We had the Cobb salad-huge and full of flavor. Bacon boy-good and the onion rings were huge and had a corn batter taste, cheese burger-not that great, the fries were very crispy. My family is hard to please, but I enjoyed the fresh taste of the salad with ranch dressing.

Abysmal Communication and Lack of Caring from Farmer Boys Franchising Co. Guest Relations

This review is primarily regarding my experience with "Guest Relations" at Farmer Boys Franchising Co., which is next door to this location. "Guest Relations'" communication is abysmal, as they do not bother to acknowledge their guests by giving them the courtesy of providing a response, especially when it pertains to a negative experience at a Farmer Boys location (if they do respond, they make the resolution process difficult and convoluted by asking questions they already have the answers to). Given that "Guest Relations" did not deny Farmer Boys locations close early on Halloween night, it appears that Farmer Boys locations do in fact close early on Halloween night, which means Farmer Boys cares more about allowing employees to party than they care about serving hungry paying customers. Given my experience with Farmer Boys' "Guest Relations", I would highly not recommend Farmer Boys, especially this location, as it is most likely a model of Farmer Boys Franchising Co., since it is located next door. [The following is regarding an experience at the restaurant location itself on June 6, 2024.] I visited this location this afternoon. I could not locate a speaker for the drive-through, and, therefore, decided I need to go inside. I asked the person taking my order if they could dispense the drinks from behind the counter, as I have had an aversion to filling drinks from a soda fountain machine used by the public since the onset of the pandemic. I thought they were going to honor my request, however when I specified one of the drinks I wanted to order, they seemingly declined my request, as they said they would give me cups to fill the drinks myself. When I inquired with the person taking my order as to where the drive-through speaker is located, they indicated there is not one, and that anyone wanting to order would need to "roll up to the window". (A drive-through without a speaker is unheard of.) There is every appearance this location is low rent, which is ironic, given that it is located next door to Farmer Boys' corporate headquarters. I would strongly not recommend this this location, as it lacks proper convenience and hospitality.

Stay away from bad food

Just bad food. Service was good but there was only one other person eating. Spicy chicken sandwiches were just cheap lacking any flavor, something I would expect a McDonalds promo to be like. My wife ordered a burger special and like the chicken sandwiches, cooked to dryness, she threw it away and ate something at home, which missed the point of going out after working all day on new floor project. I picked F'sB and what a disaster that I had to take the blame. So bad (at the cost of over $50) I don't see how any of the three of us will ever return. Ironically everyone talks about the fall of service after COVID, turns out service was the only thing right.

Something Good has gone Very Bad

I'm actually surprised at the low rating this farmer Boys received. The food and service here are not bad. This is a company store and they usually are better. My complaint is 2 fold. The Rewards Program is horrible. I keep spending and get nowhere. Just when I think Ive earned something, I get zip. Under the old rewards program I earned food and discounts all the time. Its probably why its gone. Farmer Boys needs to loose the idiot who thought the new rewards program. I'm right at the point of going back to McDonalds. 2nd complaint. Farmer Boys isn't doing enough to control their Franchises. Its Bad really Bad. I have homes in So Cal and Las Vegas. The Farmer Boys Las Vegas is horrible and I've been to 5 of them. Low Quality and crappy service. I won't even try another one. The corporate owners are obviously greedy. Too much too fast. Line your pockets. Crappy by all standards. California Franchises are just as bad. It got to the point where if I'm out of the are and I go into one, I ask is this a franchise or company store. Believe me it makes a big difference

Good food equals growth

I recall eating at the original Farmer Boys many years ago, they have a variety of very good burgers and salads. Always friendly employees. Love the Farmer's Burger special, have had at least 75 of them over the years. Good food, reasonable prices, clean restaurants. One draw back,no child menu.

Great Breakfast Sandwich

Wow, what a surprise. The breakfast sandwich was excellent it was more than enough and I enjoyed it. I don't know how I missed this place as a breakfast stop. I would come here again for sure. The staff was excellent and they have great coffee.

Great for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner

Downtown Riverside with plenty of parking and easy access. Food is always first rate and served QUICKLY. Neighborhood is safe and clean. Breakfast is BIG. Hot cakes are good too! Hamburger is my favorite lunch time meal and I like the fish and chips for dinner. Easy access from freeway.

What's not to love! Great breakfast and burgers.

Farmers has good breakfast! They keep the coffee cup filled and I like that. You self order but the girls make the round of the room with the coffee and will bring you condiments as requested. They are very friendly. I have always received fresh, tasty food. Their portions are generous. I think it's better than the other fast food chains. They have lots of salads too if you are looking for a healthier option. They do not have a drive through.

A very fine venue for this chain !

Farmer Boys always has something we all enjoy. On this visit I had taken in some kids working nearby for an early dinner. Everyone had great burgers or sandwiches in large portions. Everything was prepared very well, as we have found in all location we have tried. The restaurant was clean and service was quick. As a side note, my students experienced a homeless person digging through a trash can at the entry for something to drink. Long story short, they ended up buying a meal as we just cannot have this happen. This is a continual problem in the downtown area, and does keep us away from certain venues for safety.

Excellent Service

We ate at this Farmer Boys after viewing the Festival of Lights nearby last week. The service was excellent and the food was tasty. My husband had the 3 piece fish plate. I had a side salad (large enough to share)and the clam chowder in a bread bowl. The side salad was very tasty. The clam chowder needed salt and more clams. My husband really enjoyed his fish dinner. I was very impressed by the service at this Farmer Boys.

Unfortunate lunch

My office is across the street, so often I bought to go lunch and ate at my desk. My last purchase of grilled chicken salad contained either sand from unwashed lettuce or broken glass. This was my very last visit at Farmer Boys.
