They were obviously short-staffed and every table was full. Our lunch must have been ready for a while before the staff delivered it as it was cold. The knives also were blunt. It could have been a lovely meal had it been hot.
Our meals here are always very nice, well presented and the service is prompt.
An observation we would make is the size of the Serviettes - they are very small, and are often as good as useless. The costs associated with the provision of these...would not be greatly increased, were they to be upgraded to a size and quality, which would more relate to the standard one expects with a restaurant of this class.
Perhaps we order the wrong meals??More
Stopped in after a LONG walk. Cafe set in beautiful grounds. Very popular spot.
I needed a drink and wanted an iced coffee. Apparently it doesn’t come with whipped cream. 🤷♀️. So I had an iced latte. Same thing then really. Milk, ice and a...shot of coffee ...
come on guys. Buy tinned whipped cream then.
Surely you serve your cakes with a side of cream.
Other than that. All good. Service can be alittle slow but it is busyMore
Went to lunch with some friends. Has a reasonable size menu with a good variety to cover all tastes. The 4 of us had different meals and we were all extremely pleased; the meals were delicious and generous. Staff were very attentive and the meals...prompt. A big thankyou to Emily for her awesome service & (genuine) friendliness. Recommend & return...... AbsolutelyMore
I have eaten at Lewers quite a few times in small and large groups and have always been slightly disappointed. On 2 occasions i had to send my meal back either because it was under cooked or inedible. Whilst the venue is lovely, i think...the food needs some serious consideration. It could be amazing but unfortunately for me it isnt. Havent been backMore
Cafe at Lewers is one of my favourite and one of the very best cafes, in the Penrith/Blue Mountains region. The menu is varied, delicious, reasonably priced, uses locally sourced ingredients and never disappoints! One of those places you are always excited to introduce family...and friends to and one of Emu Plains’ best kept secrets!More
Popped in to see the Warrick Fuller exhibition... decided to have lunch. Quite busy venue but we scored a small table. Lovely covered veranda with a view to the garden.
Got menus and water quickly. Had to ask to get our order taken , but...once done, the drinks were served promptly and food shortly after..
My cauliflower fritters were delicious and the iced coffee very nice ( although I do like a squirt of whipped cream with an iced coffee or chocolate)
All in all, a very pleasant day . The exhibit was fabulous, the gardens beautiful and despite the signs, did not see the snake.
Nice little gift shop too.More
Lunch on a Monday........
Cafe at Lewers was fully booked and its not difficult to see why.........
The staff are all extremely polite and very helpful; the coffee was hot and a
delicious taste ; the choice of lunch time dishes was very diverse. There...was a
smashed avo on sourdough, a salmon and cream cheese bruschetta; a cauliflower dish for the vegetarian and chicken nuggets for the little one.
Presentation and portion size of the dishes was excellent and pleasing to the taste buds as well.More
