OMG! This is the best Italian restaurant I have found since I lived in San Francisco in the 60's and 70's. Taste of Tuscany is a family owned restaurant with family members working in the kitchen and on the floor. Everything is prepared fresh, right...there. I had the veal parmesan. It came with a generous salad and bread sticks. (This was actually more like a small cheese flatbread cut into strips) More than enough food. And it was only $22 for everything. I added a nice chianti and an amazing light desert called Lemoncello Mascarpone Cake: A rich combination of Sicilian lemon-infused sponge cake and Italian mascarpone. Topped with European white chocolate curls. Too bad I found this on my last night in town. I could have eaten here, lunch and dinner, for at least a week.More

Jessica thank you for taking such great care of us last night. What a wonderful dinner with our children and grandson. My husband is Italian and we were very please with everything we all ordered. From the Calzone (a must that could have feed 2...hungry people) to the antipasti salad, and everything in between. When I asked Jessica what isn't made from scratch all she could come up with is the olives. Thank you Tripadvisor for this recommendation. We'll be back.More

This is not my Mom’s stuffed bell pepper. Imagine a large red bell pepper quartered, roasted, then topped with delicious meat marinara sauce, cheeses, and then sent through the oven again. This comes with either cheesy bread or a dinner salad. I always go for...the salad, and am full after eating half the stuffed bell pepper. It’s delicious served for lunch the next day, reheated over a skillet full of spinach. They recently hired a new chef, and along with chef/owner Jeremy Price, have added a tantalizing new twist to their menu. Also highly recommend the rolled lasagna. Muscles are a new addition I am looking forward to trying. Drop in for lunch, you won’t be disappointed with the new lunch menu. By far, our favorite local restaurant.More

After years of driving by, we dropped in for dinner. I was aware that Taste of Tuscany has a fair amount of good reviews, and was looking forward to the visit. It's hard to express our disappointment. Let's begin with ambience. There is none. This...is strip mall basic, nothing to suggest either Tuscan ambience or even basic cleanliness. Meh. We ordered entrees and were told our cheesy breadsticks would soon arrive. What actually came was nondescript flatbread covered in second-rate cheese. Even the menu says bread sticks. Thanks to a small bowl of marinara sauce, the flat bread pizza was edible. In the end it became the best part of the meal. I ordered Rolled Lasagna, and expected something rolled up. What I got was totally flat and enrobed in too much marinara. Two big flat pieces, so no complaint on quantity. I could only get through one of the pieces, though. Meh, again. The other piece is in my fridge, hoping someone really hungry will nuke it soon. As lasagna goes, maybe a 3 on a 10 scale. Our other entree was shrimp alfredo. The shrimp were good. The rest was unremarkable. The alfredo sauce was two turns too thick. More than half of it came home and is now talking to the rolled lasagna about the microwave. To be fair, the service was very good. When the bill came, however, whew, $50 with tip for this second-rate experience. Our first visit will be our last. Macaroni Grill and Il Fornaio, even Spaghetti Factory, here we come again for genuinely distinctive Italian, including the ambience, at around the same price.More

Solid Italian. It's not Biba's but it's very good, tasty and consistant. Every once in awhile you just gotta have some stick to your bones, tasty, Italian. This is the place for that.

We went to this place as a large group, 3 couples and 2 young kids in high chairs. The staff were very attentive and there was a corner of toys/coloring pages/crayons for the kiddos. Our drinks were brought right away. The food came out soon...after we ordered and it was piping hot and delicious! You get an amazing amount of food for your money here--one family size dish easily feeds 2 very hungry people and it comes with 2 sides of cheesy garlic bread with dipping sauces. 2 family size dishes and 1 calzone fed us all with ample leftovers. I wish we lived closer so we could eat here more often!More

Was really famished so I went in to grab a quick bite so I thought. The aromas as you step in the door are so capitulating you just can’t wait to sink your teeth into your order. After having a drink of an Arnold Palmer...tea, I ordered a paste dish with all kinds of freshness called Da Vinci's Best Pasta. The roasted chicken, smoked bacon and Roma tomatoes were sauteed in a creamy Alfredo sauce and served on a bed of linguini. It was served to garlic breadsticks. Try this dish or others, you won’t be disappointed. Bin Appetit!More

We have eaten here for just over three years and they are consistently great. Sometimes we even order lightly enough to get desert, but usually too full or have to use the to go box. This place has good Italian food (liked their pizza) but...we don't eat much pizza, so judge it on everything else, excelent staff, Mmm good, it is fairly close to the Home Depot location at the border of Roseville, Antelope and Citrus Heights. Near the RR tracks where the bombs went off in the 60's.More
