Authentic Food Thai in Fort Collins

Cafe de Bangkok is a standout among Fort Collins’ Thai restaurants. Having spent several months in Thailand, I recognize the nuances that make each dish feel truly authentic. The menu here is extensive, and I’m always excited to try something new. The Panang Curry has quickly become a favorite—its creamy coconut base, fragrant kaffir lime leaves, and just the right amount of heat capture the unique balance of Thai flavors. Another must-try is the Khao Soi, a northern-style curry noodle packed with aromatic spices and topped with crispy noodles for a delightful crunch. Portions are generous, and the staff is exceedingly helpful in suggesting spice levels for every palate. Even when the place is buzzing, service remains friendly and attentive. The comfortable, no-frills ambiance pairs well with the fresh, lively flavors.

Fast take out with a great food

Great food! I've eaten here twice and sat outside both times so can't say anything about the atmosphere inside, but the food is very tasty, the presentation is well done and the servings are generous. Great service, very friendly servers.

Not worth the drive

This restaurant use to be exceptional, but that was a long time ago. Tonight the drunken noodles were tasteless and stuck together in one starchy ball. The pineapple rice was merely tasteless rice with a few chunks of pineapple and overcooked chicken. My husband's comment was, "it must have been leftover food from lunch". Not worth the trip to pick it up. Too bad, it use to be the bomb.

pad thai - good flavor, mostly noodles with tofu

there's nothing else in this but noodles and tofu. Teeny tiny bits of ...egg? No vegetables that i can tell. Oh, there's a bean sprout! I won't be ordering again.

Absolutely Dreadful

Lotta rice, cool water. The panang curry was watery and poorly spiced. If this restaurant wasn't close to the university, I wonder how many would put up with the slow service and mediocre food? No soup or egg roll with lunch, but people kept drifting in, and some even took doggie boxes, so maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. Simply Thai is closed on Sundays, but the greasy haired guy sitting out front suggested Cafe de Bangkok, and we tried it. NEVER again, tho. Too many other decent places that we can enjoy. Servers are pleasant if poorly trained -- no check back and thus, the tips can't be that great, either.

Warm greeting and server. Excellent food. Eggplant with basil and shrimp is a must. Yellow curry and green curry great. Want to try everything on the menu! Parking is tough. Large portions and good prices.

Expanded and delicious

Every time I'm in Fort Collins (I've been every other summer five times now), I make sure to stop by here for some quality Thai food. Not only is the usual pad thai and pad see ew delicious, the papaya salad is great, the green curry is great, the service is great...and they expanded the space since the last time I was here so the space was great! You can choose your level of spiciness - my group found the mild/medium to not be spicy at all. So go at your pace and be adventurous!

Good Thai food.

Went there for dinner after work for dinner. The interior wasn’t any special although the ladies serving the food were friendly and some of them really nice. I ordered Roasted duck bun, Tom Yum Gai, and Red Curry Pork. All of these were nicely made.

Lives up to it’s reputation. Delicious and great prices and service. Parking is difficult, but don’t let that prevent you from going. The Thai eggplant was wonderful as was the yellow and green curry. A keeper.

Good food, bad service

The food is undeniably very good. However, when you have to wait 45 minutes to get a check, you are left with a bad taste in your mouth. For a full house, they only had 1 served and 1 runner on staff. Unacceptable, especially on something like Mother’s Day.

Delicious food with lots of vegetables

I was glad to find vegetables in a brown sauce. It was delicious though their medium spice rating was spicier than medium spice I have had at other Thai restaurants. My husband had shrimp with red curry sauce that he enjoyed. Our friends had coconut soup and an eggplant dish they were very happy with as well. Good Thai.

One of my all time favorite Thai restaurants in Fort Collins! Food is usually great (depends on who is in the kitchen that day) most days it's awesome. Try a Thai Iced Tea with some spicy creamy tom yum goong soup. So good. My boyfriend and I usually do takeout. If you do takeout, be sure to specify that you would like utensils (chop sticks, spoon & fork, etc.) they get quite busy for dinner time on most nights since the locals typically order takeout and it's so close to the university. They do not take reservations for small parties, so expect to wait on busy nights for a table. It is worth the wait! They did remodel a year or two back so their dining room is much bigger than it used to be. I highly recommend.

BEST THAI IN TOWN

I dont even know how many times I've been to this place, it's just so good!! I usually have their traditional Pad Thai, and it never let's me down. I do have to say that last time I ordered Fried Rice and was not impressed by the amount of chicken in it. However, it was delicious!!
