Red Scooter provided an excellent luncheon for a small family (COVID-19 compliant) gathering. Their sandwiches couldn’t have been better; delivery was punctual, prices were reasonable and it was effortless for those involved in the planning. Because RS prepared and delivered the food, fewer hands involved in the outcome. There were many compliments on the food by people who said they would now definitely be going to

This is a sandwich shop. Let me rephrase that, this is the sandwich shop. The BBQ beef sandwich is to die for but they have a huge menu. The staff is friendly and take great pride in providing their food with quick friendly service. It's located in the perfect location on the perimeter of the park in the recently restored Paso Robles downtown. You can shop, wine taste, shop, take in a movie in Paso's downtown and not just get lunch. However, if you want lunch (they close at 3pm) then Red Scooter is my favorite.

We ordered sandwiches on line for pick up and ate them at a local winery. My wife and I split the roast beef dip. They definitely know how to make a flavorful sandwich. The French roll bread was excellent - soft and flavorful. The meat was tender and also full if clover and we also requested provolone cheese on our sandwich. The ai-jus was a great complement to this sandwich and came in a separate soup bowl with a lid. It was tasty. Their ai-jus has a lot of seasoning that isn’t typical, but I still enjoyed it.
We also ordered a side of their potato salad. And we both gave it thumbs up. That’s unusual since we are both picky about potato salad!
Great place and their menu includes many different options.

The sandwiches were good and the people that work here are really nice. They are extremely busy but they are attentive to their customers. However, since you have to go pick it up anyway, order while there. We ordered online and ended up paying 20% more than if we had ordered in person. First of all, the sandwiches are more expensive online and secondly there are fees so overall we ended up paying ~20% more for no reason. The food wasn't ready when we got there to pick it up so we had to wait which was not a big deal but it gave us time to see the price list...

To clarify. Online ordering price and what you will pay on house is the same. The menu board pricing wasn’t accurate as we’ve raised prices across the board due to huge increase in my product costs that won’t be going down unfortunately. I’m just in the process of updating the physical menu boards. We do have disclaimers at register and on the boards stating price increases. I’m sorry you thought you over paid. I can assure you that the register price would have been the same. I’m sorry your order wasn’t ready though. We strive to have Pre-paid orders ready and waiting on our pick up table at our side door. We did have a few very large orders today that may have impacted your order resulting in a delay. I do hope that you return fir the great food and service.

First time here after several visits to Paso. Grab some sandwiches and a salad to take back to our hotel after a busy day. The lovely lady at the register made a point to wrap and cut them and make sure they'd stay fresh till dinner. Just very thoughtful AND the food was excellent! Ended up ordering breakfast from here the next day before wine tasting and the breakfast was also fresh and delicious. So lucky to have this place close to our hotel!

We used Red Scooter Deli to provide lunch while on a day or wine tasting, and unfortunately, were disappointed. The special instructions for our order (e.g., sauce on the side) were not followed, and the food overall was unremarkable. Sandwiches had too much bread, "gourmet" iced tea was mass-produced bottled. Not at all what we had hoped for.

I’m sorry to hear you weren’t happy with order. I’d appreciate more info about which day and order name was emailed to redscooterdeli@gmail.com so I can follow up with new staff about side sauce. As to bread, if you ordered a roll it would be bready. Sliced isn’t. The tea (if you ordered unsweetened black tea) is actually fresh brewed in-house daily and bottled in-house, because we can’t get microbrewed bottled tea right now due to product shortages. We want happy customers so feedback is much appreciated. If you could provide me with more information to address the issue with my staff that would be great. Thank you, Stephanie Johnston, Owner.

When we called at the last moment to order a sandwich platter for 25 ppl at 3pm, which we needed in 2 hours, Stephanie the owner of the deli said no problem, see you at 5:30.
They made this perfect assortment of sandwiches, also supplied plates and napkins. This is excellent customer service and we appreciate Stephanie coming to our rescue.

Tucked along the street is this deli, surrounded by tables scattered in front and alongside. The menu is full and free-ranging, with many healthy options. The veggie wrap is large and both crunchy and creamy. The BALT on sourdough was great, crispy bacon, creamy avocado and topped with lettuce and tomato. Relatively quick service. Later in the day we saw a delivery to a winery where we had a tasting- that’s good service!

We purchased lunch for four to take to the wineries and the food was delicious. Nicely packed and salads were large and full of yummy fresh ingredients. The potato salad is made with red skin potatoes and mustard and was so yummy.

Centrally located small Deli serving great sandwiches, friendly staff and very helpful. They open early so was perfect for us to pick up sandwiches here to take on our daily wine tour adventures. They do not have a WC but there is one in the park, also no Wi-Fi but on the upside, they do cater to vegetarians and vegans.

We recently went on a wine tour and our lunch was provided by Red Scooter Deli. The sandwich I had was SO amazingly delicious, we drove to Paso the next day so we could have it again! I had the BALT (Bacon, Avocado, Lettuce, and Tomato) and it came with a salad, chips, and cookie! My husband tried the Italian and on the next day tried the French Dip. We both wish we lived closer because we'd eat here a lot! Absolutely delicious, reasonably priced, and very friendly service!!

When we are in Paso, we always get a least one lunch from Red Scooter to take with us during a day of tastings. They do a great job - never had a issue. You get a good amount of food and it doesn't break the bank.
Now that you can place on-line orders for pick up, it's super fast.
If you want to eat at the store - very tight inside and there a a few tables outside.

Looking to bring a picnic to the winery? Stop by the Red Scooter deli on the way to the wineries. Great sandwiches and side salads for the winery. Food was great. I had the chicken salad and my wife had the Thai Salad.
Small space and during these covid times get in and out once you order. Would have been great if they offered cheese and crackers plates and/or fruit to complement the local wineries.
They were super busy. I would have done 5 stars but they were not he friendliest. Could be the times.

Rave reviews online that brought us here for lunch. Staff was friendly but our sandwiches were awful. My avocado Reuben was soaked with sauce, husbands turkey club mediocre, and both (hot toasted) sandwiches were cold and untoasted. They seemed very busy making to-go orders (I saw many wine tours use them for takeout sandwiches- those looked much better than ours!) might have been a busy day for them but we will never come back.

Im sorry you were disappointed. definitely unusual and sad. The turkey club is a cold sandwich under our "chillin" section. I've spoken to staff to be careful with the 1000 island dressing on Avo reuben - definitely an oops. It does get baked in the oven to warm it so not sure why cold unless consumed much later ? Again, we aim to please. If you try again, let me know and I'll treat you to some other options.

We tried Red Scooter for lunch. The pastrami and turkey/avocado sandwiches were fine. Decent sized and good flavor. Nothing particularly memorable. Red Scooter get the extra star because despite being busy, the line moved fast, the food came out reasonably fast, and the woman running the cash register was very friendly and welcoming. When considering the whole experience, we'd try Red Scooter again, we just might try different sandwiches.
