forlini's and it was some of the best Italian food I have had in ages!. The antipasto was a perfect combination of cheese, meat and veg. The chicken parmesan was tender and tasted "homemade" - fantastic and fresh...The bread was very tasty and is freshly made on site. Finally, there are few words to describe how amazingly delicious the tiramisu was, simply the best I have ever had. The service was friendly, efficient and very accommodating to special requests. I am still remembering how good this meal was days later. Well done!More
