The atmosphere was nice. You are eating outside with plants and birds chirping around in the background. Nice patio setting. Parrots are near by yes parrots so that was neat. The serving of beans and rice is like they took a spoon and just put the spoonful on your plate. That was it. It all tasted good but very very pricey plates for the amount doesnt equate. The service was very very slow my sister timed it, it took 45 minutes for them to bring our food. We had to keep getting the waiters attention to refill our drinks. Sadly I would not recommend the visit.

It was just ok. I have wanted to eat here for YEARS. I finally booked a reseevation for my son's 22nd birthday this past Saturday. It was just ok. I was required to pay $100 deposit to change our reservation from party of 6 to party of 8. Seemed quite steep. This is not LA LA Land for goodness sake!
The location was in direct sun at 530pm. They knew the time of the reservation for 2 weeks. They know the position of the sun and how it will be. They could have put us in a more pleasant seating area. I know because I walked around and determined exactly how they could have.. easily in fact.
The margaritas were ok. Very small for $18 and not much alcohol. The food was average to fair...nothing was worth the price paid. 8 people. Each had 1 margarita, some of us had 2. Fajitas, burritos, fish tacos and enchiladas. Bill was almost $500. I know prices are high. I know that prices of everything are at a premium at the Mission Inn...but they could have at least comped my son's slice of cheesecake for the trouble of the fish tacos that were served in single, old, corn tortilla shells that kept crumbling before taking 1 bite. My dad sent his back 4 times...on the 4th they sent out corn tortillas so he had to dump the mess of the busted shell into them himself. I'm sorry.. are we at Denny's or Norm's all of a sudden? I don't recommend food here. Stop in to sit in a shady section for a margarita and check out the view. Bout it :( Pics are after they moved umbrellas around to try n shade our whole table.

Six of us met there for lunch as a midway point between Brentwood and Palm Desert. I found the setting as lovely as the garden setting for main Mission Inn restaurant and the Mexican food delicious. I ordered the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail, which was flavorful and loaded with shrimp and avocado. I shared it with my friend who ordered the salmon fish tacos, which were also delicious. My only criticism is that our server, Alexis, who was very responsive, did not remove the charge for my husband's dish, which was inedible. She did offer him a replacement choice, but he declined.

over priced $60+ PER MEAL for a party of 16 yet normal dinner price is shown as $25 to $35 per meal. That allows them to tack a MUCH larger gratuity onto a meal that's already priced over it's value. service was poor, much of the food was cold and lacked seasoning, it seemed like forever to get drinks and drink refills. There are a couple nicer restaurants in town and the food is better and served warm. Those are Del Taco and Taco Bell.

We had a terrible experience here.
I booked a special hotel package which included a $50 restaurant credit.
We didn't make a restaurant reservation as there was terrible traffic that evening and we didn't know when we would arrive.
Once we'd checked in we went down to Las Campanas and were refused a table by the imperious hostess. It was 70 minutes before closing time and there were empty tables but she told us we couldn't get a table that evening at all, even after we informed her we were guests at the hotel.
While walking down the street in search of another restaurant my companion got the idea to call the restaurant for a reservation. Sure enough, the person who answered the phone gave us a reservation for 8pm, so we walked back and told the hostess we had a reservation. The hostess got upset and said the person who answered the phone shouldn't have made the reservation, and she tried to refuse us a table. When my companion insisted on the reservation being honored, the hostess began to scold and lecture us, saying 'don't raise your voice at me, don't EVER raise your voice at me', apparently not noticing that she was the one raising her voice and being rude to us, the customers.
Long story short, we had our meal and will not be returning to the hotel or the restaurant. Who trained this hostess is what I'd like to know, and why does management allow this?

I have had a two terrible experiences. First time, I was told on phone that no reservation for birthday dinner was needed however, upon arriving was turned away because we had no reservation. Then yesterday, several friends and I went for lunch at about 3.00pm and were told to come back at 4:00. We walked around and then waited 30 minutes more only to be turned away because again we were told we didn't need a reservation. Lesson learned. I will stick with less expensive, authentic local Mexican restaurants like Tio's Tacos, Tina's and Olivias!

This is entirely an outdoor restaurant so it can be cold in the winter months, but being Riverside, we have 80 degree weather in the winter. The seating area is nice and the hotel is amazing, but the food is the star here. There are several great Mexican dishes available and you can get hooked on their chips and salsa. It’s good for couple or families. Lunch and dinner.

Had dinner here with a group of 8 people. The atmosphere at this place is amazing. Huge outdoor seating area. The person who waited on our table was attentive and made sure that we had what we wanted. It was busy, but we felt well taken care of. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend this place.

Enjoyed lunch on a beautiful day in their patio seating area. Our waitress was exceptional. Friendly, efficient and very attentive.
There were four of us and everyone was pleased with: fajitas, enchiladas, fish tacos and tostadas.
Great food in an exceptionally beautiful setting. Really one of a kind.

Had a 6:45pm dinner reservation. Upon checking in, was rudely informed that we would have to wait for a while as the restaurant was backed up. After waiting 15 minutes was told it would be another 30-40 minute wait despite having a 6:45pm reservation. Our server was initially good, but quickly ghosted our table after informing us the kitchen was backed up and our food order was going to take a while. Having to request water refills multiple times, our food finally arrived 40 minutes after ordering. Food was mediocre at best. Our server never checked on our food, offered drink refills or brought our check. We had to track down a different server to simply pay our tab. Would not recommend this restaurant for any outing. Inattentive staff and overpriced food.

My wife and her friend went to the restaurant after have a spa treatment. They ordered two appetizers which did not come for over an hour. That's crazy.
After being there a couple of hours, they needed to leave their server never came over with the bill. My wife had to repeatedly ask different servers for the bill as they had to leave.
They said the service was terrible and the food only fair, but expensive. Might be best to venture around the area for a different restaurant.

Food is expensive and mediocre. Beautiful ambiance is the only draw. Don’t waste your money and go elsewhere. $17 for a small flauta cut in half with no sides, $5 for “complimentary” chips and salsa. We left hungry after spending $230. Service is terrible.

Staying at the Mission Inn for a conference, and came here for dinner because of the beautiful outdoor seating! The chips and salsa are great, but for my fellow heat-junkies, ask them for the spicy salsa. You won’t be disappointed!!
Our waitress was Karina (with a K) and she was wonderful! Just the right amount of patience and fun. She was always there when we needed something, and her friendly attitude made the evening. Not to mention she brought me a grilled Serrano pepper, no questions asked. Thank you!
I had the chili verde, which was very delicious. My only criticism is the refried beans were dry. However, I mixed some of the spicy salsa in with the beans and … that’s fire dude, get some!

The atmosphere is fantastic. Beautiful outdoor seating with flowers, lights, heat lamps, you name it. The food/price was worth it for a nice night with friends. I will say though that not everyone liked the food; there is no shortage of Mexican cuisine in southern California so maybe it is fair to be a bit picky. I ordered the birria tacos and LOVED the meat. So juicy and tender. As for the rice, it was extremely dry and bland (didn't try the beans so who knows with that). So mixed bag.

The food and drinks were lack luster. I had the chicken tacos and my husband had the enchiladas, tasteless; my local fast food place is much better! The beans were slightly better than the rice; but I can make better at home.. We both had margarita's and those too, were bad. The help was pleasant enough, but I'm assuming they're short on staff.. Very disappointed in this restaurant.
