We loved everything about it, except the salad that was served as an appetizer.
We were seated quickly and placed our drink orders. We came for the Hibachi and our friends asked for their favorite cook and we were accommodated; it took a little while, but we did not mind at all. The soup was great, the salad, so-so.
We had steak, filet, shrimp, tuna, salmon and lobster between the four of us and everything, including the fried rice and veggies, was great and we all took leftovers home.
The entertainment that went with the experience was awesome!
The décor inside is great and the restrooms were very clean!
Beside the Hibachi they also have a Sushi Bar available.
Parking is a bit tight.
We'll go back when we are in cape Coral again!

We love this place. It has the best sushi, hibachi & service. It is very nice since the complete remodelling 3 years ago. There is a dining area in the middle with 2 areas with 4 hibachi tables at the left & right sides. Most patrons go for the hibachi. Our favorite is the Love Boat ($45) which has about 48 pieces of sushi & sashimi. It comes with 2 soups & salads. There is plenty to fill you up. We usually have leftovers for a lunch the next day. They also have groupons for $30 which cost $20. We like this location better than the Ft. Myers one.

We dine here every few months and love the updated decor and lighting. The chefs are entertaining and do not seem bored or disinterested with being there, which is so common in the hibachi places around town. Staff are welcoming and the food is really great and fresh from the sushi to the hibachi entrees.

We have been going to Kuno for past 10 years
usually when family visits
from out of state and the experience has always been very good and entertaining. Tonight it was terrible the cook said nothing to anyone at the tabke my wife tried to engage him in conversation and he said nothing no tricks with the food no smiles no laughter which we were used to. The food was below par. We had the filet and lobster the filet was supposed to be medium rare , it was well done with very little taste. The 2 sauces were very bland. As a side issue $3.95 for a domestic light beer is ridiculous. I will not be returning. Charlie Schroeder

We usually go here 5-6 times a year during the season and get our favorite, the Love Boat. This time we brought 6 of our neighbors for Hibachi. We had a great Hibachi Chef, don't remember his name but he was from Indonesia. He never missed a beat. He started out with a huge flame and had a sparkling flame for a birthday person at our table. We had Salmon, Tuna, Steak, Scallops, Shrimps & Chicken. All were great. There was a mountain of fried rice. They gave lots of Tuna & rice. We had enough for another snack at home. The tuna was rare and lots of it. The salmon was tender and tasty as the Scallops, Chicken & Steak. We definitely love this place!

Went to Kumo for dinner with several friends and we all raved about the food, atmosphere and service. The Hibachi Grill show was lots of fun and the food was delicious. The atmosphere is very comfortable and warm. We all enjoyed our food and look forward to coming back. As a bonus, the prices were super reasonable.

We made another trip to Florida in the same area Cape Coral. We decided to try the Kumo Japanese steakhouse again. Again, the food is good. Just nothing great. There was a cook at one of the hibachi tables who was very entertaining. He had the whole hibachi area, singing along with him singing. One of the better hibachi entertainment cooks I have ever seen. I did not get his name. I wish I did The restaurant is probably worth a try if you like hibachi.
Note of caution::
If you read the menu. In the hibachi section, it states four (4) or more people is 18% gratuity. Sometimes that could takeout the good service knowing guaranteed 18%.
When you get your bill the 18% is added to the bill. However, be cautious because in the gratuity section for a credit card payment, there is still a space for gratuity. If you do not review your bill, you can pay the gratuity twice easily.

Went to this Kumo's for the first time. Been to others too. The atmosphere is good, the service was good and of course the show is good. I did have two problems. First of all, I had ordered the Sonomono which is chicken, steak and shrimp. The cook read it wrong and thought it was sea bass. I thought he was playing around when he said I had sea bass but alas. Anyway I ate it and it was good. The other thing was that my wife ordered the Seafood Deluxe which was scallops, shrimp and lobster. The shrimp and lobster both were chewy and rubbery. But other than those two things, Kumo was a nice experience.

We frequent this restaurant and we either do the hibachi table or sit at a table and order off the menu. Either way we have a great experience. The food is fantastic and the service is very good. When you do the hibachi table you get a fun cook and plenty of food.

They make you a ton of rice! Very good, decorations/interior needs a serious upgrade. Time for a remodel. Cooks are amazing and fun. Food was good... dinging off 1 star for décor and too much rice, would have like to seen a little more protein instead of so much rice. Also offer up free ice cream at the end like your competition does. Overall it tasted great, I'd easily go back no question!

Every time we visit Cape Coral at least a couple of our meals are at Kumo Restaurant. Just the best Hibatchi Restaurant I have ever visited. We have taken to sitting at a regular table instead of having the 'full experience' as we have seen the show a million times, but if you haven't then you should! Fillet and Shrimp Combo is my goto order and is always amazing! Cooked perfectly and consistently great. I will be back on my next trip...

Family of five for hibachi. Fast to seat us. I ordered a sushi roll and it was huge, great deal for the price. It tasted fabulous. We all loved the hibachi experience and it tasted great.

My friend invited us, and was glad she did.
Food was excellent and so were the drinks. We had a hibachi table, chef kept it fun.
Only negative was wait time from when we sat down to time chef came. After 45 min we had to ask then about 10 min later they came.
I would def return.

Stopped at steakhouse while on vacation in Florida. Found Kumo as it was close to where we were staying. Typical Hibachi nothing special. Our chef was good, kept us entertained while he was cooking. Food was good but nothing great. Prices little high for some items.
