I've searched far and wide in CT - Darien, Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk and Westport - for a good spot for butter chicken. A dish that isn't sweet and has a certain smokiness.
Tasty Halal's version wont compare to what you'd get in Delhi, but it's the first iteration that has been edible. My issue with it was that the curry was quite thin and so I'm not sure if I was eating a freshly made butter chicken or a watered down one made a day or two earlier. I did finish the full container...
The chicken seekh kebabs were pretty good too, as was the goat curry. Chicken Biryani was not bad and the bhindi was good.
Not the cleanest of spots. I would definitely suggest takeout rather than a sit down.
Rating relative to the other spots around here make this a solid 4. I will visit again.
