Stopped in the Monkey Farm during one of recent snow storms at 4P and the place was full. Neither of us had been inside in over 20 years and were pleasantly surprised. Our early dinner was excellent. The seafood bisque was creamy and full of...More

I'andm a figure model, and was taking a between-classes break from posing at Lyme Academy, just across the river from Monkey Farm. This is a very homey and laid-back restaurant with a Cheers ambiance and a delicious-looking menu. I splurged on the lobster roll...very good.

Fantastic place for drinks, food or both. The corned beef Reuben is just delicious, as are the burgers. The fries look too light, but they are wonderful- crispy outside, fluffy inside.

We went to Monkey Farm on Saturday. A 'typical' cafe with good food, friendly staff and a neat atmosphere. Not your normal "BIKER BAR". Food was great, the seafood bisque was awesome as was the French Onion soup. We had the Roastbeef sandwich and the...More

My new must have when I visit Old Saybrook, Ct is a hot buttered lobster roll from the Monkey Farm. This looks like a big old white farm house and nothing special. We have only dined on the porch as it has always too full in...More
