Michele and I dropped in for a late breakfast after shopping at nearby Sierra. She had eggs with grilled brook trout and I hab corned beef hash eggs Benedict. Both were superb. Prices are reasonable, the portions generous and the service excellent.

I had a perfect dining experience today. The host was smiling and friendly and I was seated immediately. The waitress was welcoming and friendly, too, and kept my coffee cup full. I ordered a 2 egg omelet with Colorado chili on the side instead of on top of the eggs. Everything was perfectly cooked and came out hot and fresh. They even had my favorite orange marmalade.

A very nice breakfast Cafe. There was around a 20 minute wait to be seated and we accepted the counter seating, which was much nicer than it sounds.
The menu has a diverse selection with reasonable prices and generous servings.
The wife & I both had the same, cornbeef hash & eggs. The hash was grilled and well seasoned, the eggs perfectly cooked and the toast was crunchy, just like we like it.
Sitting at the counter offered the opportunity to meet some new friends and the staff behind the counter were friendly & attentive.
I highly reccomend & certainly will eat here again.

This was the exact kind of place that I was looking for. Somewhere I could still get breakfast after sleeping in. The menu had plenty of selections. The service was slow and inattentive. The eggs benedict were tasty, though there was way too much hollandaise sauce (and that's hard to do as I like my sauce). The hash browns were cold.

We both chose the trout and eggs which was well prepared and tasty. The ample piece of trout had a bit of spice to it which was good. It was a busy place at noon but they texted us when they had an opening which was only a 5 minute wait. The waitress was engaging and practically ran from table to kitchen. Very friendly. It seemed like there were a lot of repeat customers.

Locally run and deliciously served. Friendly staff, attentive that allow you to eat and converse and enjoy your meal. Coffee was timely refilled, food came out quickly and well presented. Everything was absolutely delicious. Texture is the conductor of flavor and the caramelized onions and bell peppers were delicious in the 2 egg "lighter" side omelett. It was all so good -- definitely recommend this place. Freshly baked goods were on tap as well -- the rye toast was yummy! Very clean restaurant -- from the floors to the tables to the restrooms. What more can you ask for? Family friendly.

My wife and I saw all of the great reviews and thought we were going to get a great breakfast. When we walked in the hostess could barely acknowledge us. We ordered our meal with hash browns and both of our order came out with barely cooked white not browned on top like they are supposed to be, I sent my wife’s back and ask if they could cook them a little more and brown them hence the name hash browns. They threw them in a deep fat fryer and brought my wife shoestring potatoes, I showed the waitress the picture from their website when she said I don’t know what else you want us to do. We won’t be back.

Food was good, just wish it was hot when it reached the table. This was on a Friday morning about 0930 hours. Not busy, but the hollandaise sauce had a dried skim layer on top and the ham was cold on the English muffin.

We are in town for a convention and was looking for breakfast. This looked like the spot. We got there right at opening time and got in line with the rest of the folks there. Well first off our first impression was from the rude hostess demanding names and phone numbers with no explanation as to why. I understand there are covid rules and what not, but in a resort town where a lot of customers are not from here and familiar with those rules a simple explanation and a smile goes a long ways. We were seated and the waiter came over super nice young man. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs and my wife got the eggs benedict and hashbrowns. We got our food and mine was good and had no issues. Now my wife's and for whatever reason had like a bowl of nacho cheddar cheese dripping all over everything. It actually ruined a pretty good dish. A little bit is one thing, but this was a ton of cheese. She scrapped most of it off and went ahead and ate the dish as it was almost $12. Overall our experience was average, take away the rude hostess and the excessive cheese and it would have been a "good" experience.

We arrived at the restaurant about 1:00 PM and found it fairly busy/crowded. We expected to have a lengthy wait but were pleasantly surprised when we were seated after only waiting about 5 minutes.
Our coffee was brought out and orders taken within minutes of being seated. We waited about ten minutes for our food and when it arrived the portions were huge!
Both dishes were delicious; breakfast burrito and salmon/eggs and it was difficult to eat everything but we soldiered on.
Our server was attentive and kept the coffee cups full and stopped by a few times to ask about our meal.

Friendly and accommodating, the Sunshine Cafe has a substantial menu and is a great choice for brunch. I’d recommend the omelette which came with a freshly toasted English muffin, topped with avocado and green chilli. Staff helpful and engaging. A good choice travelling through Silverthorne on the I-70

I looked up trip advisors recommendations for the area so that’s how I found this gem.
Kevin was very helpful and made great suggestions
I had the veggie burrito and added eggs, my friend had the Huevos Rancheros with both red and green chili sauce. We were both extremely pleased. Delicious!
Great conversation with a local, we sat at the breakfast bar.
Would return if ever back in town!

The item on the menu I ordered was the Vegetarian Breakfast Burrito.
When it came I tasted it and I found it to be absolutely inedible.
There was nothing in the description that indicated that it would be 5 alarm spicey hot. The food probably tasted good at some point but it was smothered with chili sauce that left only the sensation of sering pain.
The description on the menu should have read ;Spicy, Extra HOT Chili Burrito ... so that those of us who want to taste the food and not just have a painful breakfast may be warned.
Even the hash browns were spicey hot to the max. I could not eat more than two forkfulls before I drank all the water at the table and my juice.
As I was unable to eat it I was not charged . I would not have paid for it if I was.
This was not a pleasant dining experience.
The waiter offered to bring me something else but by then the person I was dining with had almost finished so I declined. She had the Huevos ranchero and she commented that she was sweating from the spiciness of the food but she ate it anyway and got sick from it by the time we got home.
Be warned that anything you order here is going to be spicy to the max without any warnings on the menu about it.

After an overnight in Dilon, my husband and I were starving for breakfast. Service was great and food hit the spot. My husband had the traditional eggs Benedict and I had the French toast and more with 2 eggs and ham. Everything was great and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

We picked this spot for a family breakfast because it was large enough to hold our group and none of the breakfast places in this area allowed for reservations. They were welcoming and gracious and our server was excellent. And the food was good all of the way around. We'll definitely stop here again the next time we are in the area.
