This spot is family friendly and great for solo travelers. We had the southwest tacos and the hot tempura fried chicken with sweet potato fries. It hit the spot. Bonus double rainbows during the dinner hour.

This is our “go to” restaurant and bar - where ALL THE STAFF always seem genuinely delighted to see us. Wine and beer selections are brilliant, as are the tacos and other appetizers we enjoy. This is a wonderful relatively “fresh face” in Silverthorne, and we love it!!

My friend and I came in for margaritas and appetizers, we sat at the bar and were blessed with one of the best bartenders in Summit County. Kelly absolutely killed it! The drinks came out in a quick fashion, soon followed by the fresh and hot food. 10/10 recommend, great atmosphere too.

Food was average at best. Fries were cold. Server was overworked taking on far too many tables than someone should. When the bill came a random appetiser had been added to our bill to be told it was someone else’s check….umm no you tried to make money out of us. Nice atmosphere/vibe though

Kucu had such great promise. Beautiful space, lovely location. The food has been inconsistent since they opened and unfortunately keeps declining. We've had to send back raw pork chop (literally raw) and the service can be hit or miss. But a recent dinner was just so bad across the board I don't think we'll be able to return. Service was very slow but only because only one young woman, who was working so hard, was serving the whole room. No manager onsite. The food was way below what we have seen here in the past. Had to send back a completely wilted salad, the tacos were shriveled and missing key ingredients. Many diners were silently staring at their plates and sending items back. I wish this place had worked out their growing pains, but they have not. While well priced, a meal for three people was nearly $200 and too many items were inedible.

I'm sorry for your recent experience dining with us. We are just now coming out of the slow shoulder season up here and are working to staff up for summer. You clearly caught us on a night where we had an unexpected rush and weren't fully staffed to accommodate it. I apologize for that, we're ready going into this weekend now that summer is in full swing. I hope you'll give us another chance!

My husband and I ordered an omelet to split. For $14, they slapped the omelet on a very pretty plate and that was it; no garnish, no salsa, no breakfast potatoes, no fruit. We tried to order a side of hash browns for $3, but they had run out and the chef was leaving for the day. So we ordered a side of toast for $4, which came as 1 buttered slice; no jam or jelly. What an overpriced excuse for an entree. We won’t return.

HORRIBLE food, great service. When I order a 16 ounce, $48 ribeye, I expect more than this place is willing to provide. First of all, my cut was in no way, shape, or form, a ribeye. Secondly, I ordered it medium rare. What I got, was an extremely well done piece of meat that looked and tasted like it had been gut shot and suffered a slow painful death. The first few bites were gristle.. not the juicy, marbled ribeye flavor you'd expect from a ribeye. Also, ot was about 1/4" to 3/8" thick. My wife suffered through her flank steak best she could. Was not tenderize, and was also extremely overcooked. They ONLY have sweet potatoes, for their fries AND mashed potatoes. 🤮. Two things I can't stand are cilantro and sweet potatoes. I couldn't find a dish that didn't have one or the other. They're selling as a "southwest" grill. Just because you over use cilantro on every single dish, doesn't make you "southwest".

It's unfortunate that you didn't enjoy your meal with us more. I'm sorry that your steak wasn't to your liking and I hope that your server was able to remedy that for you with a different dish that was more to your liking. As far as the sweet potatoes are concerned, we are substituting in regular potatoes for sweet potatoes now due to requests like yours. So we appreciate your feedback, it will help us better sculpt our menu to meet our guests needs.

Stayed at the hotel in early September, went here for dinner before our event. Bartender took our order but then ignored us completely for the rest of the time when there were only 5-6 people sitting at the bar. Ordered the tuna poke lettuce wraps - note, if your poke is BROWN colored it is probably not the freshest. Got one bite down and the taste matched the visual. Romaine lettuce was yellow and wilting, like nobody even looked at the plate on its way out. Guess that's why the bartender didn't even ask us how any of the food was. Chicken wings were ok - sauce seemed home made which was decent. Cactus fries were ok but weird and got soggy after they cooled down. Weird experience.

I normally do not post receives, but because this is a pricy restaurant, I’m hoping to either save someone the experience or help the owners/managers make the experience better.
The food was mediocre at best, the service was terrible, everyone seemed overwhelmed.At one point we got up and picked up the water pitcher to serve ourselves. We ended up cancelling our bar order bc we never received it during the meal.
I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt that perhaps they are working thru the kinks due to newness and perhaps finding staff is difficult. But until they do, don’t charge $18 for a tiny cocktail mostly containing ice, and don’t fill every table so it looks as though the servers are running around aimlessly.

We ordered three taco’s and the chicken with mango chutney. The chicken was overcooked and really dry. The side dishes had no flavour. The taco’s were too oily and did not taste great. The venue was beautiful, but the food.. really disappointing.

Recently opened, from the Sauce on the Blue folks, this is a great addition to the area. Higher line drink and food in a nice setting in the Indigo Hotel. We had the Taco's and Deb's lime shrimp (Deb is the owner and commonly seen at Sauce across the street). Both were great. They have a number of Buffalo items as Kucu is an old indigenous word for buffalo. We went for happy hour and an early dinner. The bar is very cool with shelves all the way up to a high ceiling, and an old sliding library ladder used to reach the higher shelves.
Know before you go that as a new place it took some time to get our server, but thereafter the pace was fine. The group has other restaurants, so I expect they will iron out the system. We did find it a bit noisy with glass/walls reflecting sound. Check out their menu before you go to ponder the choices as they are not standard Summit Bar items. There is a free parking structure west (or behind) the Hotel.

Ordered two tacos and the shrimp appetizer. The tacos were excellent. I didn't care much for the sauce used on the shrimp, but that was a personal preference - the shrimp were cooked perfectly and otherwise delicious. Kelly was an excellent bartender, friendly and attentive. I also found this to be one of the more affordable places in Silverthorne's touristy district.

Great evening (started with Happy Hour) with a pitcher of margaritas! Delish! Isaac is a great server. He was patient and professional, yet such a great personality! Husband and I shared a salad (good sized) and an entree since we weren’t all that hungry- fajitas were delish and prepared perfectly! All in comfort of lighted patio and fire pit ambience. Highly recommended!

My husband and I live locally and decided to go out instead of cooking. Kucu was offering a buffet with all the traditional holiday dishes, so we went there. All of the food was over the top excellent! All was kept fresh looking and tasting which is hard for a buffet. I think I had the best stuffing in my life! The potatos, cranberry sauce and the lemon dressing were fabulous and gourmet tasting. The turkey was juicy and the beef was excellent. Our winter spritzer drink was festive and tasty too. We left in a food coma! Great job Kucu chefs! The service was great as well!

Kelly is absolutely amazing, makes the best cocktails and the best old fashion in the state of Colorado!! It was sweet that a guy stopped over while we were sitting at the bar and he told Kelly thst he was 74 years old and said the old fashion. She made him was the best he had ever had!!❤️
