Opened in 1982 as a little taco shop, and now a full service Mexican restaurant with catering and food truck services. We are a corner stone in our neighborhood in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport. Check out our website for our happy hour and dinner menus. A little pricey for the neighborhood, but the food is good.

The high tables set up in the inside dining area are a little off-putting, but the food and service was good. The owner is a great host and engages you in conversation so the time spent waiting for your meal passes quickly. Both my son and I only had the fajitas, so I can't speak to the full menu, but what we had was quite good... if a little pricey.

Food was good drinks were a bit expensive. Service was prompt. Dinner for three of us was on the high side for Mexican fare!

We recently decided to give the place a try again since our last visit was many years ago. We were seated promptly, the place on a Sat. night was almost empty. The waitress was efficient and accommodating. We ordered margaritas and sangria but they seemed to have forgotten to put the alcohol in both...we couldn’t taste it at all. We started our meal with the free chips and salsa they brought to the table...yum...so good and an order of guacamole. The guacamole was also delicious! I ordered a chicken enchilada plate...bad choice! Not appetizing in appearance or taste. Dry chicken, bland enchilada, dried up looking spanish rice and dried up looking black beans. Two of the others in our party ordered a bowl of some sort which they said was pretty good and one other person in our party of four ordered a pork dish that looked terribly greasy and over-cooked and the rice & beans the same as in my dinner...dried up as if they had been sitting out a very long time. Needless to say, we won’t go back. Yuck! A big disappointment! Too many other Mexican restaurants around now to settle for this.

Terrible customer service for catering and truck rental

No return phone call. No return email. Because they were busy they just simply took someone else's deposit for the date we confirmed with them. They just gave our party date away even though commitment was made. We would not have found out unless we called to check in. Terrible

Late Dinner, Great Service.

Went to this restaurant late, but the owners and crew were very accommodating... even though it was the end of their day. Great attitude and great food means I'll be going back.

A Pleasant Revisit

We haven't been here for a while .. in the past there was always crowded and a long wait for a table. We decided to have an early dinner and we were seated by the owner who was very friendly and nice ... he even joked about our early arrival. My dinner was outstanding. Soft beef tacos (with a surprise of a slice of plantain in each taco), refried beans and rice. My wife had a chimichanga, it was tasty but filling. Service was outstanding, our waitress was friendly and spot on. It was nice to see that the owner held a mini birthday party for a 92 year old frequent solo diner ... this showed us why this restaurant has succeeded for so many years!

I will never set foot back in there! We sat at the bar and SHOCKINGLY and on PURPOSE WE WERE NEVER SERVED! They only cater to the OWN KIND. BEWARE! BEWARE!

Awful Service, we walked out...

Awful service. Went in on Sunday, 7/22/18, right about 6:30. Not too busy, but there a few tables being taken care of. A bald headed man seated us. We sat for 10 mins and watched 2 tables seated after us get drinks and chips. No one came to our table and asked us if we wanted anything, we were not acknowledge at all. We walked out and went down the street to the Spoke and Hub.

Awesome Mexican food

We were really in the mood for great tasting Mexican food and we’re sure glad that we ate here. I had three chicken tacos and my wife had a rice and chicken dish. Everything was delicious. We ate in the outdoor section and it was nice having a meal outside. It’s hard to miss this place as it’s right in a major road in its own corner.

Haven't been in about 10 year...won't go back for another 10

This used to be THE place for mexican food. First time taking my daughter there and was excited to share the experience, unfortunately, it lacked in many area. First, we went on a Sunday afternoon and there were only 2 other tables outside. It took forever to get our drinks and even longer just to get chips and salsa. However, our meals arrived just after the drinks and chips. Would have liked some time to enjoy our drinks and the chips before eating. I ordered the nachos and substituted chicken for an extra $2. There had to be less than an ounce of chicken on the whole platter! And on top of that, it really lacked cheese! So disappointed, wish we had gone to Little Goose for Sidetrack nachos. My daughter ordered ground beef tacos. The tacos were good but they were served with 5 yucca fries which totally lacked flavor and about 1 ounce of flavorless slaw. On top of everything, our server was awful, such a disappointment. Also, when we walked out and I took a look at the menu on the wall, I discovered that they overcharged us $3 for the taco platter. However, I'd recommend them for drinks!

I was expecting more of this place from reading some reviews. The salsa for the nachos was like water. The food looked reheated. The place is nice and good to have some beers. My only complaint is the food and I hope they fix it.

Terrible Service

Staff is quick to seat you, but takes 15 minutes for a waitress to greet you for a drink order...had to ask for chips and salsa! Server literally rolled his eyes when asked for more salsa. Hair found in margarita! Never will return!!

Service is good but he tacoswere cold

The service and the atmosphere is good. We order the 10 taco to share and the tortillas we're old and cold. The rack they use to place the tacos is too cold . Tacos must be warm and with good soft corn tortillas. Avocado salad is a green salad with avocado. The lime dressing was really good
